Tre Mason was the star of the show for the DraftKings Bargain Buys in Week 13, and there wasn't a lot of other success. Sure, the Jaguars defense was amazing, and a few other players met value, but no one came close to Mason. Hopefully you played him last week and we'll try to turn that profit into even more in Week 14. The Value Play at each position is based off of the projections of David Dodds, while the Bargain Buy is my personal recommendation. You don't want a roster full of these guys, but using 1-2 of them could help you win your GPP.
Quarterback
Value Play
Brian Hoyer ($5200) vs. Indianapolis- Hoyer is one of only two dual plays on FanDuel and DraftKings this week. That's a designation that has been very successful this year, and it should continue in Week 14. Hoyer just needs an average game to meet value and much more than that is possible against the Colts. We love the Hoyer-Gordon stack, but we'll get to an even sneakier stack later in the article.
Bargain Buy
Drew Stanton ($5200) vs. Kansas City- Stanton hasn't been good by any means, but strictly from a daily fantasy perspective he's been efficient. The Chiefs may be the only team crumbling faster than Arizona and their secondary will be the first part to fall. Stanton should have success as long as his line can buy him time and if they can't he may pick up points on the ground.
Running Back
Value Play
Andre Williams ($4400) vs. Tennessee- Williams will be a huge value and very highly owned if Rashad Jennings sits on Sunday. Often times we'll shy away from highly owned players in GPPS but Williams would be a must own if he's the starting back for New York. If he's not he becomes a very sneaky play spelling a running back with a bum ankle. Even if Jennings does play I like Williams to see 10-15 touches which would be plenty against this defense.
Bargain Buy
Jonathan Stewart ($3800) vs. New Orleans- Speaking of sneaky plays, Stewart figures to see plenty of action with DeAngelo Williams out again. In the PPR format of DraftKings, Stewart should be a near lock to meet 3x value with a much higher potential if he can get in the end zone. The only thing that scares me about Stewart is if the Panther get blown out, but even that would present pass catching opportunities.
Wide Receiver
Value Play
Pierre Garcon ($4000) vs. St. Louis- Garcon is a ridiculous value at this price despite his recent struggles. Colt McCoy has the offense rolling and it is only a matter of time before Garcon gets his too. This Rams defense has been much better in the second half but there secondary can still be exposed. Garcon has the potential to meet value on receptions alone, but a touchdown wouldn't hurt.
Bargain Buy
Charles Johnson ($4300) vs. New York Jets- Johnson has become the #1 receiver in Minnesota and now he gets a Jets secondary that is devoid of talent. Johnson has 22 targets over the past 2 weeks, which elevates his floor above nearly anyone at this price. It's not often you gets a team's best option at receiver against one of the worst pass defenses in the league for this price.
Tight End
Value Play
Kyle Rudolph ($3300) vs. New York Jets- I wouldn't suggest putting both Johnson and Rudolph in your lineup, so this is more an either or. Rudolph scored his second touchdown of the year in Week 13 and it shouldn't surprise anyone if he gets #3 against the Jets this week. It's taken him a little longer than his redraft owners would have liked but in DFS he's back and it's time to take advantage of his lower price.
Bargain Buy
Jordan Cameron ($3000) vs. Indianapolis-The Browns are optimistic that Cameron will play this week, but you'll still need to make sure before you lock him into your lineup. A Hoyer/Cameron stack or even Hoyer/Gordon/Cameron stack has the type of upside and low ownership that could win you a GPP. When Cameron is healthy he's a threat for 15+ fantasy points in this format and that type of value doesn't come around often.
Defense
Tennessee vs. New York Giants- There's nothing about the Titans defense to be excited about except for their opponent. The Giants are creative in their ways to turn the ball over and their mediocre when it comes to protecting Eli Manning as well. They could be a dud, but at their price the upside makes it enticing.
