Tampa Bay Buccaneers DT Gerald McCoy (hand) is unlikely to play in Week 3 against the Atlanta Falcons Thursday, Sept. 18. McCoy fractured his hand just four days ago, and he said that playing too soon increased the risk of making the injury worse. With McCoy out, DT Da'Quan Bowers will have a chance to make his presence felt.
| Footballguys view: This could be good(ish) news for the Falcons offense. Not having McCoy will weaken the run defense, which could give you a shot at a little more than the expected RB3 numbers for Steven Jackson. It shouldn't impact Matt Ryan all that much, given that we expected solid QB1 numbers from him anyway. |

Tampa Bay Buccaneers OG Carl Nicks (foot) has been ruled out for Week 11. WR Chris Owusu (foot) and DE Da'Quan Bowers (concussion) are listed as questionable. OG Davin Joseph (knee), OT Donald Penn (calf), DT Akeem Spence (wrist), CB Michael Adams (knee), CB Danny Gorrer (groin) and SS Mark Barron (knee) are listed as probable. Nicks and Bowers did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 15, while the other players fully participated in practice.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers DE Da'Quan Bowers (concussion) has not yet been cleared to return to practice, and he could have to sit out in Week 11.
