NFL | Dez Bryant interested in two clubs Sat Mar 13, 11:32 AM
Free-agent WR Dez Bryant (Ravens) said that he has interest in playing for the Arizona Cardinals or Dallas Cowboys. However, it is unknown if either team has mutual interest.
Footballguys view: The interest may not be mutual. Bryant isn't completely out of gas for his career but he's far from the weapon that he used to be. If he lands somewhere, Fantasy GMs shouldn't be overly excited. |

Ravens | Dez Bryant unlikely to return Wed Feb 24, 01:42 PM
Baltimore Ravens impending free-agent WR Dez Bryant said he hopes to play two more seasons but indicated that he likely will not re-sign with the Ravens.
Footballguys view: Bryant is not what he used to be but he could still latch on with a team as veteran depth. He'll likely have to wait for a new opportunity, and he could go into training camp without a team. Maybe we're wrong and some team wants to sign him in the spring, but this is where Bryant is at in his career. |

Baltimore Ravens WR Dez Bryant is expected to play against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 9, according to a source.

Ravens | Dez Bryant activated Sat Nov 7, 04:47 PM
Baltimore Ravens WR Dez Bryant was elevated to the 53-man roster Saturday, Nov. 7.
Footballguys view: It's an interesting note but who knows how much fantasy value is really here. First, the Ravens are a run-heavy team who has not been keeping WR Marquise Brown happy. Second, Bryant is not the same player he used to be and may only see a small amount of snaps. |

Ravens | Dez Bryant signs with BAL Tue Oct 27, 12:02 PM
Free-agent WR Dez Bryant (Cowboys) was signed to the Baltimore Ravens' practice squad Tuesday, Oct. 27.
Footballguys view: And away we go! Bryant worked out for the Ravens back in August and the team finally brings him on board now that it's almost November. He's been out of the league since tearing his Achilles' with the Saints in 2019. The Ravens aren't much of a high-powered passing game, so Bryant is only a 'what the heck' flex if he does get on the field for the Ravens. |

Ravens | Dez Bryant joining BAL? Thu Oct 22, 11:43 AM
Free-agent WR Dez Bryant (Cowboys) is expected to join the Baltimore Ravens' practice squad if his workout goes well, and he passes a physical.
Footballguys view: The Ravens worked out Bryant this summer and now may actually sign him. Bryant has been out of the league since tearing his Achilles' tendon with the Saints last year. In deeper leagues, Bryant is worth a speculative add...although the Ravens wide receivers aren't great options as weekly starters. |

Ravens | Baltimore may not add Dez Bryant now Thu Aug 20, 03:11 PM
Free-agent WR Dez Bryant (Saints) worked out for the Baltimore Ravens Thursday, Aug. 20, but the two sides are not expected to reach a contract agreement at this time, according to a source.
Footballguys view: The Ravens did work out Bryant but no deal as of yet. They were just updating their emergency list and could sign Bryant at a later date. He hasn't been in the league since tearing his Achilles' with the Saints in 2019. We'll see if Bryant gets a new home before the start of the 2020 regular season. |

Undrafted free-agent QB Kenji Bahar (Monmouth) and free-agent WRs Dez Bryant (Saints) and Dwayne Harris (Raiders), along with free-agent P Johnny Townsend (Giants) tried out for the Baltimore Ravens Tuesday, Aug. 18.
Footballguys view: Bryant is the player that gets the most attention here. The veteran has been out of the league since tearing his Achilles' with the Saints last year. Bryant would bring much-needed veteran depth to the Ravens WR corps. Harris would as well, but he would likely be a return man primarily if signed. |

NFL | Dez Bryant's sights on NFL only Fri Feb 14, 02:07 PM
Free-agent WR Dez Bryant continues to lobby for a reunion with the Dallas Cowboys and isn't considering a prove-it trial in the XFL. 'Nah, not at all,' Bryant said recently. 'I know I can still play. That's not an issue for me. I have high confidence in myself. No disrespect to the XFL, I just know I can play in (the NFL), that's not a question.'
Footballguys view: Good luck with that. |

Cowboys | Dez Bryant interested in reunion Sun Feb 9, 06:08 PM
Free-agent WR Dez Bryant (Saints) has reached out to the Dallas Cowboys about a possible reunion. 'he has texted me that he would like to come back,' team vice president Stephen Jones said last week. 'We have nothing but great respect for Dez and what he accomplished here.'
Footballguys view: Bryant hasn't played since 2017 and is not the same player he used to be. While a reunion sounds like a great story we just don't see it happening. Jones said the team has made no decision on Bryant and they are just starting to meet with new head coach Mike McCarthy about personnel. |

Cowboys | Dez Bryant asks to return Fri Feb 7, 01:54 PM
Free-agent WR Dez Bryant recently texted team vice president Stephen Jones saying that he would like a chance to return to the Cowboys. 'He has texted me that he would like to come back,' Jones said via the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. 'We have nothing but great respect for Dez and what he accomplished here. Certainly, as we look forward into the future we look at all opportunities and all potential players that could maybe help us out.'
Footballguys view: That means 'no thanks.' Bryant has not played since 2017 and was out of the league last year. He is recovered from the Achilles' injury he suffered in 2018 but at 31-years old teams don't seem too fired up to work him out. We doubt that Bryant sees the field again in the NFL. |

NFL | Dez Bryant posts video of workout Tue May 7, 05:00 AM
Free-agent WR Dez Bryant (Achilles') posted a video across social media showing him catching passes and running, as he makes his way back from a ruptured Achilles' tendon.
Footballguys view: He's about six months in his recovery and might garner some interest when we get closer to training camp. Bryant was with the Saints last year in practice when he tore his Achilles' and perhaps they would consider bringing him back if he is at full strength. |

Saints | Dez Bryant to miss eight months Sat Nov 10, 12:57 PM
New Orleans Saints WR Dez Bryant's (Achilles) MRI confirmed a torn Achilles' tendon, and he is expected to be sidelined for around eight months, according to a source.
Footballguys view: This means Bryant will be ready by training camp next year. He signed only a one-year deal with the Saints so we'll have to see if he can generate interest next offseason on the open market...while recovering from an Achilles' injury at 30-years old. |

Saints | New Orleans could sign Brandon Marshall Sat Nov 10, 01:22 AM
The New Orleans Saints could sign free-agent WR Brandon Marshall (Seahawks) if WR Dez Bryant (Achilles') did indeed suffer a torn Achilles' tendon in practice on Friday, Nov. 9, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Footballguys view: Marshall worked out for the Saints on Tuesday, the same day that Bryant did. The Saints signed Bryant because they need more from the wide receivers behind Michael Thomas. Rookie Tre'Quan Smith has flashed some interesting ability but behind him there's little left with Cameron Meredith on Injured Reserve. Marshall could give them veteran depth. He caught 11 passes for 136 yards and one touchdown in seven games for the Seahawks this year. |

New Orleans Saints WR Dez Bryant (Achilles') suffered an injury in practice Friday, Nov. 9, that we acquired him to be helped off the field. Bryant is expected to undergo an MRI soon, but the team fears Bryant may have suffered an Achilles' tear.
Footballguys view: The team is usually right when they fear this kind of injury, so we can drop Bryant. His 2018 is likely over before it started. Tre'Quan Smith should be added if he was dropped on the Bryant signing news. |

Saints | Dez Bryant's Saints debut up in air Thu Nov 8, 12:05 PM
New Orleans Saints WR Dez Bryant has begun work with his new team after signing Tuesday, Nov. 6, but head coach Sean Payton declined to commit to Bryant playing in Week 10. 'We'll see,' Payton said on a media conference call Thursday, Nov. 8. 'It would be hard for me to comment not having had a practice yet. But we'll take a peek and see how he does today and tomorrow, and then we'll fill you in Sunday.'
Footballguys view: Bryant would be a boom/bust WR3/Flex if he does play, but Cameron Meredith was not getting much in the way of targets or snaps in the role and Bryant would be eased in with his conditioning and familiarity with his role unknown. |

Saints | Dez Bryant agrees with Saints Wed Nov 7, 11:39 AM
Free-agent WR Dez Bryant (Cowboys) agreed to a one-year deal with the New Orleans Saints Wednesday, Nov. 7. Financial terms weren't disclosed.
Footballguys view: Bryant has been out of action all season long as he was looking for the right landing spot. He gets that with a great opportunity in New Orleans. His signing is bad news for rookie Tre'Quan Smith. We should see Smith's targets go down when Bryant is up to speed. Bryant could produce like a WR3 or flex option with upside for Fantasy GMs. |

Saints | Dez Bryant to work out for Saints Mon Nov 5, 08:23 PM
Free-agent WR Dez Bryant (Cowboys) is scheduled to work out for the New Orleans Saints Tuesday, Nov. 6, according to sources.
Footballguys view: The Saints are just updating their emergency list here. Bryant hasn't gotten much attention on the open market for some time and he's stayed patient, reportedly turning down an offer from Baltimore earlier this year. The Saints look like they can make a Super Bowl run and that should be quite attractive to the veteran receiver. |

Texans | Houston unlikely to pursue Dez Bryant Fri Oct 26, 02:40 PM
Free-agent WR Dez Bryant (Cowboys) likely will not receive interest from the Houston Texans even after WR Will Fuller (knee) suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

NFL | Dez Bryant expects to sign soon Sat Sep 29, 12:26 PM

Bryant is positive about his situation but we'll take a more skeptical view...it still may be some time before Bryant finds a new home. Stay tuned. |
