Footballguys view: Dobbins and Edwards are coming back from the knee injuries that cost them the entire 2021 season. Both should be ready for the start of the regular season, but neither should get much work in training camp or the preseason. The Ravens signed veteran free agent Mike Davis to carry the load in the summer, and Davis could be the starter in Week 1 if they want to ease Dobbins into action.

Ravens | Three to compete for OLB job    Sat Jul 18, 06:00 PM

Baltimore Ravens LBs Tyus Bowser, Jaylon Ferguson and Pernell McPhee will compete for one of the starting outside linebacker jobs during training camp.

Footballguys view: Bowser was a second round pick in 2017 and has the highest ceiling. Ferguson was a third round pick last year and more of a natural sack artist. McPhee has the most experience by far and started seven games for the Ravens last year, but the team might be hoping one of the youngsters steps up and outplays him in camp.

LB Pernell McPhee (non-injury) did not practice but is not on the injury report. WR Chris Moore (illness) and CB Brandon Carr (non-injury) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report.

Footballguys view: The Ravens will be without two of their top four corners this week and a third is questionable. The Cardinals four wide air raid offense could find some weaknesses to exploit.

Baltimore Ravens RB Kenneth Dixon (undisclosed), TE Darren Waller (suspension) and LB Tyus Bowser (groin) will play in their first preseason game of the year this week.

Baltimore Ravens RB Kenneth Dixon (hamstring), TE Mark Andrews (undisclosed), LB Tyus Bowser (undisclosed) and OT Greg Senat (undisclosed) all returned to practice Saturday, Aug. 4, after missing time over the past week.

Footballguys view: Dixon's absence was short enough that it shouldn't affect his status in the backfield. He's a battle with Javorius Allen for touches behind Alex Collins. Allen is the more reliable player, but Dixon has more talent and upside.

Ravens | Tyus Bowser leaves practice    Fri Jul 27, 05:08 PM

Baltimore Ravens LB Tyus Bowser (undisclosed) left practice early Friday, July 27, but did not appear to be favoring anything when he was walking off the field.

Footballguys view: Bowser has a ton of upside as a pass rusher, and can also drop into coverage. The Ravens defense is deep, so they can afford losing him for some period of time if this ends up being serious, but he is poised to do more in the defense this year.

Ravens | Baltimore selects Tyus Bowser    Fri Apr 28, 08:27 PM

The Baltimore Ravens selected Houston LB Tyus Bowser with the No. 47 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft Friday, April 28.

Footballguys view: We're trying to come up with a good "Mario-Luigi-Bowser' joke, but that princess is probably in another castle. And if you got that, you need to get off the couch more - just like us. You can move Bowser all around, putting him just off the line of scrimmage or making him a 'Joker' in some sub-packages. Another nice piece to the rebuilding Ravens defense.

NFL | Tyus Bowser busy with visits    Thu Apr 20, 12:42 PM

Houston LB Tyus Bowser's predraft visits include the Miami Dolphins and Atlanta Falcons, in addition to the previously reported meeting with the Baltimore Ravens.

Footballguys view: An undersized edge rusher who missed part of the season after breaking his orbital bone in a fight with a teammate, the best of Bowser may be yet to come. A two-sport athlete, he's still adjusting to his position. If a team has patience, the payoff could be a diamond in the rough.

Kansas State DE Jordan Willis met with the Baltimore Ravens Tuesday, April 18, and the Ravens are scheduled to meet with Houston LB Tyus Bowser Wednesday, April 19.

Footballguys view: Willis is one of our favorite players in this draft class. He's incredibly smart and does a good job of diagnosing plays as they unfold in front of him. Willis plays to the echo of the whistle and is known as a leader in the locker room.
