Free-agent DE Kroy Biermann (Falcons) is expected to sign a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills, according to a source. The financial terms have not been disclosed.

Lions | Kroy Biermann visiting Lions    Wed Jun 8, 10:18 AM

Free-agent DE Kroy Biermann (Falcons) is visiting the Detroit Lions Wednesday, June 8.

Footballguys view: The Lions still want to find pass-rushing help if they can. Biermann has spent his entire eight-year pro career with the Falcons. As a part-time player in 2015, Biermann had only 2.5 sacks. If added, Biermann would only be counted on for veteran depth and wouldn't see the field that much unless injuries strike ahead of him on the depth chart.

Atlanta Falcons DL Kroy Biermann (ankle) is questionable to return to Week 2's game against the St. Louis Rams because of an ankle injury.

Falcons | Kroy Biermann serving as versatile defender    Fri Nov 23, 07:22 PM

Atlanta Falcons DE Kroy Biermann was the emergency linebacker the last three games with LB Sean Weatherspoon (illness) out of action. Biermann is playing a traditional defensive end in the 4-3 defense but when the team uses the 3-4 or 3-3-5 alignments, he's more of an outside 'backer. 'We ask him to rush the passer,' head coach Mike Smith said. 'We ask him to cover backs. We ask him to cover tight ends. We ask him to close the middle of the field. You just don't know where he's going to be.'

Falcons | Kroy Biermann pushing for starting job    Fri Aug 20, 05:52 PM

Atlanta Falcons head coach Mike Smith said DE Kroy Biermann is pushing for a starting job because of his performance during training camp as well as preseason games, reports D. Orlando Ledbetter, of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. 'There's no doubt about it. Production is what's it's all about and Kroy is definitely making a statement with his play in these first two ballgames,' Smith said.

Footballguys view: Biermann has been a playmaker in limited duty, so he is a nice DE4 flier in IDP leagues while he has this positive momentum.

Atlanta Falcons DEs Kroy Biermann, Jamaal Anderson and Lawrence Sidbury will compete for snaps at left defensive end during training camp, according to D. Orlando Ledbetter, of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Footballguys view: Biermann was a good playmaker last year, but he will probably be too up-and-down to trust in IDP leagues. Sidbury is the guy to own in dynasty leagues, and he could make a big step forward this year.

Falcons | Other ends seeing more work with Abraham out of action    Wed May 27, 06:02 AM

D. Orlando Ledbetter, of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, reports with Atlanta Falcons DE John Abraham (undisclosed) missing action during OTAs, the team is able to give more snaps to DL Jamaal Anderson, Kroy Biermann, Chauncey Davis and Lawrence Sidbury.

Footballguys view: The Falcons selected Lawrence Sidbury in the 4th round of the 2009 NFL Draft and he is certainly a player to keep an eye on because his potential as a pass rusher is huge. In the FCS Championship Game Sidbury had an amazing performance with 4 game-changing sacks to help seal the victory for the Richmond Spiders. He was at both the Shrine Game and the Senior Bowl this year and stood out from the crowd in both Houston and Mobile. He is a tremendous athlete that has perfected his "Sidbury Spin" move to get after the QB. It could take a few years for him to develop fully as a pass rusher, but it's likely that the Falcons got a steal in the 4th round.
