Jaguars | Mathis could be out in Week 8 Tue Oct 27, 03:23 PM
The Associated Press reports Jacksonville Jaguars CB Rashean Mathis (finger) could miss the team's Week 8 game against the Tennessee Titans because of a broken index finger on his left hand. Mathis is wearing a cast and has a screw in his finger with several stitches. Both the cast and stitches will be removed later this week, but he does not expect to practice this week and is unsure if he will play. If Mathis is unable to start, CBs Scott Starks or Tyron Brackenridge would likely start at cornerback. When Mathis returns, he expects to wear a smaller cast on his finger.
