QUARTERBACKS
Peyton Manning $10,200 - Sure Manning is the top priced QB this week but at $10,200 the price still feels a little low as we know he has a much higher ceiling then most of the QBs on the board. Last year against the Chiefs, Manning had a game where he threw for 403 yards and 5 touchdowns and after a modest 3 touchdown game last week it is not out of the question that Manning is ready to have another monster fantasy game.
Andrew Luck $9,200 - What more can you ask for in the Monday Night game then one that has the Eagles on the road against the Colts with the highest Vegas total of 53.5 points. You are going to want to roster a couple of these players in your daily lineups and Andrew Luck would be the top option from the Colts as he has an arsenal of weapons in the passing game and plays with a never give up type of mentality. Next to Manning he has to be the top option at the QB position and has a high ceiling against an Eagles defense that just allowed Chad Henne to throw for 2 touchdowns.
Nick Foles $8,300 - Foles offers the best value at the QB position and if the Eagles get into a back and forth type of game against the Colts, it will be Foles who will be leading the offense and making sure his team moves the football. Foles looked a little rusty in the first half of the Jaguars game, but made adjustments in the second half and showed poise and moved the ball well and was able to find the endzone a couple of times with touchdowns to Ertz and Maclin.
Value Plays: Ryan Tannehill $6,500
RUNNING BACKS
Jamaal Charles $9,100 - Charles burned a lot of people last week as he had an almost perfect matchup on paper against the Titans. This week things appear a little tougher on paper but it doesn't seem possible for Charles to have back to back games where he struggles. Andy Reid is more to blame for the lack of touches in Week 1 and the game plan quickly changed once the Chiefs found themselves in a big hole. Charles ended the game with just 11 touches and this is something we have seen from Andy Reid in the past, he has coached some of the best RB's in the game with Brian Westbrook and LeSean McCoy and they too have had games where Reid stubburnly sticks to the passing game. Playing against a high powered Broncos offense the Chiefs are going to have to try to keep the ball out of their hands as much as possible and that starts with the running game and force feeding their best player, Jamaal Charles.
LeSean McCoy $9,200 - The Jaguars did a nice job of containing McCoy last week on the ground, allowing him to only run for 74 yards on 21 carries. The thing about McCoy is that even on a modest day such as this he still has value in PPR formats as he caught 6 passes for another 41 yards. Against the Colts the Eagles are going to want to get the ball in McCoy's hands even more then last week, and a 30 touch night is not out of the question. If that is true and McCoy sees close to 30 total touches it would be hard to not see him get at least a 5 yard per touch average and 150 total yards is very attainable and the odds of at least 1 touchdown are very good.
Giovani Bernard $7,800 - Bernard is priced very nice at $7,800 and has a great matchup at home against the Falcons. Bernard caught 6 passes last week for 62 yards and added another 48 on the ground. He is a dynamic player and one that has game changing ability and is a perfect RB2 if you happen to go with Charles or McCoy as your RB1.
Value Plays: Mark Ingram $5,900, Terrance West $5,300,
WIDE RECEIVERS
Andre Johnson $7,100 - The Texans may not have the best QB play but that has been the same old story for Andre Johnson for the course of his career. What Johnson gives you is a PPR monster every game and with a game against the Raiders it is hard to see him not getting 10 or so targets. Johnson sometimes lacks touchdowns for you but 7 or 8 receptions and 100 receiving yards a game can also be very nice for your fantasy team.
Pierre Garcon $6,900 - Garcon caught 10 of his 12 targets last week against a tough Texans defense, and now this week he gets to go up against a middle of the road type of defense in the Jacksonville Jaguars. QB Robert Griffin III looks like he is struggling on the field and finding quick open plays to Garcon is the one thing that is bailing him out when he is feeling the pressure.
Michael Floyd $6,600 - Floyd looked explosive against the Chargers on Monday Night highlighted by a 62 yard reception where he got separation and reeled in a deep pass from Carson Palmer. With Larry Fitzgerald playing opposite, Floyd is always going to see a more moderate coverage and with his size and speed it is more than likely that he is going to play that to his advantage. Floyd's price is also at a decent price of $6,600 as it didn't move because FanDuel doesn't adjust the Monday Night games player pricing for the upcoming week.
Julian Edelman $6,400 - Brady has locked in and trusted Edelman since the beginning of last season and he continued that trust to open up the 2014 season. Edelman was targeted 8 times and caught 6 of those for 95 yards last week against the Dolphins. This week it is a weak Vikings secondary that Brady and Edelman will look to take advantage of and at a $6,400 price tag it is easy to get Edelman into your lineup as a high upside PPR play.
Mike Wallace $6,200 - Wallace is not typically your big PPR player you can trust but last week against the Patriots he impressed with a 7/81/1 statline and showed some good chemistry with QB Ryan Tannehill. This week the matchup against the Bills is one that could have a back and forth type of game as it is a divisional battle and with that some of the big play players become even more intriguing. Wallace has potential for some quick catches but also for some big plays downfield and could be a WR that is lesser owned this week as the Dolphins/Bills matchup might not be on a lot of peoples radars.
Value Plays: Eric Decker $6,300, Kendall Wright $6,100, Marques Colston $5,600, Riley Cooper $5,400, Golden Tate $5,000
TIGHT ENDS
Jimmy Graham $8,000 - Graham continues to be a target monster as Brees looked in his direction 10 times last week and Graham ended the game with 8 catches for 82 yards. This week against the Browns and with the Saints starting the season with an 0-1 record, we could see a lot of Brees to Graham early and you have to think that the two will connect in the endzone this week.
Greg Olsen $6,400 - It was no secret that the Panthers were starting the season with a very limited WR core and that TE Greg Olsen was going to be the top targeted player on the roster. Well that was true in Week 1 against Tampa Bay as he was targeted 11 times for a 8/83/1 statline. This week the Panthers get to play against the Lions who let unknown Giants TE Larry Donnell catch 5 passes for 56 yards and a touchdown. Everything is lining up for Olsen to have a very good Week 2 and with a lot of people likely locking in one of the top options at the TE position in Graham, Thomas, Gronkowski - Olsen becomes a nice value off the radar type of pick.
Dwayne Allen $4,800 - Allen looked like a big part of the Colts offense against the Broncos on Sunday Night, and Andrew Luck was not afraid to look in his direction. This week it is another prime time game against the Eagles who don't match up great against opposing teams Tight Ends. He is a cheap option at the TE position at $4,800 and although he is competing with TE teammate Coby Fleener he may have the upper hand as Fleener only caught 3 of his 8 targets last week.
Value Plays: Zach Ertz $5,600, Delanie Walker $5,000
KICKERS
Brandon McManus $5,000 - The one thing the Broncos do extremly well is move the ball down the field and convert when ever they are in the redzone. McManus will have plenty of opportunities to get FGs and Extra Points on Sunday against a Chiefs defense that struggled last week against the Titans.
Mason Crosby $5,000 - My reason for mentioning Crosby here has more to do with Green Bay's efficient offense going up against a very good Jets defensive line. The Packers should be able to move the ball well but when they get down in the redzone the Jets Defensive Line might be able to counter and hold them to a couple of FG attempts.
Value Play: Robbie Gould $4,600
DEFENSE
Seattle Seahawks $5,400 - The Seahawks are an elite defense no matter who they are playing and they showed that last week against a very good Packers offense last week. Aaron Rodgers looked flustered and at times looked as if he almost knew he was going to lose. The Chargers offense didn't look great against the Cardinals and Rivers is going to be seeing lots of pressure come Sunday against the feirce Seahawks defense.
Houston Texans $5,400 - The Texans defense controlled Washington on Sunday and basically was the lone reason why they won that game on Sunday. Now they get to go to Oakland and take on a Raiders offense that has rookie QB starting in his second ever NFL game.
Value Plays: Detroit Lions $4,600
