Strengths: Pead is one of the most versatile running backs in this class, and he is capable between the tackles and also as a receiver out of the backfield. He has good initial burst and gets to top speed in a hurry. Pead is patient and knows how to time his burst through the hole when running between the tackles. He attacks the hole and runs with plenty of intent and determination.

Weaknesses: He lacks burst when he changes direction. Pead can get tripped up easily by shoestring tackles. He doesn't relish contact and won't consistently win collisions. Pead is just a straight line back with little wiggle or creativity as a runner.

2012 Outlook: Pead will be the backup behind Steven Jackson, but should provide the veteran with a breather here and there. His current ADP is the early 10th round.

Dynasty Outlook: He could eventually be the Rams lead back, and in a Jeff Fisher offense, that means he could be a consistent top-15 fantasy running back.

NFL Comparison: A less powerful Demarco Murray.
