Ravens | Week 14 injury report for Baltimore    Fri Dec 7, 04:09 PM

Baltimore Ravens S Tony Jefferson (ankle), OL Alex Lewis (shoulder), CB Jimmy Smith (not injury related) and LB Terrell Suggs (not injury related) did not practice Friday, Dec. 7. Jefferson is listed as doubtful for the Week 14 game against the Kansas City Chiefs, while Lewis is questionable. The others are off the report. CB Marlon Humphrey (groin) was a limited participant, while QB Joe Flacco (hip), OL James Hurst (back), LB Anthony Levine (ankle), CB Tavon Young (groin) and LB Tim Williams (ankle) practiced in full and are each listed as questionable. WR John Brown (not injury related), WR Michael Crabtree (not injury related), S Eric Weddle (not injury related) and OL Marshal Yanda (not injury related) practiced in full and are off the report.

Footballguys view: Jefferson will be missed at the back end of the pass defense with the Chiefs up next. Tampa is on the schedule in Week 15 and the Chargers in Week 16, so the hope is that Jefferson can return soon to help slow down these strong passing attacks.

Baltimore Ravens WR John Brown (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 30, and is not on the injury report for Week 13.

Ravens | John Brown held to one catch    Sun Nov 25, 05:11 PM

Baltimore Ravens WR John Brown caught one pass for 25 yards against the Oakland Raiders in Week 12.

Footballguys view: Brown had seven targets and a long catch was called back by penalty, but he did nothing for fantasy teams for the second straight week. He does have what the heck WR3/Flex high ceiling usage next week because of the matchup at Atlanta, but as long as Lamar Jackson is in, expectations are low.

Ravens | John Brown held to one catch    Sun Nov 18, 06:20 PM

Baltimore Ravens WR John Brown caught one pass for 23 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 11.

Footballguys view: Brown's fantasy stock deflated along with the ball in the Ravens offense on Sunday. He won't be worth playing unless Joe Flacco comes back, even with Oakland up next week.

Ravens | John Brown held in check    Sun Nov 4, 05:22 PM

Baltimore Ravens WR John Brown caught three passes for 17 yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 9.

Ravens | John Brown targeted seven times    Sun Oct 28, 04:37 PM

Baltimore Ravens WR John Brown posted three grabs for 28 yards on seven targets in Week 8 against the Carolina Panthers.

Ravens | John Brown targeted 14 times    Sun Oct 7, 05:18 PM

Baltimore Ravens WR John Brown posted four receptions for 58 yards on a game-high 14 targets in Week 5 against the Cleveland Browns.

Footballguys view: Brown was targeted like a #1 receiver, but he didn't produce like one. The Browns have a budding #1 corner in Denzel Ward who may see a lot of Keenan Allen next week. If this is a floor game for Brown, then he's still a solid WR2/WR3 against the Titans next week.

Baltimore Ravens WR John Brown turned nine targets into five receptions for 86 yards in Week 3 versus the Denver Broncos.

Footballguys view: The 'No Fly Zone' is done in Denver...and without Aqib Talib this is a secondary that should get picked on every week. Keep that in mind when securing your lineup.

Ravens | John Brown scores again, paces Baltimore    Fri Sep 14, 12:02 AM

Baltimore Ravens WR John Brown caught four passes for a team-high 92 yards and a touchdown Thursday, Sept. 13, at the Cincinnati Bengals.

Footballguys view: Browns had a dazzling touchdown catch at the front corner of the end zone and won a deep ball on a contested catch. He could have had an even bigger night if Joe Flacco had been able to hit him deep more often. He'll be an upside WR3/Flex play against Denver next week.

Ravens | John Brown 'better than advertised'    Tue Aug 14, 09:32 PM

Baltimore Ravens WR John Brown has been 'a complete receiver for us,' according to head coach John Harbaugh.

Footballguys view: Brown will rival Michael Crabtree for weekly ranking and value as long as he is healthy, and if Crabtree draws Tre'Davious White Week 1, Brown will be more valuable in the matchup against the Bills. Reserve a late-round pick for Brown, but be ready to move on if he gets dinged and can't get back on the field, a common scene from recent years.

Ravens | John Brown remains standout performer    Sat Aug 11, 12:11 PM

Baltimore Ravens WR John Brown made three impressive catches during practice Saturday, Aug. 11, and continues to be the best receiver during training camp, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Jamison Hensley. Brown and QB Joe Flacco have shown great chemistry throughout camp.

Footballguys view: Flacco still has a big arm and loves to stretch the defense vertically. That's exactly the skill set Brown brings to the wide receiver position. Brown is currently going undrafted in 12-team PPR leagues but keep his name on your waiver wire speed dial.

Ravens | John Brown keeps impressing    Sat Jul 28, 09:41 PM

Baltimore Ravens WR John Brown continued to 'stand out' among the receivers during practice Saturday, July 28, according to Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic.

Footballguys view: When Brown is healthy, there's no doubt he can make plays. The Ravens have revamped their WR corps this offseason, going to free agency for the likes of Brown, Michael Crabtee and Willie Snead. The only Ravens WR Fantasy GMs are drafting is Crabtree, currently going off the board at WR28 (6.05) in 12-team PPR leagues. If Brown impresses in training camp and the preseason, keep him on your waiver wire speed dial in deeper leagues.

Ravens | John Brown turns in solid practice    Thu Jul 26, 11:36 PM

Baltimore Ravens WR John Brown had his best practice of training camp Thursday, July 26, catching a 50-yard touchdown and adding a difficult catch along the sideline, according to Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com.

Footballguys view: The only thing holding Brown back from fantasy relevance is his sickle cell condition that makes it hard for him to stay healthy. He is definitely a top late round pick with his proven quality game and clear path to a starting job in an offense that uses Joe Flacco's arm to take frequent deep shots.

Ravens | John Brown returns    Thu Jun 14, 11:45 AM

Baltimore Ravens WR John Brown (knee) returned to practice Thursday, June 14.

Footballguys view: Brown was exceptional once upon a time, but three injury filled years later, he's nothing to hang your hat on. He could bounce back but we will wait to pick him up off the waiver wire if he suddenly produces.

Ravens | John Brown misses practice    Wed Jun 13, 06:35 PM

Baltimore Ravens WR John Brown (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, June 13, because of a knee injury he suffered Tuesday, June 12.

Footballguys view: Brown is a seasoned veteran, so the team will monitor his progress closely. He's got the speed to be a 'lid lifter' at the WR position and could become a favorite deep target of QB Joe Flacco this year.

Ravens | John Brown not at workouts    Thu May 24, 03:35 PM

Baltimore Ravens WR John Brown (personal) was not present for organized team activities Thursday, May 24, because of a personal issue.

Footballguys view: Since 2015 when Brown top thousand yards this production has declined every year. We're not seeing an uptick in his future right now, so he looks like he's going to be no more than a bye week wide receiver with almost no upside.
