Raiders | Keelan Cole exits early    Thu Aug 4, 10:26 PM

Las Vegas Raiders WR Keelan Cole (head) exited the Hall of Fame Game against the Jacksonville Jaguars Thursday, Aug. 4, after taking a hit to the head.

Footballguys view: Cole is in a free-for-all to start at outside wide receiver opposite Davante Adams. Mack Hollins and Demarcus Robinson are also vying for the spot, which won't produce fantasy relevance unless Adams goes down, and maybe not even then.

Raiders | Favorites for Raiders' No. 3 WR    Tue Jul 19, 09:43 PM

Las Vegas Raiders WRs Mack Hollins and Keelan Cole are the favorites to land the No. 3 wide receiver role over WRs Demarcus Robinson and Tyron Johnson, per Vic Tafur and Tashan Reed of The Athletic.

Footballguys view: The Jets expected a lot more from Cole when they signed him to a one-year, $5.5 million deal last year. His price dropped to 1.278 million for the Raiders, with only $150,000 guaranteed. The team guaranteed $700,000 of Hollins pay, so they appear to value him more, but see both players as role players at best. This pass offense will run through Davante Adams, Darren Waller, and Hunter Renfrow, with Renfrow possibly being closer to Adams and Waller than early ADP indicates.

Raiders | WRs Cole and Hollins Impressing    Mon Jul 18, 12:40 PM

Vic Tafur, from The Athletic, reports Las Vegas Raiders WRs Keelan Cole and Mack Hollins could be the favorites to start opposite Davante Adams.

Footballguys view: Hollins and Cole compete with guys like DeMarcus Robinson and Tyron Johnson for the no.3 and no.4 spots on the depth chart. Besides Adams in the pecking order, Hollins and Cole are also behind WR Hunter Renfrow, TE Darren Waller, and one of the running backs (Josh Jacobs, Kenyan Drake, Zamir White). That means there's not much fantasy value for either veteran receiver when a depth chart is established.

Raiders | Vegas signing Keelan Cole    Wed May 11, 08:27 PM

Free-agent WR Keelan Cole (Jets) agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Las Vegas Raiders Wednesday, May 11, according to a source. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Footballguys view: Cole has flashed speed and big-play ability during his pro career. He's certainly a downfield target who averages a healthy 14.4 yards per catch in five pro seasons. Cole will compete with Bryan Edwards for the no.3 spot behind Davante Adams and Hunter Renfrow on the depth chart.

Jets | Keelan Cole comes off COVID list    Thu Dec 9, 01:51 PM

New York Jets WR Keelan Cole on Thursday, Dec. 9, was activated off the Reserve/COVID-19 list.

Footballguys view: Good news for the Jets passing game. Cole missed Week 13 against the Eagles, but he should be good to go for Week 14. With Corey Davis done for the year, Cole could get more snaps than some expect. Cole's return could take some targets away from Elijah Moore as well. It will be interesting to see how much rookie QB Zach Wilson leans on Cole. He's not yet fantasy relevant but that could change with the right opportunity and production.

Jets | Keelan Cole sees time with starters    Mon Jul 5, 02:38 PM

New York Jets WR Keelan Cole received snaps with the first-team offense during offseason workouts and could compete for a starting job during training camp.

Footballguys view: There has been a steady drumbeat this offseason about Cole. The Jets wide receiver situation is one to watch in training camp and the preseason. They have Corey Davis and rookie Elijah Moore as potential starters on the outside with Jamison Crowder working the slot. Cole is going to battle with Moore for that outside spot and will get work as a reserve if he's not a starter. They also could use 3-WR sets with Davis and Cole on the outside and Moore in the slot.

Jets | Keelan Cole making quick impression    Sun Jun 20, 08:12 PM

New York Jets WR Keelan Cole 'will be in the wide receiver rotation' following an impressive minicamp, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN.com.

Footballguys view: Recent reports out of Jets camp indicate Cole, and not Denzel Mims, could emerge as an outside target opposite of Corey Davis. Mims could get on the field to stretch the field with his speed and ball-tracking ability but speculation is that he's not a good fit for the Mike LaFleur offense. Add in Jamison Crowder and standout rookie WR Elijah Moore, and you can see how Mims might be on the outside looking in when it comes to the Jets new-look wide receivers room. This will shake out in training camp...so stay tuned.

Jaguars | Keelan Cole accounts for 143 yards    Sun Oct 18, 06:17 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Keelan Cole registered six receptions for 143 yards and nine targets in Week 6 against the Detroit Lions.

Footballguys view: Cole had the two biggest downfield plays in the Jaguars passing game and he has done very well to enhance his value going into a contract year. He should be carried in all but short bench leagues.

Jaguars | Keelan Cole posts 43 yards receiving    Fri Sep 25, 02:01 AM

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Keelan Cole caught four of five targeted passes for 43 yards on Thursday, Sept. 24, against the Miami Dolphins.

Footballguys view: Cole looked good on his targets and made one spectacular catch but didn't get a chance to make any impact play or score in the third straight game to start the season. He remains high floor depth, but this game showed that his weekly ceiling might be higher when DJ Chark is out there despite the widening of Gardner Minshew's target tree.
