Saints | Eno Benjamin out for season    Sat Aug 5, 12:33 PM

New Orleans Saints RB Eno Benjamin (Achilles') suffered a torn Achilles and is out for the season, head coach Dennis Allen announced on Saturday, Aug. 5.

Footballguys view: Eno Benjamin was competing to earn a spot down the depth chart behind guys like Alvin Kamara, Jamaal Williams, and rookie Kendre Miller. The Saints may look to sign a veteran or look to other teams who release a back if they feel more depth is needed.

Texans | Eno Benjamin finds new home in Houston    Tue Nov 15, 04:04 PM

Free-agent RB Eno Benjamin (Cardinals) was claimed off waivers by the Houston Texans on Tuesday, Nov. 15.

Footballguys view: It's an interesting landing spot for Benjamin, a surprise cut by the Cardinals on Monday. Benjamin could work in tandem with talented rookie RB Dameon Pierce. Essentially, Benjamin could take over the role Rex Burkhead has had with the team...and he should be more productive with those touches.

Cardinals | Eno Benjamin gets the boot    Mon Nov 14, 03:56 PM

Arizona Cardinals RB Eno Benjamin was informed of his eventual release Monday, Nov. 14.

Footballguys view: Things change pretty quickly around here in an...interesting move for the Cardinals. Benjamin was tasked with starting while RB James Conner was banged up back in October. Now, Benjamin finds himself out of a job. The Cardinals roll on with Conner as their starter. Rookie Keaontay Ingram is a sleeper we've loved in deep dynasty formats. Now, Ingram gets a chance to be the primary backup to Conner. With Conner's injury history, Ingram could be quite fantasy relevant in the future and is worth a stash if you have a deep bench.

Cardinals | Eno Benjamin tops 100 yards, scores    Fri Oct 21, 01:33 AM

Arizona Cardinals RB Eno Benjamin had 12 carries for 92 yards and a touchdown during the team's Week 7 victory over the New Orleans Saints. Benjamin added 21 yards on four receptions (five targets) in the passing game.

Footballguys view: Benjamin had a 40+ yard run early and got solid gains on most of his carries. He scored in the second half to make the week for fantasy teams and could have had an even bigger game if Keaontay Ingram hadn't gotten the first rushing score for the team. James Conner and Darrel Williams could be back soon, but Benjamin's performance makes him worth a bench stash even when he goes back to a smaller role.

Cardinals | Eno Benjamin to start Week 6's game    Sat Oct 15, 08:54 AM

Arizona Cardinals RB Eno Benjamin will start in Week 6's game versus the Seattle Seahawks, according to head coach Kliff Kingsbury. RB Keaontay Ingram will be active for the first time in his NFL career as a backup and RB Corey Clement will be activated from the practice squad to fill out the position.

Footballguys view: We're excited to see what Benjamin can do with a featured role. From a fantasy perspective, Benjamin has RB2 upside. If you plucked him off the waiver wire, feel good about putting him in the starting lineup. From a deep dynasty perspective, we're also excited to see what Ingram can do with a few touches here and there.

Cardinals | Eno Benjamin the backup?    Sun Sep 4, 09:42 PM

Arizona Cardinals RB Eno Benjamin has 'continued to impress' during the preseason, and Doug Haller of The Athletic believes than Benjamin has 'forced' his way into the backup running back role.

Footballguys view: Benjamin, a seventh-round pick out of Arizona State in the 2020 NFL draft, has outplayed free agent addition Darrel Williams for the no.2 job behind starter James Conner. With Benjamin's electric skill set, he's worth monitoring in PPR formats where his speed and big-play ability could get him on the field during passing downs. If you have bench space, Benjamin is most certainly worth stashing away.

Cardinals | Eno Benjamin hype continues    Sun Jul 3, 06:26 PM

Arizona Cardinals RB Eno Benjamin is 'a guy to look for' in 2022, according to teammate and OG Justin Pugh. 'He looked great in minicamp,' Pugh said. 'He's probably been our best outside zone running back that we've had on the roster, even last year.' Pugh also noted that Benjamin has greatly improved in pass protection. 'He had to learn how to pass protect,' Pugh explained. 'And that was really the only thing. You can't trust a guy to be in the game if you can't trust him to pick up pass protection and he's gone night and day from last year to this year, so I think he's going to have a big jump.'

Footballguys view: Benjamin is getting a steady drumbeat of hype this offseason...and all Fantasy GMs should be listening. The Cardinals have RB James Conner as their starter, but he is known to get banged up. An injury to Conner could open the door for guys like Benjamin, Darrel Williams, and rookie Keaontay Ingram to do more. Even with Conner healthy, Benjamin could get on the field as a receiving back and speed back who threatens the defense in space. We'll see if he can match his offseason hype with strong performances in the preseason.

Cardinals | Benjamin front-runner to back up Conner    Sun Jul 3, 05:05 PM

Josh Weinfuss, of ESPN.com, reports that RB Eno Benjamin has caught the eye of head coach Kliff Kingsbury, and that he is the lead to back up James Conner.

Footballguys view: Benjamin hasn't gotten on the field much in his first two years, but it sounds like his quickness and passing game skills have made him the favorite to take over at least part of Chase Edmonds job. Fantasy players have zeroed in on Darrel Williams as the Conner injury upside play, but it may be Benjamin. Weinfuss does write "it's up to Benjamin to continue his offseason pace and keep the job", so consider the question of who to pick up if Conner misses time (which is likely) still open and to be determined.

Cardinals | Eno Benjamin looks 'tremendous' in offseason     Sat Jun 18, 04:22 PM

Arizona Cardinals RB Eno Benjamin had a 'tremendous' showing during the offseason workouts, according to head coach Kliff Kingsbury. 'Eno Benjamin has been tremendous. (He is) another guy who never had an offseason and he's out there and looks like he could be a starting running back,' said Kingsbury.

Footballguys view: Benjamin is fighting for a roster spot with sixth round pick Keaontay Ingram and 2020 UDFA Jonathan Ward also vying to be the third string back behind James Conner and Darrel Williams. He hasn't gotten much opportunity in his first two seasons after the Cardinals took the Arizona State product in the seventh round of the 2020 draft. Conner has never played every game in a season, so knowing who wins this battle could be important in fantasy leagues.

Cardinals | Eno Benjamin poised for more playing time    Tue Nov 9, 01:17 PM

Arizona Cardinals RB Eno Benjamin has 'made strides' over the last year and is expected to see more playing time while Chase Edmonds is sidelined with the high-ankle sprain he suffered in Week 9 against the San Francisco 49ers.

Footballguys view: James Conner can lead the way on the ground, but he's had a propensity to get banged up. It just makes sense to use Benjamin as a change-of-pace back. It gets his explosive skill set on the field, and using more Benjamin would help Conner stay fresh. With his likely role in that explosive offense, Benjamin has deep flex appeal for Fantasy GMs.
