Twitter has long been an excellent source of instantaneous news and wide-ranging opinions. We ran a series of interviews two years ago to help users new and old get to know some of our favorite tweeters.
Our series is back for 2014. Today we interview Ryan Forbes of 2MugsFF.com. Get to know him below.

Quick bio (who you are, site(s) you represent, etc.): I’m addicted to fantasy sports. I’ve been playing fantasy football for about 15 years now and more recently have started playing a lot of daily fantasy sports (NFL, MLB, NBA, and PGA). I started writing for a fantasy website in 2010, and soon after, I left that site to start a site that I co-founded with @RumfordJohnny called 2 Mugs Fantasy Football. We both love craft beer and fantasy football, so we write about both of them. We also have a year-round NFL podcast that we record once a week.
What is something unique about you that few would know about? I started wrestling when I was only 4 years old and wrestled all the way through college.
What you do for fun during the football offseason: Where to start? As I mentioned above, I play daily fantasy on pretty much a daily basis. I also play in at least one softball league a year. My wife and I catch up on the DVR, attend Brewers/Bucks games, and enjoy the wealth of fantastic restaurants and festivals around Milwaukee…though all of these activities have slowed to a crawl with the 8 month old around.
Favorite NFL team(s): Kansas City Chiefs
Favorite NFL player(s): Andre Johnson
Give us your “must follows” on Twitter: I could put together a 5,000 page article on this, so I apologize ahead of time to the many great follows that I left out.
- @RumfordJohnny: Full of great NFL knowledge and witty humor. Oh, he also runs the site with me.
- @evansilva: He only tweets about the NFL and is a pleasure to interact with on Twitter.
- @RotoPat: The funniest guy on my timeline.
- @4for4Josh: I’ve been interacting with him about fantasy since I started on Twitter. His insight always weighs heavily on my fantasy decisions.
- @SigmundBloom: Brilliant and constant football analysis.
- @DavisMattek & @DrewDinkmeyer: First of all, it’s just funny to see these two interact. On top of that, they’re both great daily fantasy resources.
- @JinxFootball, @SullyFootball, @therealjohnames: I’m a Chiefs fan, so I love interacting with these fellow Chiefs fans. Plus, they’ll get sad if I don’t include them here because they’re all very sensitive.
What do you like most about Twitter? The opportunity it’s given me to interact with people I still to this day think of as fantasy resources. I also like funny tweets.
Years playing fantasy football: 15
How many leagues, typically? 7, but I’m trying to get this number down as I try to put most of my focus and financial resources into daily fantasy.
I can't believe Cody Latimer isn't going higher in dynasty drafts.

Studs ‘n Duds or Value Based Drafting? I typically do value based drafting and then trade try to trade depth for studs later in the season.
What's the biggest mistake you see fantasy players make? Drafting low ceiling, yet established players in the later rounds instead of taking flyers on high upside guys.
