Strengths: Mercilus can be very quick off the edge and his long, athletic frame projects as a potential elite pass rusher. Though only a one-year wonder in college, his pass rush showed some depth and maturity.
Weaknesses: Mercilus can be stiff and struggles to close the deal in the pocket. He's also slow to diagnose running plays coming at him and struggles to set the edge whether he's blocked or not. He'll be a situational player behind Connor Barwin and Brooks Reed early.
