QUARTERBACKS
Drew Brees $9,100 - Brees is starting to pick up steam at the right time as he has thrown for 12 touchdowns over the past 4 weeks and has a prime home matchup this week against the Falcons very bad defense. If you are looking for a shootout style of game this week you have to think that this is a top 3 game to give you points from both offenses and for Brees to end the game with any less than 300 passing yards and 3 touchdowns just doesn't seem possible. He is the top QB option of the week and comes at a bit of a discount compared to the other elite QB options.
Tony Romo $8,400 - Over the past 7 games Romo has thrown at least 3 touchdown passes in 5 of those and he has a good chance to do the same this week against a Colts defense that can give up a lot of points through the air. Romo has been playing some great football and this week he is once again on the big stage at home in a must win type of game against the Colts in which looks like a shootout style of game on paper. Look for Romo and Luck to battle back and forth all game long and putting a lot of points on the board through the air.
Matthew Stafford $8,200 - Stafford has not had the eye popping QB stats as some of the other big name QB's this season but he has been leading his team to a lot of wins and is making good decisions with the football each week. The Lions are in a good position to make a nice playoff run and it all lies on Stafford at the QB position over the final two weeks. In a soft defensive matchup against the Bears, look for Stafford to come out early and often and try to set a tone and find his two main WR's in Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate.
Value Plays: Kyle Orton $7,200, Jimmy Clausen $5,000
RUNNING BACKS
C.J. Anderson $7,800 - Anderson has rushed for a total of 148 times in 2014 and out of those carries 109 have come over the past 4 weeks. In those 4 games he also has recorded 5 total touchdowns and has become the go to guy in a pass heavy offense. One of the main benefits of starting Anderson is that you get to sweat it out on the Monday Night game and with the Broncos on the road look for them to try to set the tone early with the running game.
Tre Mason $6,500 - Mason has played in 10 games so far in his rookie season and has seen an average of 15 carries a week. After hitting it big in Week 13 against the Raiders he has seen back to back tough matchups against Washington and Arizona and his numbers have took a drastic hit. With a home matchup against the Giants, Mason is primed for another big volume game and will have a good chance at finding the endzone against one of the worst run defenses in the league.
Fred Jackson $6,700 - The Bills continue to surprise in 2014 and are showing no signs of quitting on the season after a big performance against the Packers last week. Now they get a cookie cutter matchup against the Raiders where they will continue to push the tempo of the game and ride the running game throughout. Jackson is having another underrated season and has slowly put up very respectable numbers posting 862 total yards, 56 targets and 3 total touchdowns. Look for Jackson to add to those numbers in a big way this week.
Jonathan Stewart $6,200 - Stewart has a third straight good rushing matchup against the Browns this week. After Jeremy Hill ran all over the Browns last week you have to think that Stewart will be able to put up respectable numbers as well. Stewart is coming off 42 carries over the past two weeks in which he 228 yards and a touchdown. Looking for a 100 yard and a touchdown performance out of Stewart this week is not out of the question.
Value Plays: Lamar Miller $6,300, Pierre Thomas $5,700
WIDE RECEIVERS
Calvin Johnson $9,200 - This one is easy as the Bears defense is one of the worst in the league and Johnson is the best WR in all of football. If you have the money to spend on a top WR this week you will want to make sure it is put on Calvin Johnson as he is almost a sure bet to find the endzone against the Bears.
A.J. Green $8,600 - In a primetime matchup against the Broncos look for Green to come out to play and improve upon his 61/959/6 touchdown statline. The Broncos and Bengals could turn into a high scoring contest if Peyton Manning gets back on track passing the football. If that happens the Bengals will have to counter with their own passing attack and Green is the central peice in that happening.
Golden Tate $7,400 - Tate has been one WR this season that has finally broke out in a big way and still has not gotten the right amount of press for doing so. Tate has caught 91 passes for an incredible 1224 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns. Tate has become an instant favorite target of Matthew Stafford and comes at a deep discount if you are looking to fade fellow teammate Calvin Johnson.
Vincent Jackson $6,700 - The lack of touchdowns this season for Jackson (2) have really tainted his fantasy value even with the fact that he has caught 66 passes for 931 yards. The Buccaneers are in a situation where they could be in a large hole against the Packers by half time and both Jackson and Evans might be heavily targeted in the second half in garbage time roles as the Buccaneers look to take chances deep down the field.
Kenny Stills $6,100 - Stills continues to be a nice value play at the WR position at only $6,100 against a very weak Falcons secondary. If you are rostering Drew Brees it would be foolish not to pair him together with Kenny Stills as the two have been gaining chemistry as the season has been progressing.
Value Plays: Marques Colston $6,100, Robert Woods $5,700, Dwayne Bowe $5,500
TIGHT ENDS
Rob Gronkowski $7,800 - Gronkowski has really turned things up this season as Brady's go to target all over the field. Through 14 games Gronkowski has a 76/1093/11 statline and should look to improve upon that with a TE friendly matchup against a weak Jets defense.
Travis Kelce $5,600 - Kelce is having the play book open up a little bit for him over the past two weeks as he has 12 targets, 169 yards and 1 touchdown. With a playoff style matchup against the Steelers, look for Kelce to once again see an increase in targets and for him to be a big target in the redzone.
Value Plays: Dwayne Allen $5,400
KICKERS
Greg Zuerlein $4,700 - Over the past 5 games Zuerlein is averaging 2 field goals a game and the Rams offense has been moving the ball well and with a home game against a struggling Giants defense they should have a few field goal opportunities once again.
Value Play: Mason Crosby $4,900
DEFENSE
New England Patriots $5,600 - The Patriots continue to get better and better as the season comes to a close. With only two weeks remaining in the season and a Week 16 matchup against the lowly Jets the Patriots have potential to create a bunch of turnovers and a very good chacne to get a defensive touchdown. Over the past 4 games the Patriots defense has recorded 13 sacks and 4 interceptions.
Value Plays: Buffalo Bills $5,100
