Texans | Effort a problem for Keke Coutee?    Sat Nov 9, 10:31 PM

Houston Texans WR Keke Coutee needs to be more 'detailed' during practices, according to head coach Bill O'Brien.

Footballguys view: Coutee is still worth holding in deep dynasty leagues, but his redraft value has bottomed out.

Texans | Keke Coutee catches three passes    Sun Oct 20, 06:47 PM

Houston Texans WR Keke Coutee caught three passes for 25 yards against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 7. He was targeted five times during the game.

Footballguys view: Coutee scored on an option pitch and could be on the edge of fantasy relevance against Oakland next week if Will Fuller is out. He'll be a deep league pickup this week.

Texans | Keke Coutee trending upward    Fri Sep 13, 02:02 PM

Houston Texans WR Keke Coutee (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 13, and could play in Week 2 after being inactive for the Texans' season opener. 'I would say the arrow is trending toward him being able to play, but I think we're going to have to probably see how today goes and see how he feels,' Texans coach Bill O'Brien said Friday. 'We've got a ways to go before the game. You guys have seen him. He's been out there at practice, so we'll see. The inactives this week, will be interesting.'

Footballguys view: The Texans don't have to push Coutee onto the field after adding Kenny Stills. Last year, Coutee never got back to 100% after he was brought back from a hamstring injury, so perhaps O'Brien wants to play it safe.

Texans | Keke Coutee takes part in practice    Thu Sep 12, 04:17 PM

Houston Texans WR Keke Coutee (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 12.

Footballguys view: Coutee should return this week, complicating a Texans wide receiver picture that has four players who are NFL starting level. It's not good for fantasy projections, but great for Deshaun Watson if he can stay on the field. Coutee is only a what the heck flex vs. Jacksonville.

Texans | Keke Coutee takes part in practice    Wed Sep 11, 06:25 PM

Houston Texans WR Keke Coutee (ankle) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 11.

Footballguys view: We'll see if Coutee can keep this up during the week. His speed and playmaking ability would help the Texans offense but it would cramp things for guys like Kenny Stills.

Texans | Keke Coutee questionable    Sat Sep 7, 04:49 PM

Houston Texans WR Keke Coutee (ankle) was limited during practice Saturday, Sept. 7, and is listed as questionable for Week 1.

Footballguys view: We'll see if Coutee can actually suit up against the Saints. If he does play, consider him just a deep 'what the heck' flex in Week 1. DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller should get most of the work. We love Coutee's talent but he's got to stay healthy in order to play up to that potential.

Texans | Limited practice for Keke Coutee     Thu Sep 5, 04:41 PM

Houston Texans WR Keke Coutee (ankle) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 5.

Footballguys view: Coutee is looking like he could play in Week 1, but we don't know how effective he will be or how much he will play. Leave him on the bench for this week and hope that he goes off outside of your lineup. Kenny Stills would be a viable WR3/FLex if Coutee can't go Monday night.

Texans | Keke Coutee trending up    Fri Aug 30, 11:23 AM

Houston Texans WR Keke Coutee (ankle) is trending in the right direction, but there's no determination on his Week 1 status, according to head coach Bill O'Brien.

Footballguys view: DeAndre Carter should get the start in the slot vs. New Orleans, but this is really good news for Duke Johnson, who should be a primary target against the Saints with their tough outside corners matching up against DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller.

Texans | Keke Coutee unlikely to be ready for opener    Tue Aug 27, 03:37 PM

Footballguys view: Coutee has talent but he's also banged up quite a bit. He'll have some flex appeal when he eventually returns to the field. Stay tuned.

Texans | Keke Coutee still not ready to practice    Thu Aug 22, 02:18 PM

Houston Texans WR Keke Coutee (ankle) remains sidelined with a sprained ankle, according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.

Footballguys view: Coutee is very questionable for Week 1, which makes Duke Johnson a very intriguing PPR RB2/Flex in the season opener against the Saints and for however long Coutee is out. Coutee had built a lot of momentum this offseason, but couldn't sustain it through the preseason. He's still worth a pick and stash in the second half of PPR drafts.

Texans | Keke Coutee to miss time    Sat Aug 10, 03:28 PM

Houston Texans WR Keke Coutee (ankle) likely will be sidelined for at least one week because of the ankle injury he suffered in the preseason game Thursday, Aug. 8, according to head coach Bill O'Brien.

Footballguys view: Coutee's Week 1 is not a sure thing, and his ADP should drop, although it wasn't reflecting his true ceiling demonstrated last year when he wasn't 100%. He should still be in draft plans.

Texans | Minor injury for Keke Coutee    Thu Aug 8, 10:25 PM

Updating a previous report, Houston Texans WR Keke Coutee (ankle) suffered an ankle injury against the Green Bay Packers Thursday, Aug. 8, but the injury isn't considered serious, according to a source.

Footballguys view: Hopefully he can get back on the field before Week 1 in practices. His draft stock should fall, but Coutee showed last year he can still have an impact coming back from an injury and this one shouldn't be as bad as the hamstring issue last year.

Texans | Keke Coutee catching his coach's eye    Tue May 21, 02:29 PM

Houston Texans WR Keke Coutee has enjoyed a good spring and has 'really improved,' according to head coach Bill O'Brien.

Footballguys view: Coutee has a ton of skill but he just needs to stay healthy. He played in only six games last year but flashed potential with the Texans passing game. We'll see if Coutee can stay healthy and produce behind DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller in 2019.

Texans | Keke Coutee aiming to stay healthy    Thu Apr 18, 09:46 PM

Houston Texans WR Keke Coutee said his main goal for the 2019 season is to be able to play all 16 games.

Footballguys view: That would be nice. Coutee is a dangerous playmaker with the ball in his hands. The Texans need a threat other than DeAndre Hopkins to emerge...and stay healthy...in the passing game. Coutee will compete with Will Fuller for that role, even though Fuller is more of a no.2 WR and Coutee is more of a no.3 WR.

Texans | Keke Coutee feeling 100 percent    Thu Feb 14, 12:06 PM

Houston Texans WR Keke Coutee (hamstring) said Thursday, Feb. 14, he is almost fully recovered from the chronic hamstring injuries which limited him miss 10 of the Texans' 17 regular-season/playoff games as a rookie this past season.

Footballguys view: Good news for Coutee as the Texans could use his speed as a no.3 WR behind DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller. 'I'm feeling great,' Coutee said. 'I'm feeling really good. I'm feeling like myself. The hamstring is good. I'm still resting a little bit. I'm going to start back training soon, but it's 100 percent.'

Texans | Keke Coutee officially questionable    Thu Jan 3, 05:05 PM

Houston Texans WR Keke Coutee (hamstring) fully participated in practice Thursday, Jan. 3, but is listed as questionable for the Wild Card playoff game.

Footballguys view: Coutee could be back in action for the Texans this week. A hamstring injury severely limited during his rookie season but the speed and run-after-the-catch ability he has when healthy can be quite dangerous. Having Coutee out there would be a boost for the Texans passing game.
