Footballguys view: Latimer appeared to have a chance to get early playing time with Wes Welker's suspension, but the team is content to keep him inactive in deference to the veterans. He can be dropped in shallow bench leagues, and maybe more, but be ready to pick him up if there's news of any involvement in the potent Peyton Manning offense.

Broncos | Tony Carter expected to be on bubble    Fri Jul 18, 11:21 PM

Denver Broncos CB Tony Carter is expected to be on the roster bubble during training camp.

Footballguys view: The Broncos have an improved secondary, and adding players like Aqib Talib and Bradley Roby may push Carter off the depth chart. The veteran is a risk taker who can bait quarterbacks into bad throws. However, Carter can get burned with his aggressive style. If he makes the team, it will be as the fifth corner on the depth chart.

Broncos | Tracy Porter could be inactive    Fri Nov 23, 07:26 PM

Denver Broncos CB Tracy Porter (illness) has been cleared to return to action, but because of the stellar play of CBs Tony Carter and Chris X. Harris in his absence, he could be inactive once again in Week 12 against the Kansas City Chiefs. 'Chris and Tony, everybody has been playing great,' Porter said. 'Why would you stop their chemistry? I wouldn't stop that chemistry. We'll see what happens.'

Footballguys view: You can lose your job to injury in the NFL. Porter has been outplayed by both Carter and Harris this season. He gives them great veteran depth at the CB position, but may not see the field much unless there's an injury.
