Travis Fulgham, WR, PHI - There is a healthy amount of skepticism about Fulgham, presumably because Alshon Jeffery and Desean Jackson should return to the field soon. If their ability to stay healthy is the only obstacle to Fulgham’s playing time that’s not a worry. Adam Caplan, who knows the Eagles well for years, said that Fulgham will remain the starting X receiver when everyone is healthy anyway, and his quality of play merits that. JJ Arcega-Whiteside hasn’t worked out as the long term replacement for Jeffery, but Fulgham looks like he’ll fit the bill, and he could have had an even bigger day if Carson Wentz had seen him open on a couple plays that Fulgham beat his man last week.
Mike Williams, WR, LAC - Hopefully you dealt for Williams last week. If you didn’t, the bye week may open up a bye high window where you can still get him for a discount from his actual value. Keenan Allen’s back spasms are being written off as a minor issue, but we know how that goes, and Williams game appears to be tailor made for new franchise quarterback Justin Herbert. Williams has the potential to level off as a fantasy WR1 in the mold of Kenny Golladay in this situation.
Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB, MIA - If you need a starting fantasy quarterback in your dynasty league after Dak Prescott, Fitzpatrick should be your target. We’re waiting on whether he’ll get to have Le’Veon Bell in his offense, but he has enough weapons to maintain his QB1 status from last year that carried over to this year. The team’s pursuit of Bell shows that they are likely to stick with Fitzpatrick and try to make a run at the playoffs this year. Only New England in Week 15 looks imposing on the remaining schedule.

Lamar Jackson, QB, BAL - Just do a price check and see what you learn. Jackson’s Ravens have won going away in four of five games this year and the offense has been put in the garage for the fourth quarter. An upcoming stretch of games that should be much more competitive after the Week 7 bye (PIT-IND-NE-TEN-PIT-DAL) should keep the offense in full attack mode for longer, and hopefully the bye will help them tweak whatever has been keeping them from running at top efficiency so far this year.
Matthew Stafford, QB, Kenny Golladay, WR, Marvin Jones, WR, T.J. Hockenson, TE, DET - If you can’t get Fitzpatrick and you’re replacing Prescott, then Stafford should do, although he’ll be more expensive in dynasty leagues. Kenny Golladay is healthy again, and an upcoming schedule of JAX-ATL-IND-MIN-WAS-CAR-HOU looks like a launching pad for this passing game. Golladay is ready to put up big numbers against this competition, Jones is likely free in your dynasty leagues, and Hockenson might be cheaper than you think if you’re hurting at tight end in your redraft league.
Raheem Mostert, RB, SF - Mostert should become the centerpiece of an offense that is struggling to find a quarterback and doesn’t have any true downfield threats in the passing game. He has been nothing but spectacular when he has been on the field, and only losing a blowout to the Dolphins last week kept him from posting another strong RB1 game. He plays on national television this week, which could close the window for any kind of buy low moment as he came back from a knee injury last week.

Amari Cooper, WR, DAL - Cooper’s snap count has gone down in each of the last three games. This is disturbing because Cooper has been the kind of player prone to wearing down with nagging injuries in previous seasons, like last year, when Michael Gallup was his equal in fantasy leagues in the second half of the season. Add in the change to Andy Dalton and the uncertainty that brings in wide receiver-quarterback chemistry and weekly passing game ceiling, and it’s time to see if you can get WR1 value out of Cooper in redraft leagues.
Michael Thomas, WR, NO - Thomas is healthy, but he is wearing thin on the Saints organization. It’s possible that he doesn’t approach his 2019 level of production this year, and once Drew Brees is gone, who knows what his numbers will look like. Brees has developed good chemistry with Emmanuel Sanders and Thomas’s name value is likely higher than his real value in both dynasty and redraft leagues.

Chase Claypool, WR, PIT - This advice is only for redraft leagues! Claypool’s four score game was something to behold, but venerable Steelers beat writer Ed Bouchette wrote that “the Steelers may be a fantasy player’s worst nightmare” because different players could take turns having big weeks like Claypool’s. Claypool shouldn’t be sold at a discount, but if someone is willing to give up a mainstay for him, take the deal.
Todd Gurley, RB, ATL - If no one took your Todd Gurley offers last week, then they should be all eyes if you dangle him out there this week. The Falcons are going nowhere fast and while Gurley has been excellent at finishing drives and looked as he has since 2018 last week, that means it is time to cash out your chips, especially in dynasty.
