2012 Rookie WRs: Mohamed Sanu, Cincinnati Bengals

August 1st, 2012

Sanu was drafted a couple of rounds before Jones (above) and could be a complementary player to A.J. Green. He is big but far from fleet afoot like others in this draft class. Sanu's upside resembles former Cincinnati great T.J. Houshmandzadeh who made a living out of finding the soft spot in zones while the superstar on the other side of the field received all of the attention. Sanu is a possession receiver and could rack up catches in this role but fantasy owners should not expect much for a year. Sanu played multiple positions at Rutgers which stunted his development as a receiver. Expect a big jump in ability after year two in the offseason program.
