Jets | Limited practice for Robby Anderson    Thu Nov 14, 05:46 PM

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson (back, shoulder) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 14.

Footballguys view: Anderson has been a massive disappointment this year as he has failed to come through in good matchups like this weekend's vs. Washington. He's only a desperation play at this point.

Jets | Robby Anderson limited to one reception    Sun Nov 10, 06:28 PM

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson caught one pass for 11 yards against the New York Giants in Week 10. He was targeted three times during the game.

Footballguys view: Anderson drew a long pass interference penalty but that is no solace to fantasy teams that are rolling snake eyes in matchups that should be creating big numbers for him. He has another favorable matchup against Washington next week, but fantasy players will be hesitant to trust him.

Jets | Robby Anderson catches two passes    Sun Nov 3, 06:17 PM

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson caught two passes for 33 yards against the Miami Dolphins in Week 9. He was targeted four times during the game.

Footballguys view: Anderson had one of the best matchups on the schedule and came up small. The Giants matchup next week is almost as good, but this result will make us hesitate before playing him. If the trend continues, he could be droppable, although still a buy low in dynasty.

Raiders | Oakland interested in Robby Anderson    Sat Oct 26, 01:38 AM

The Oakland Raiders are one of the team's interested in acquiring New York Jets WR Robby Anderson, according to The Athletic's Connor Hughes.

Footballguys view: The Raiders have added Zay Jones via trade earlier this year and they might not be done adding talent to the WR position. The trade deadline is on Tuesday, and most expect Anderson to be moved (Eagles?) before then.

Jets | Robby Anderson available for trade?    Thu Oct 24, 04:04 PM

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson can reportedly be had before the Oct. 29 trade deadline 'for the right price,' according to sources via the New York Daily News' Manish Mehta.

Footballguys view: Anderson would make sense for Arizona, Philadelphia, New Orleans, or Baltimore, or really any team that believes in him as a #1 and likes their quarterback and offense to unlock his value. He has some off-field issues to explain before securing a long term commitment. If the Jets don't want to sign Anderson and they can get more than a third round pick, a trade makes a lot of sense. Demaryius Thomas, Jamison Crowder, and Chris Herndon can pick up the slack if Anderson is traded.

Jets | One catch for Robby Anderson    Sun Oct 6, 06:51 PM

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson caught one pass for 16 yards against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 5. He was targeted three times during the game.

Jets | Robby Anderson should play    Sat Sep 14, 04:40 PM

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson (calf) fully participated in practice Saturday, Sept. 14, and is not on the injury report for Week 2.

Footballguys view: We're in wait-and-see mode with the Jets offense now that Trevor Siemian is the quarterback. He was known to check down a lot when he was the starter with the Broncos. We'll see what kind of chemistry Siemian has with Anderson and the rest of the weapons on the Jets offense. Anderson should be considered a WR4 in Monday night's game against the Browns.

Jets | NY Jets' Friday practice report    Fri Sep 13, 04:49 PM

New York Jets QB Sam Darnold (illness), DL John Franklin-Myers (foot), LB C.J. Mosley (groin), WR Demaryius Thomas (hamstring) and DL Quinnen Williams (ankle) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 13. OT Kelvin Beachum (ankle), RB Le'Veon Bell (shoulder), WR Braxton Berrios (hamstring), DL Steve McLendon (hip), OG Brian Winters (shoulder) and OG Alex Lewis (shoulder) were limited in practice Friday. S Jamal Adams (hip), WR Robby Anderson (calf), C Ryan Kalil (calf), LB Frankie Luvu (hand) and S Rontez Miles (hip) were able to fully participate in practice Friday.

Footballguys view: Mosley is trending towards being out, which is a bad sign since the Jets defense collapsed without him last week. Upgrade all of your Browns if he's out.

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson (calf) was listed as a full participant in practice Thursday, Sept. 12.

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson caught three passes for 23 yards against the Buffalo Bills in Week 1. He was targeted seven times during the game.

Footballguys view: Anderson was working through a calf injury all week in practice. Add in the tough matchup against the Bills secondary and it leads to this disappointing production.

Jets | Robby Anderson expected to be in uniform    Fri Sep 6, 07:24 PM

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson (calf) is expected to play in Week 1 even though he is listed as questionable for the game.

Footballguys view: Anderson has been banged up for some time with this calf injury, so we're not excited to get him in the lineup for Week 1. Not only is it his calf injury, but Bills CB Tre'Davious White is going to be covering Anderson and that's not good for his prospects in the season opener.

Jets | Robby Anderson questionable    Fri Sep 6, 05:58 PM

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson (calf) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 6, and is listed as questionable for Week 1.

Footballguys view: Anderson is a bit banged up but that's not our biggest concern with him this week. The larger concern is that he's going up against Bills CB Tre'Davious White and that could limit what Anderson does in Week 1. He's a WR3 or flex play for Fantasy GMs this week.

Jets | Robby Anderson practicing    Wed Sep 4, 12:12 PM

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson (calf) is practicing Wednesday, Sept. 4.

Jets | Robby Anderson making progress    Mon Sep 2, 12:41 PM

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson (calf) is 'trending towards playing' in Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills, according to head coach Adam Gase.

Footballguys view: We'll see if Anderson can make it back to practice at some point later in the week. Anderson is their top target at the wide receiver position and has at least flex appeal in Week 1 against the Bills.

Jets | Robby Anderson day-to-day    Wed Aug 28, 03:44 PM

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson (calf) is considered day-to-day because of a calf injury.

Footballguys view: This injury is considered minor but Anderson's status for Week 1 is a bit up in the air. If there are no setbacks, he could be ready for the season opener. We'll know more when the Jets (and everybody else) has to submit an injury report next Wednesday.

Jets | Long catch for Robby Anderson    Sat Aug 24, 11:10 PM

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson had two catches for 60 yards, including a 41-yard reception, in a 28-13 preseason loss to the New Orleans Saints Saturday, Aug. 24.

Footballguys view: Anderson looks ready to deliver in a contract year. He has a young quarterback to grow with and has a ceiling much higher than his mid-round ADP if he rises to the occasion against a tough schedule of #1 corners.

Jets | Robby Anderson to run wider selection of routes    Tue Jul 9, 07:31 PM

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson will be more involved in the offense in 2019, according to head coach Adam Gase. 'We're just going to keep trying to think of ways to get him the ball, ways to create variety in his routes,' Gase said. 'Instead of just doing one or two things, maybe we can open that thing up to five, six, seven things to where he's a threat on multiple levels whether it be underneath, intermediate or down the field.' Anderson said his goal is to become 'the best receiver in the NFL.'

Footballguys view: Anderson should be able to thrive under Gase. Former Jets OC Jeremy Bates never really knew what to do with the veteran receiver. Anderson is a WR3 with upside for Fantasy GMs in 2019. He has a current ADP of WR31 (7.04) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Jets | Robby Anderson impresses    Mon Jun 17, 11:46 AM

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson was deemed a 'very pleasant surprise' by new general manager Joe Douglas. 'He's a tough weapon for defenses to match up with, he can get behind you and he can challenge the defense vertically,' Douglas said. 'That was a very pleasant surprise.'

Footballguys view: Over the last month of the 2018 season, Anderson performed at a high level. We'll see if he can carry that over to this season. New head coach Adam Gase should have plenty of ways to use Anderson as a favorite target of second-year QB Sam Darnold. Anderson has a current ADP of WR30 (6.12) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Jets | Robby Anderson still sidelined    Thu Jun 13, 09:10 PM

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson (undisclosed) did not practice Thursday, June 13, because of an undisclosed injury.

Footballguys view: We'll be watching this as Anderson looked like a #1 in the making with Sam Darnold last year, but has to start over with a new coaching staff in a contract year. He could vastly outproduce his modest ADP.

  Jets | Robby Anderson a non-participant    Tue Jun 11, 12:39 PM

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson (undetermined) is present at the team's minicamp practice Tuesday, June 11 but is not participating in team drills.

Footballguys view: Anderson wants to have a bounce-back year in 2019 after struggling with injuries and a rookie quarterback in 2018. Signed to a one-year, $3.1 million contract earlier this year Anderson has a current ADP of WR30 (7.02) in 12-team PPR leagues.

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson signed his restricted free-agent tender Thursday, May 16.

Jets | Robby Anderson sets goal for 2019    Fri Apr 5, 06:50 PM

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson said he expects to post at least 1,000 yards next season.

Footballguys view: Anderson went from WR15 in 2017 to WR33 in 2018 (standard scoring leagues), and he's a clear candidate for a bounce-back season in 2019. We're interested to see how new head coach Adam Gase constructs this Jets offense with some fine weapons, including Anderson, this season.

New York Jets restricted free-agent WR Robby Anderson has impressive speed and also the ability to track deep passes, according to head coach Adam Gase.

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson caught three passes for 24 yards against the New England Patriots in Week 17.
