This article will take a weekly look at players who are overvalued in a given week. Negative value is when a player offers more long-term value than he does for this week. The basis for this value will be the difference between the Top 200 forward, a look at the top 200 players with the whole season in mind, and the weekly rankings. Both of these are from the Footballguys.com subscriber content. An emphasis will be on the players with the largest differences between the season outlook and this week only. Also, a preference will be given to differences for the higher ranked players. Some of these differences will be due to injury, matchup of the week, or short-term situation. Now, let's take a look at this week's negative value players.
Quarterback
Top 200 ranking: 6

We would normally like the Seattle quarterback in his first game coming off a bye week. However, the Seahawks travel across the country to face Washington, who is coming off an embarrassing loss to arch-rival New York. While he is still a starter for most fantasy teams, this is not a great week to expect a big outing.

The ginger-haired quarterback is another with a tough matchup on the road coming off a bye week. Cincinnati plays at New England in a game the Patriots are desperate to win after the shellacking it took on Monday night at the hands of the Chiefs. We do not like Dalton's chances of a monster outing.
Running Back
Top 200 ranking: 13
Weekly ranking: 23
Difference: -10
Fantasy owners have found the usage of Shane Vereen curious as the Patriots do not use him consistently each week. The game against the stiff Cincinnati Bengals run defense will be a tough matchup for Vereen. He is still a low-end RB2 for fantasy owners, but we do not like high chances to top 100 total yards or score multiple touchdowns as with some weeks.
Top 200 ranking: 16
Weekly ranking: 26

The New York Jets offense is filled with turmoil and play in San Diego this week. The Chargers defense is strong, especially at home, and will be able to bottle up the bruising back. We like Ivory's chances for a strong season, but do not like his outlook against the Chargers.
Top 200 ranking: 15
Weekly ranking: 22
Difference: -7
Fred Jackson has not enjoyed a great season in 2014. The game at Detroit this week will test the Bills running game as the Lions have a strong defensive line. The change at quarterback will not help Jackson gain regular touches. Kyle Orton is an upgrade at quarterback, but we do not think it will matter against the Lions in Detroit.
Wide Receiver
Top 200 ranking: 14
Weekly ranking: 29
Difference: -15
Percy Harvin should be fully healthy as Seattle travels to Washington. We do not like Harvin's chances for a big game this week. This looks like a low scoring game. Harvin is a star and the Seahawks use him well. We just are unsure he will get enough touches to surpass his fantasy owners' expectations for this game.

Crabtree is still nursing a foot injury as the 49ers host the Chiefs. Both teams are coming off big wins and look to continue the momentum. The injury scares us as it looks to limit the star receiver's targets down the field … that is, if he even is able to play in the contest. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick looks for Crabtree often, especially in crucial situations, and may struggle if his receiver misses the game.

Marshall has been limping around on an injured ankle the past couple of weeks. He has not been able to run at full speed or get open with any regularity. The game at Carolina will be a tough one for the Bears. Both teams are coming off poor performances and look to right the ship. The Panthers defense could make things hard on the Bears passing game with pressure on Jay Cutler.
Tight End
Top 200 ranking: 13
Weekly ranking: 21
Difference: -8
San Francisco hosts Kansas City as both teams eye making a playoff run. Vernon Davis has a bum ankle and has missed lots of practice time of late. The Chiefs defense is not especially strong overall, but is good at stopping the opposing tight ends. This is the defense that held Gronkowski in check for most of the Monday night game. Add Davis' injury to the mix and he is a tough player to start.
Top 200 ranking: 4
Weekly ranking: 8

Kelce has emerged as a top tight end for fantasy football. He has taken advantage of the poor wide receivers corps and is one of the offense's best play-makers. The game in San Francisco will be a tough matchup for the entire offense as the 49ers have the speed on defense to contain Kelce, and slow Charles down a little.
