I started writing about football injuries with a rare post on the message board at Footballguys or a quick comment added to a Footballguys breaking news email. Over the past four seasons, that injury coverage grew into a regular inseason column at Footballguys and a Wordpress blog, both titled Second Opinion. I'm now very excited to make Footballguys the exclusive home of the Second Opinion blog.
In my Footballguys columns, I combine my experience as a doctor, team physician and football writer to help readers understand injuries and how they may affect the future of both the player and team. I'll still be producing those weekly fantasy-centric columns during the NFL season for our Footballguys Insiders. But I'll be covering injuries in depth on this blog year-round, with commentary on specific player injuries, general and educational posts on common injuries around the NFL and more. I also appear on The Audible every Thursday night at 10:30 PM ET to discuss injuries on our live podcast with Cecil Lammey, Sigmund Bloom and Matt Waldman.
