Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier said CB Asher Allen has decided to retire.
| Footballguys view: Allen started 20 games for the team over the last two years. The move comes as a shock as Allen is only 24 years old. Free agent signings Chris Carr and Zachary Bowman and third-round pick Josh Robinson will get a chance to compete for the role freed up by Allen's retirement. |

Minnesota Vikings CBs Asher Allen and Benny Sapp are expected to start in Week 15 against the New Orleans Saints with CB Marcus Sherels playing the nickel. If CB Cedric Griffin is active, he will likely be on the bench. 'Our guys are going to try and fight to the very end,' head coach Leslie Frazier said. 'That's what you like about (Benny) and (Asher) and some of the guys that are going to be playing. They're going to give it all they can.'
