fantasy football only site on the planet."
Matthew Berry, NBC Sports EDGE
Looking to dominate your office pool this season? Fifteen Footballguys.com staff members are here to help you out. Each week they will pick the winners of every NFL game, and rank their selections based on how confident they are that the team will win. The most-confident pick gets 16 points, and the least-confident gets just 1. We'll even total up everyone's picks so you can get an overall consensus on who our staff think will be the most likely winners. Each week we'll announce the weekly winners, and track the overall record for the entire season. A couple of things to note before we get to the picks:
- Picks for this pool are straight up (no point spread considered).
- Picks are due on Wednesday nights, and will not reflect any late-breaking news. If your league allows for last minute changes, please make adjustments to your office pool accordingly.
- Our staffers also play in weekly picks Against The Spread, and Survivor Style 'Pick one Winner each week' formats as well. Check out the other weekly articles for more help with those type of games.
RESULTS FROM LAST WEEK
Fewer games means lower possible points but that didn't stop Sean Settle from posting an impressive 95 points to give him his first weekly victory. Settle only missed two games - Jacksonville and Philadelphia and he only lost 10 points between the two of them. Very impressive performance.

Jacksonville and Philadelphia took down almost everyone on the board this week, with Jeff Pasquino being the only guy to risk a single confidence point on Houston. Baltimore and Miami also hurt the board a bit, but both of those games were very low in total confidence points, leading to minimal impact.
OVERALL RANKINGS
Larkin remains at the top of the overall leaderboard, but his lead has shrunk to just six total points. Tuccitto had a rough week and he dropped to third behind another solid, consistent performance from Brimacombe.

HEAVY FAVORITES
A lot of big lines from Vegas this week lead to a lot of heavy favorites. The Texans, Bengals, Bears, Steelers, Chiefs, Rams and Patriots are all unanimous picks by the staff. If you're in a confidence pool, all of these teams should be near the top of your board. Philadelphia, Washington, Detroit, and Indianapolis were also heavy favorites with just a couple of points being allocated to their opponents. With so much consensus with the picks, it's going to be difficult for anyone to move this week in the overall contest.
DUAL SUPPORT
After their big come from behind win last week, Carolina is a slight favorite over Baltimore but the Ravens have played very tough on the road and that has several people picking them to win. The Vikings are a home favorite as the Saints come to town, but New Orleans is running hot and several of the staff pick them to come in and upset Minnesota. The Least confident pick of the week is San Francisco at Arizona with less than three confidence points per staffer riding on the outcome and the 49ers a slight favorite.
ODDS AND ENDS
After seven weeks of football, the top two overall leaders are separated by less than 1 confidence point per week. This shows why it's not important to win every week, but it is critical to have a consistent, strong performance week after week. By the end of the season, don't be surprised if Larkin and Brimacombe are separated by just a couple of games in week 17.
Four teams are on a bye this week, dropping the maximum possible score to just 105 confidence points.
Good luck this weekend!
