Week 15 of the FanDuel Sunday Million was another high scoring one as RB David Johnson dominated the scoring with 42.90 points at a 31.2% ownership rate. Dank18 was one of the many users that rostered him and he built his first place team around him and scored an amazing 226.64 total points this week. His team only used $59,800 of the salary, leaving $200 of the salary cap on the table. With Johnson being his most popular play it was TE Jordan Reed who was his next most popular at 16.6% owned at $6,300 and scored a position high of 23.90 points.
He did have a very unusual stack with three Broncos players in Brock Oswieler at 0.4% owned, Emmanuel Sanders at 0.8% owned and DeMaryius Thomas at 4.3% owned. The fact that he had a triple stack was one thing but the more surprising part was at the low ownership levels. On top of the Broncos stack he also had two more players from that game on the Steelers side with DeAngelo Williams and Antonio Brown making it five players rostered from the same game. With the back and forth passing game this strategy worked out well for him with those that were scared off by the Broncos defense.
Rounding out his team was Jason Myers at kicker and he surprisingly only scored 6 FanDuel points but it was the other positions and players that made the big difference on the week. For defense it was the Patriots as the pivot off of the Seahawks and it proved to be a strong play as they scored 18 total points.
Position | Player | Salary | FanDuel Points | % Owned |
QB | Brock Osweiler | $6,700 | 30.74 | 0.4% |
RB | DeAngelo Williams | $7,000 | 14.10 | 10.1% |
RB | David Johnson | $6,500 | 42.90 | 31.2% |
WR | Emmanuel Sanders | $7,100 | 31.50 | 0.8% |
WR | DeMaryius Thomas | $7,700 | 20.60 | 4.3% |
WR | Antonio Brown | $8,800 | 38.90 | 7.0% |
TE | Jordan Reed | $6,300 | 23.90 | 16.6% |
K | Jason Myers | $4,700 | 6.00 | 4.0% |
D | New England Patriots | $5,000 | 18.00 | 8.8% |
$59,800 | 226.64 |
The quarterback position this week was a lot of Cam Newton, Brock Osweiler and it also saw single entries from Ben Roethlisberger and Kirk Cousins this week. Running Back you had to have David Johnson if you wanted to win any money and he was on all 10 of the top 10 teams and was highly touted and owned throughout the DFS industry. The RB2 spot was Robinson, West, Williams, and Woodhead.
The wide receiver position had a lot of nice plays this week and the distribution was spead out with the likes of Sanders, Thomas, Ginn, Jones, Baldwin, Watkins, Brown, Maclin, and Aiken. At tight end it was Jordan Reed who was the popular play and the play that was the highest scorer at the position as he was rostered by seven different teams. The other three tight ends were Antonio Gates, Travis Kelce, and Delanie Walker and they were all rostered by a single top ten team.
The kicker spot was between Stephen Gostkowski, Jason Myers, Chris Boswell, Blair Walsh, Santos, and Forbath. Heading into the weekend it looked as if the Seattle Seahawks defense was a slam dunk play and almost a mandatory play but it turned out that only one team in the top ten used them and they finished 7th place. The Patriots and the Chiefs were the two defenses you wanted to have rostered this week in DFS.
