We are proud to bring you the return of the Footballguys.com Staff Confidence Pool Challenge. 22 Staff members will pick the winner of each NFL game, and rank each choice from most confident (16 points) to least (1 point). As a tie-breaker, the person who is closest to the total points scored on the last Monday Night game will be the winner. Winners will be announced from week to week and the best overall record will be crowned Confidence pool Champion. Picks and ranks are due on Wednesday, so any late-breaking news may not be reflected in the choices. Also please note that no point spread is taken into account with these picks – it is a straight up pick of which NFL team will win this week. See the other confidence pools for picks against the spread (ATS) or Survivor / Eliminator style.
WEEK 4 RESULTS
Last week shows why it's important to manage risk properly. Andrew Garda finished at the top of the weekly board by 1 point, despite missing two more games than John Lee did. What killed John was that he put 15 confidence points on the Cardinals. Garda lost more games, but the Cardinals and Cowboys were the two lowest confidence points that he had. Nice job to both of them.

The Cardinal were a big hit to the entire board with everyone losing something on that game. As mentioned above, Garda only risked 2 points though, which was a big part of why he won this weeks contest. Buffalo and Oakland were also tough losses, but the board was less confident in the games.
OVERALL RANKINGS
Wood and Larkin remained #1 and #2 on the overall board. Wood actually extended his lead a couple points finishing with 91 compared to Larkin's 89. Bitonti took a beating and fell to the middle of the pack. Grant moved into 3rd, but fell another point behind Larkin and another 3 behind Wood.

HEAVY FAVORITES
Atlanta, KC, Green Bay, New York Giants, Arizona were all unaminous selections this week. The Cardinals are the least confident of that group though with just 136 confidence points vs. more than 200 for the others. The Patriots are also a heavy favorite, with 239 confidence points, but a few people picked Dallas to upset them at home. Buffalo and Philadelphia were also heavy favorites in their respective games, but with much less confidence than the other teams we've mentioned here.
DUAL SUPPORT
San Diego is favored to beat the Steelers on Monday night, but that contest was the one with the lowest total confidence points this week. With only 79 total points from the field, you might want to move this game down a peg or two in your office pool. Jacksonville and Tampa are basically a coin toss, with only 81 total confidence points, but both teams weighted about equal. Tonight's game with Indy and Houston is filled with question marks. See below for more on that.
ODDS AND ENDS
The picks were due on Wednesday night - before Matt Hasselbeck was officially announced as the starter for the Colts. Hasselbeck is also sick, so who knows who will be under center by game time. The line on that game has shifted to Houston being a 4 point favorite and it will likely move a little more as the day progresses. Please be careful when making your picks.
With 4 teams off this week on a bye, 105 points is the maximum amount of confidence points that any player can win this week.
Justin missed the deadline to get his picks in this week, but his totals will be included in the final results next week.
Good luck this weekend!
