Texans | Brink signed    Tue Aug 18, 08:53 PM

The Houston Chronicle reports the Houston Texans have re-signed QB Alex Brink to serve as the team's No. 3 quarterback. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Footballguys view: Brink knows the Texans system, and he should be a fine #3 for the remainder of training camp, but Dan Orlovsky can certainly breathe easier now that Rex Grossman is out of the backup QB battle.

Texans | Grossman, Brink would compete for No. 3 job    Mon Jun 15, 06:29 PM

The Associated Press reports Houston Texans QB Rex Grossman and QB Alex Brink would compete for the No. 3 quarterback job if head coach Gary Kubiak decides to keep three quarterbacks on the roster.

Footballguys view: Grossman should be able to beat out Alex Brink, and then he should battle Dan Orlovsky for the backup spot behind Matt Schaub. Every season Schaub eventually breaks down so Grossman could see the field for a few weeks in 2009.
