Injury Expectations | Thursday Update | Week 17

A review of the late week practice report

KEY Thursday MEDIA UPDATES

***It's tough to know just how many snaps many of the injured veteran players will get this week. Some may see close to their usual workload, others may play until they reach season goals and incentives, others may be active but play very little at all. We'll try to pin down as many of these situations as possible but this week is always a tough read.

***There's not much more clarity today unfortunately. Two players who look closer to playing than I expected are Jordan Reed and Melvin Gordon. Both Washington and San Diego may still choose to remain cautious -- neither player will be at full strength -- but the trend seems positive for both.

***I'm still looking for information on Julio Jones, Sammy Watkins, LeSean McCoy, Jonathan Stewart, and Stefon Diggs. I think all are likely to see their workload limited if they play. I'm leaning toward Jay Ajayi, Spencer Ware, and Thomas Rawls seeing a good number of snaps. Jeremy Hill and Randall Cobb seem more doubtful than questionable.

***More to come in this weekend's expectations...
