PRESEASON INDUSTRY NEWS
In case you missed it, DraftStreet was acquired by DraftKings, which means that DraftKings has grown its marketshare and is now clearly the #2 site behind #1 FanDuel. Fans of DraftStreet can join (or Transfer accounts) DraftKings and get additional bonuses, and DraftKings has stated that they will keep many of the DraftStreet style contests that fans of DraftStreet enjoyed.
In addition, DraftStreet continued the acquisitions news by recently acquiring StarStreet. DraftKings continues to grow its market share and customer base due to these two major purchases in the past six months.
NFL WEEK 1 AND SIGNUP BONUSES
Without further ado, the NFL season is rapidly approaching. That means it is game time for all things football, and especially for Daily contests. This week, to get you rolling as quickly as possible, the coverage will focus on the big Week 1 contests on the horizon.
Note that there are lots of codes available for these contests to get a signup bonus if you open an account. For example, FanDuel has numerous codes to get you 100% match up to $200 on your first deposit (FBG2014 I believe is one such code, but there are many out there). A simple search can find you many of these codes, and I suggest that you go and use them - but keep in mind that this is POTENTIAL free money, but not GUARANTEED free money. Allow me to explain. FanDuel gives you 4% credit towards your bonus for every $1 of contests you sign up for, which means you only get $1 of a bonus for every $25 you play. Now, free money is still free money, and if you intend to play $250-300 a week you should be able to achieve the full bonus over the course of the season (since you have to play $5,000 of contests to earn the full $200). Even if you do not achieve the full amount, any free money is still free and worth it, so take advantage of these codes.
