Bills | Career year for Cole Beasley?    Fri Aug 30, 09:44 PM

Buffalo Bills WR Cole Beasley was signed to help QB Josh Allen make more efficient throws, and he could top his career high of 75 receptions this year, according to Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com.

Footballguys view: Beasley should greatly help Allen by being a reliable and consistent target who gets open with regularity. We don't think he's going to best that 75-catch total he had a couple of years ago. Instead, projecting Beasley for around 50 catches in 2019 seems fair.

Bills | Andre Roberts working with first team    Tue Aug 6, 02:22 AM

Buffalo Bills WR Andre Roberts has been consistently rotated in with the first-team offense along with WRs Cole Beasley, John Brown, Robert Foster and Zay Jones. 'He's done a good job,' head coach Sean McDermott said. 'We've had some injuries there so he is very willingly stepped up and shown what he has.'

Footballguys view: Roberts is a seasoned veteran who mostly stands out with his play on special teams. He's not much of a fantasy factor with that role, but it is interesting to see him get first-team work as a wide receiver.

Bills | Cole Beasley to be monitored    Thu Jul 25, 06:26 PM

Buffalo Bills WR Cole Beasley (core) will participate in practices during training camp, but the team will keep an eye on him since he is coming back from a core muscle surgery, according to head coach Sean McDermott.

Footballguys view: The Bills revamped their WR corps this offseason and Beasley will be counted on to work the underneath routes for QB Josh Allen. Coming off a 65-catch season last year for the Cowboys, Bealsey should be projected for about 50 catches this year with the Bills.

Bills | Four Bills WRs should be ready for camp    Sat Jul 13, 01:42 PM

Buffalo Bills WRs John Brown (personal), Cole Beasley (core), Zay Jones (undisclosed) and Robert Foster (undisclosed) all missed some offseason workouts but all four are expected to be ready for the start of training camp.

Footballguys view: The Bills revamped their WR corps this offseason through the draft and free agency. Jones is the top receiver, but the pecking order behind him needs to be established. Beasley can work underneath as a slot receiver, so we'll see if Brown or Foster can win the deep threat job in 2019.

Bills | Cole Beasley winning over QB    Sun Jul 7, 08:40 PM

Buffalo Bills WR Cole Beasley is going to be a 'safety valve' in the passing game, according to QB Josh Allen.

Footballguys view: That should be Beasley's main priority for the Bills. He will work the underneath routes to give Allen a consistent target to go to whenever the chains need to move or he's under too much pressure. The Bills are going to feature a run-heavy offense, so that does put a cap on Beasley's potential. From a fantasy perspective, it's fair to project Beasley for around 45 catches in 2019.

Bills | Cole Beasley set to lead team in catches?    Fri Jun 28, 04:39 PM

Buffalo Bills WR Cole Beasley is the favorite to lead the team in receptions in 2019 due in part to offensive coordinator Brian Daboll's emphasis on the short passing game, in the opinion of the Buffalo News' Vic Carucci.

Footballguys view: Beasley might only post 50-60 catches on his way to this goal. If Brian Daboll and company can get Josh Allen to consistently execute and take the high percentage pass, Beasley could have some fantasy relevance, but he's not worth drafting except in very deep PPR leagues.

Bills | Cole Beasley should be ready for camp    Wed Jun 5, 03:34 PM

Buffalo Bills WR Cole Beasley (core) is on schedule in his recovery and should be ready for the start of training camp.

Bills | Cole Beasley recovering from surgery    Tue May 21, 12:13 PM

Buffalo Bills WR Cole Beasley (core) underwent core-muscle surgery a few weeks ago, head coach Sean McDermott said Tuesday, May 21, and is being held out of OTAs.

Footballguys view: Beasley should be ready for training camp. The Bills picked him up this offseason to be their new slot receiver. We should see Zay Jones and John Brown on the outside with Beasley working the underneath routes in 2019.

Bills | Cole Beasley officially joins Bills    Wed Mar 13, 05:31 PM

Free-agent WR Cole Beasley (Cowboys) officially signed with the Buffalo Bills Wednesday, March 13.

Footballguys view: Beasley is part of the revamped wide receiver corps for the Bills. He should provide a relief valve target for second-year quarterback Josh Allen. The offense is not high powered through the air, so don't expect Beasley to do more than what he did with the Cowboys.

Bills | Buffalo will add Cole Beasley    Tue Mar 12, 12:48 PM

Dallas Cowboys impending free-agent WR Cole Beasley plans to sign a four-year contract with the Buffalo Bills worth $29 million, according to sources. The deal will include $14.4 million in guaranteed money.

Footballguys view: The Bills continue to add to their wide receiver corps in free agency. Beasley will work the underneath routes while new addition John Brown will use his speed to take the top off the defense. They're doing their best to get more weapons around second-year quarterback Josh Allen.

Cowboys | Cole Beasley seeking $20 million    Sun Mar 3, 11:17 AM

Dallas Cowboys impending free-agent WR Cole Beasley is reportedly seeking $20 million in guaranteed money, according to Calvin Watkins of The Athletic.

Footballguys view: Good luck with that. This isn't a great group of free agent wide receivers, so perhaps Beasley could come close to that number.

Cowboys | Dallas wants Cole Beasley back    Thu Feb 28, 12:48 PM

Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley likely will test the market as an unrestricted free agent, but the Cowboys are still hoping they can re-sign him at the right price. 'Oh, we love Cole Beasley,' Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said Thursday, Feb. 28. 'If you followed our football team the last few years you know the impact that he's made on our team. He's a great young man, and he's been a heck of a player for us, but you know the business of the NFL is challenging. There's a lot of different guys that you want to keep on our team, throughout the free agent process, and unfortunately when you have players like Cole Beasley, other teams want them, too. So we certainly want Cole Beasley back. Again, he's made a huge impact on our team. We want him with our team as we go forward for a long, long time, but business will creep into that on both sides. Hopefully we can get to a point where we can make a deal with him and some of these other guys where it works well for everybody and we keep moving forward.'

Footballguys view: It sounds like Beasley doesn't want to come back based on comments from earlier this offseason. Beasley posted that the Cowboys' front office "pushes who they want to get the ball to" on Twitter back in late January. We'll see if he can find a different home in 2019.

Cowboys | Allen Hurns could play in slot     Tue Feb 26, 03:05 PM

Dallas Cowboys WR Allen Hurns could take over as the slot receiver if impending free-agent WR Cole Beasley is not re-signed. Jones iterated that the Cowboys would like to retain Beasley.

Footballguys view: The Cowboys should have a lot of options even if they can't afford Beasley, but it makes sense to look on the roster first. Some have said that Hurns is better in the slot, so this could end up helping the team get more value out of his signing.

Saints | New Orleans to sign slot receiver?    Sat Feb 9, 02:10 AM

The New Orleans Saints could try to sign a free-agent wide receiver to play the slot next season, in the opinion of ESPN's Mike Triplett, who names Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb, Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley, Philadelphia Eagles WR Golden Tate and Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Adam Humphries as possible targets in free agency.

Footballguys view: The Saints will be looking for more talent at the wide receiver position. That could come through free agency with one of the players mentioned above. Michael Thomas is a stud, and Tre'Quan Smith has intriguing upside...and oh yeah, Ted Ginn can still be a deep threat. That's a nice trio but we're expecting the Saints to add more competition to the WR corps.

Bills | Buffalo could target veteran pass catchers    Fri Feb 8, 01:24 AM

The Buffalo Bills may be interested in signing someone like Philadelphia Eagles WR Golden Tate, Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley or Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook in free agency, in the opinion of Forbes' Curtis Rush.

Footballguys view: The Bills have a young group of receivers, led by Zay Jones and Robert Foster. Perhaps adding some veteran depth to that room would help. They could also use a veteran tight end, perhaps like Cook, since Charles Clay isn't getting any younger.

Lions | Detroit to pursue slot receivers?    Fri Jan 25, 09:31 PM

Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley and WR Tavon Austin and New England Patriots WR Cordarrelle Patterson and WR Chris Hogan could be options for the Detroit Lions in free agency, according to Nate Atkins of MLive.com. Atkins believes the Lions will want a veteran presence in the slot to pair with WR Kenny Golladay.

Footballguys view: Those players are all options for the Lions this offseason. They'll need a slot receiver to work underneath routes like Golden Tate used to. In fact, there is speculation that Tate might be on their radar to return in free agency after they traded him to the Eagles last season.

Packers | Cole Beasley a possible fit in Titletown    Fri Jan 25, 01:11 AM

Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley could be a possible free-agent target for the Green Bay Packers, in the opinion of the Green Bay Press-Gazette's Pete Dougherty, assuming the team does not retain WR Randall Cobb, who is also a free agent.

Footballguys view: Beasley is going to have some suitors on the open market as his time in Dallas is done. He can get open on underneath routes and he basically would fit in with the Packers where Cobb was.

Cowboys | Cole Beasley vents about role    Tue Jan 22, 05:13 PM

Dallas Cowboys impending free-agent WR Cole Beasley claimed Tuesday, Jan. 22, that the Dallas front office encourages the coaching staff to get the football to certain players. 'I haven't been a huge priority in that regard. Maybe that will change but I'm not sure,' Beasley said.

Footballguys view: Coming off a 65-catch season in 2018, there should be more than a few teams interested in Beasley. He doesn't sound like a guy who wants to stay in Dallas.
