Twitter Interview Series
By David Dodds
June 10th, 2012

Twitter has rapidly risen to become an excellent source of breaking news and a collection of wide-ranging viewpoints. At the same time, however, it can a bit intimidating to the new user. It's sometimes difficult to know who to follow for quality fantasy football-related news. To help erase this difficulty, we have interviewed some of our favorite tweeters.

Name: Matt Williamson

Twitter handle: @WilliamsonNFL

Approximate number of tweets per month: Around 500 including retweets

Number that are following you: 21,000

Number that you are following: 230

Tweeting since: June of 2011

Occupation (when not talking about football): I don't have a "Real Job"-only talk about football

Family life: Wife and Two Kids (Son is 5, Daughter is 3)

Quick Bio (who you are, site(s) you represent, etc.): I have been at ESPN.com for going on eight years now. In that time, I have pretty much done everything you can for the site including hosting chats, weekly columns, game previews, hosting the Football Today podcast and feature articles amongst many other written works. I also act as a personnel expert for our staff of eight bloggers and do radio hits consistently all over the country. Before ESPN, I was a scout for the Cleveland Browns, the Director of Football Operations at the University of Akron and the Assistant Recruiting Coordinator at the University of Pittsburgh.

What you do for fun during the football offseason: Watch/Talk About/Read About Football

Favorite NFL Team(s): Pittsburgh

Favorite NFL player(s): Larry Fitzgerald

Except for yourself, give us three to five MUST FOLLOWS on Twitter: Greg Cosell, Evan Silva, Andy Benoit...these are just a few off the top of my head. Of course there are SO many great ones, including those at FootballGuys.com.

Years playing fantasy football: 15

Favorite style of play (Dynasty, Redraft, Auction, Best Ball, Survivor, etc): Dynasty, although I am rather new to this format (only two seasons of Dynasty under my belt).

Name two players that you expect will be undervalued in most fantasy drafts this year. Explain why you think these sleepers could drastically outperform their ADP: One for each position: Michael Vick, Fred Jackson, AJ Green and Jermichael Finley...not exactly sleepers, but should be ranked amongst the tops at their respective positions

Name two players that will not be on your roster at any draft position. Explain why you think these busts could drastically underperform their ADP: Peyton Manning, Marshawn Lynch, Wes Welker and Aaron Hernandez

How much of fantasy football is skill? How much is luck? I am going to go with a straight 50/50 split here, but I also don't think it is an accident that us very strong players are more or less contenders every year.

What's the biggest mistake you see fantasy players make? The biggest mistake I see is that many do not monitor the league as the season goes along (injuries/scheme changes/etc.) nearly as well as they prepare for the draft. That makes sense of course, as most FF Players have a real job and don't understand the ramifications of an injured left guard, but none the less, it is obviously very important.

NFL Rookie of the Year: Trent Richardson (Boring, I know)

NFL Comeback Player of the Year: Peyton Manning (Even more boring, I know)
