Patriots | Several players sidelined    Sat Jun 14, 11:31 PM

New England Patriots WRs Aaron Dobson (foot) and Brandon LaFell (undisclosed) were sidelined from practice Saturday, June 14. DT Armond Armstead (undisclosed), DL Dominique Easley (knee) and DT Tommy Kelly (knee) were also sidelined.

Footballguys view: Bad news for Dobson and LaFell. Both need to stay on the field and establish the best chemistry they can with Tom Brady. Dobson was a second-round pick last year, but he struggled to impress as a rookie. LaFell was a free agent addition this offseason who is best known for being a run-blocker and career underachieving wide receiver.

If the team keeps five interior linemen again this season, Jones and Siliga appears to be safe, with DLs Armond Armstead, Joe Vellano and Marcus Forston on the outside of the bubble.

Patriots | Two will start season on NFI list    Mon Aug 26, 01:17 PM

New England Patriots WR Mark Harrison (foot) and DE Armond Armstead (undisclosed) will start the season on the Non-Football Injury list.

Footballguys view: Harrison is an intriguing prospect to monitor in super deep dynasty leagues. He went undrafted and was already cut from the Bears earlier this year. Harrison has good size and can wrestle the ball away from smaller defensive backs. He struggles to get cleanly out of his break and thus will usually have to catch contested passes. Harrison has always had potential but has yet to truly play up to that level yet.

Patriots | Armond Armstead contract update    Wed Jan 23, 05:35 PM

Updating a previous report, the New England Patriots have signed DL Armond Armstead to a three-year deal worth $1.485 million. He is scheduled to make $405,000 in 2013, $495,000 in 2014 and $585,000 in 2015.
