*** Saturday Update *** QB Jay Cutler (CHI) is out for this weekend's game.

*** Saturday Update *** QB Tim Tebow (NYJ) Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum still believes in Tim Tebow, even though the quarterback has failed to make much of an impact this season. "I look at Tim as a great teammate, a competitor," Tannenbaum said. "He's done a lot of great things for us. You see him on the practice field working hard ... From a production standpoint it hasn't been necessarily where we thought it'd be, but he has converted first downs."

*** Saturday Update *** QB Michael Vick (PHI) is still suffering symptoms almost a week after sustaining a concussion, including headaches, fatigue, heavy eyes, and fogginess. Vick will spend the weekend in a dark, quiet area and must avoid exercising and watching video. "He's not very alert right now in terms of he just doesn't have that energy," head trainer Rick Burkholder said. "He's tired all the time, he's slept a lot, and he's not getting rid of that fatigue. When I talk to him, he's just not the Michael Vick I know when he's healthy." Vick underwent an ImPACT test Friday, Nov. 16, to examine cognitive function. Burkholder said Vick was still "below baseline." He will take the same test Monday, Nov. 19. Once he clears that test, Vick will undergo an exercise test on a stationary bicycle.

*** Saturday Update *** QB Alex Smith (SF) partially participated in Saturday's practice and is questionable to play this weekend.

Spiller on the bench for six red-zone plays at the end of the first half in Week 11 following a 20-yard run that got the team to the Miami Dolphins' 20-yard line with just over one minute remaining. RB Tashard Choice was on the field instead. A third-down pass to WR Stevie Johnson put the Bills at Miami's four-yard line with 15 seconds left and no timeouts remaining. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick threw three incomplete passes and the Bills settled for a 19-yard field goal. Head coach Chan Gailey said of Spiller's absence, "We have certain play situations where if we know we're gonna throw the football anyway, if it's not something he might be vital in, then we'll put Tashard in there. Or if it's Fred (Jackson), we'll put Fred in there, to give (Spiller) a blow and to pass protect and to slip out if we need him to slip out, things like that. We don't do it a lot, but we'll do it some. We'll do it anywhere on the field if that's what we need." Gailey said Spiller is part of the team's red-zone packages.

*** Saturday Update *** RB Felix Jones (DAL) is coming off his best effort of the season in Week 10 with 71 rushing yards and a receiving touchdown. Jones said he is finally healthy after dealing with multiple ailments. "I feel good," Jones said. "Everything feels healthy. It's probably the best I've felt all year, and I just want to continue with it. I'm just excited to be out here playing football."

*** Saturday Update *** RB Cedric Benson (GB) is not running yet, and he is staying cautious for now. Benson is using a "high-tech" treadmill, and on the device, his injured foot doesn't need to absorb his full body weight. He can adjust the percentage. Right now, he is at 65 percent body weight on that treadmill. Benson would not put a specific timetable on his return, but said "absolutely" he wants to play again this season.

*** Saturday Update *** RB Taiwan Jones (OAK) had just two carries in Week 10 with RBs Darren McFadden (ankle) and Mike Goodson (ankle) out of the lineup and he is expected to see limited touches again in Week 11. Offensive coordinator Greg Knapp said he needs to see Jones improve in pass protection. "We told him going into the game that the two things that we have to see improvement on is ball security as well as assignments," Knapp said. "Assignments not so much in the run game but in the pass protection and in the route running. That's still a part of his game that he's still improving on. We got to keep in mind, he's still a young player. I've got to see (that) in practice first, consistently. And I haven't seen it consistently in practice, and that's what we look for, is perfection in practice."

*** Saturday Update *** RB Darren McFadden (OAK) was able to do some running during practice Friday, Nov. 16; however, he has been ruled out for Week 11. "McFadden was out today and ran around on the side with the trainers, which was, obviously, a good sign," head coach Dennis Allen said.

"It doesn't really matter because we got the win, but I thought we could've showed how powerful our offense can be."

*** Saturday Update *** WR Alshon Jeffery (CHI) partially participated in Saturday's practice but is still expected to play this weekend.

*** Saturday Update *** WR Josh Cribbs (CLE) has just eight touches on offense this season and he is not happy about it. "I feel like I'm trapped," Cribbs said. "I feel like a caged athlete." Cribbs is frustrated he hasn't been used more on offense, especially after catching a career-high 41 passes for 518 yards and four touchdowns last season. "Me going from being able to run the wildcat, to playing receiver last season and catching 41 passes and four touchdowns to nothing - I can't believe it," Cribbs said. "By me not playing, I feel like they think I'm not good, that I've lost it. But I haven't. I feel when I'm out there I can contribute, but I'm not able to." Head coach Pat Shurmur believes Cribbs' return numbers are up this year and coverage units are better because he's focusing on special teams. Cribbs already has four kickoff returns of 40-yards or more this season.

*** Saturday Update *** WR Jordy Nelson (GB) said he felt great during practice this week and expects to play in Week 11. "I've been practicing all week, so hopefully I'm not practicing to sit the bench. We'll be ready to go. I stayed here all bye week, got healthy and went out there feeling good. Practicing just like a normal week," Nelson said.

*** Saturday Update *** WR Rueben Randle (NYG) Giants wide receivers coach Kevin Gilbride said he likes how Rueben Randle developed this season and how he has picked up the offense. "I'd say he has a grasp of understanding the offense, understanding techniques and then actually getting on the field and executing it," Gilbride said. "He's just made steps in the right direction. He's not where he needs to be, but he's getting there. Then hopefully down the stretch run, he can really be a factor helping our team."

There's a lot of times where I'm screaming, 'Throw it, throw it.' He can't hear it, but you just want him to let it go because I want him to play the next play. But that's ingrained in him. His sentiments are shared by interim head coach Bruce Arians. "His athleticism puts himself in harm's way a lot. You've got to be able to protect yourself out there and get rid of the football at times and other times just be tough enough to handle it," Arians said. At the end of the day, we could give a damn what anybody on the outside has to say. Mark is our quarterback and he's going to continue to be our quarterback. "I'm 99 percent sure that's exactly what you're going to see happen," a source said. Roethlisberger's rib injury is a greater concern than his injured shoulder. The ailment (a break of the first rib) is considered rare and dangerous. He will not play in Week 11 as doctors are concerned that the rib injury could lead to more internal damage if he played. The timeframe for his return is unclear but it's looking like a multi week absence.

QB Ben Roethlisberger (PIT) is dealing with a sternoclavicular sprain in his shoulder, which is an uncommon and painful injury. It's the same injury that forced former QB Brett Favre to end his streak of 297 straight games played. A sternoclavicular sprain involves ligament damage to the joint connecting the breastbone and collarbone, and normal recovery time is typically three weeks to multiple months. Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said Murray does not need a lot of practice work to make his return from a sprained left foot; however, he will not return to the lineup until he is ready. It remains unlikely that Murray will play in Week 11. "I think when he's ready, he'll be ready to go," Garrett said. "You want to have good, quality practice work for him before he plays in a game, but he's played a lot of football. He's a smart guy. We have a lot of different thresholds for him, but he's a guy that you could say he hasn't practiced as much as everybody else but can still play in the ballgame."

*** Wednesday Update *** RB DeMarco Murray (DAL) did not practice on Wednesday. Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett acknowledged Wednesday, Nov. 14, that Murray's status is still up in the air. His return could be complicated by the fact that the Cowboys will play two games in a span of five days. Garrett said the Cowboys won't hold full practices next week and as a result it could be difficult to assess Murray's progress if the injury prevents him from taking the field in Week 11. "Can you really evaluate him?" Garrett said. "But we will take his situation day by day and when he crosses those thresholds we've been talking about we'll give him a chance to practice and play."

Willis McGahee lost his fourth fumble of the season in Week 10. While it didn't factor into the team's blowout victory, Fox knows it might be crucial in a closer game. "I know Eric Studesville, our running backs coach, will emphasize that," Fox said. "There'll be a couple emphases this week on how to recover a fumble and then how not to fumble."

*** Friday Update *** RB James Starks (GB) Packers running backs coach Alex Van Pelt indicated James Starks likely will start at running back until Cedric Benson (foot) returns. "I think he was productive when he was in there the last couple of games with limited touches, and he has the most experience of the backs we have right now. I think he's earned the right to get in there and get some more touches," Van Pelt said.

*** Wednesday Update *** RB Ben Tate (HOU) partially participated in Wednesday's practice.

RB Ben Tate (HOU) has missed the past two games due to a hamstring injury and might be back in Week 11 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to head coach Gary Kubiak. "We'll know more as we get to Wednesday and Thursday, but remember, Tate has been running with the trainers, so that's a move in the right direction," Kubiak said. "He's very close."

*** Friday Update *** RB Donald Brown (IND) practiced fully on Friday and is expected to play this weekend. Be careful as Brown has been up and down this week in practice. He's probably a flex play in what should be a high-scoring game between the Colts and the Patriots.

*** Wednesday Update *** RB Donald Brown (IND) practiced fully on Wednesday.

*** Friday Update *** RB Maurice Jones-Drew (JAX) is out for this weekend's game. Jones-Drew thinks he can return to the team soon. "No it's definitely not going to be the year but with a foot injury you don't want to mess around with it and come back at 70 or 80 percent. It's just one of those things that's going to take a little bit of time but it's doing much better. Hopefully I will be back in a couple of weeks," Jones-Drew said.

RB Reggie Bush (MIA) issued an apology via Twitter to fans after he was benched following a first-quarter fumble in Week 10. "I have to apologize to Dolphin Nation," Bush said. "My performance these past few weeks has been poor and I'm embarrassed right now! You guys deserve better."

RB Adrian Peterson (MIN) leads the NFL in rushing with 1,128 yards, and he's on pace to gain 1,805 yards this season, which would be a career high. Peterson's current average of 5.8 yards per carry is also a career high, and he's also on pace for a career-high 46 catches this year.

*** Thursday Update *** RB Chris Ivory (NO) believes he should remain in the starting lineup despite the return of Darren Sproles to practice. Ivory was asked Wednesday, Nov. 14, if he thought the last two weeks would make coaches think twice about sending him back to the bench. The Saints nearly doubled their rushing average the past two weeks without Sproles (72.6 yards per game through seven games, 144 yards per game the last two). "Yeah, they would," Ivory said. "But I think as long as I'm doing the right things and get a plus on the plays that I get, I think that just helps me out and allows them to give that much more trust in me."

*** Friday Update *** RB Darren Sproles (NO) practiced fully on Friday but is questionable to play this weekend.

*** Thursday Update *** RB Darren Sproles (NO) practiced fully on Thursday.

*** Wednesday Update *** RB Darren Sproles (NO) partially participated in Wednesday's practice.

RB Ahmad Bradshaw (NYG) is expected to undergo a battery of tests after suffering a neck injury in Week 10 which required X-rays. Fantasy owners need to add Andre Brown via the waiver wire if he's available.

*** Friday Update *** RB David Wilson (NYG) Giants head coach stated that the team planned to use David Wilson more in Week 10, but the game situations didn't dictate it. The team is ready to use the rookie to run more and they like his explosiveness out of the backfield. With the team's offense slumping, Wilson has the ability to deliver big plays. However, there are still worries about his pass-catching and blocking abilities.

RB David Wilson (NYG) played in just two offensive plays during the team's Week 10 game against the Cincinnati Bengals, but head coach Tom Coughlin said the plan to get Wilson more playing time was negated by the game situation. The team raves about his explosive running style, but he'll have to work on a number of things before he can gain the coaching staff's trust. "He's got to be able to do all other things besides just running the ball," offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride said. "It's not just running the ball when you're a running back in the National Football League. It's about catching passes, it's about blocking, it's about being able to protect the quarterback. All those things are taken into consideration when you determine whether a guy gets playing time or not."

*** Wednesday Update *** RB Mike Goodson (OAK) did not practice on Wednesday .

*** Friday Update *** RB Darren McFadden (OAK) is out for this weekend's game.

*** Thursday Update *** RB Darren McFadden (OAK) did not practice on Thursday. Head coach Dennis Allen said McFadden ran around on the field today under guidance of trainers.

*** Wednesday Update *** RB Darren McFadden (OAK) did not practice on Wednesday .

RB Darren McFadden (OAK) talked with the coaches two weeks ago about the blocking scheme the team has used this season. The team has used primarily a zone blocking scheme this season which does not fit McFadden's style since he has averaged 3.3 yards per carry. McFadden averaged 5.3 yards per carry in 2010 when the team used a different blocking scheme. The team could consider trading McFadden this offseason if they do not change their blocking scheme.

*** Friday Update *** RB Marcel Reece (OAK) practiced fully on Friday and is expected to play this weekend.

*** Thursday Update *** RB Marcel Reece (OAK) Raiders head coach Dennis Allen indicated Wednesday, Nov. 14, that if RBs Darren McFadden (ankle) and Mike Goodson (ankle) are out again - and they are expecting to be out, the rotation in the backfield in Week 11 will be similar to last weekend against the Baltimore Ravens. Marcel Reece had 13 carries, while Jeremy Stewart had seven rushes and Taiwan Jones had two carries.

*** Wednesday Update *** RB Marcel Reece (OAK) practiced fully on Wednesday.

RB LeSean McCoy (PHI) Eagles head coach Andy Reid said LeSean McCoy was sick all week and he didn't feel good in Week 10 - one reason why he didn't get more carries in the second half. McCoy had 16 carries in the game.

*** Friday Update *** RB Chris Polk (PHI) is out for this weekend's game.

*** Wednesday Update *** RB Rashard Mendenhall (PIT) practiced fully on Wednesday. Mendenhall is expected to play Week 11 after missing the last four games because of an Achilles tendon injury.

RB Chris Rainey (PIT) will require several weeks for his broken rib to heal, but he still played in Week 10 against the Kansas City Chiefs Monday, Nov. 12. He will continue to wear a protective wrap around his rib cage, but it won't limit him in any way.

*** Saturday Update *** RB Frank Gore (SF) practiced fully on Saturday and is expected to play this weekend.

*** Friday Update *** RB Brandon Jacobs (SF) has yet to play this season. He also clarified that he was not talking about his football career when he tweeted Thursday: "Never work in a place where you hate your boss so much, you should always be happy at work. #YouLiveAndYouLearn." Jacobs noted - on Twitter and to reporters - that he has other business endeavors outside of football. He also noted that his work-related tweet came in response to his brother getting laid off at work.

RB Alfred Morris (WAS) said he has no lingering issues from the shoulder stinger he suffered in Week 9.

Wide Receiver

WR Early Doucet (ARI) will likely be the odd-man out with Michael Floyd expected to become a bigger part of the offense in the second half of the season. Andre Roberts will likely line up opposite Larry Fitzgerald in the team's two-receiver sets, but Floyd is a prototypical outside receiver in three-wide sets. "If Mike played more, he's just learning the 'Z' (position) and I would be forced to go into the slot," Roberts said. "I don't know what that would do to my reps. We have a whole bunch of formations. We'll see."

*** Thursday Update *** WR Julio Jones (ATL) did not practice on Thursday. Jones will be a game-time decision in Week 11, according to head coach Mike Smith.

*** Wednesday Update *** WR Julio Jones (ATL) did not practice on Wednesday .

WR Julio Jones (ATL) Falcons head coach Mike Smith didn't seem too concerned with the fact that Julio Jones (leg) missed some time in the team's Week 10 game. "He missed twenty plus plays in the ball game yesterday, and Julio did a nice job working with the trainers to get back. Anytime you have your 1-A or 1-B receiver out for that many snaps it's going to change the dynamics of your play calling and what you're going to try and do formationally," Smith said.

WR Roddy White (ATL) was not ready to give the New Orleans Saints too much credit for their Week 10 win. "It's not like they came out here and won a game," White said. "I think we kind of gave it to them. We play them in three weeks and we'll be ready."

*** Saturday Update *** WR Steve Johnson (BUF) was frustrated with the offense for not scoring a touchdown in their Week 11 win. The Bills haven't scored an offensive touchdown in two of their past three games and three of their past five games. "I felt like we could've beat them by more points," Johnson said of the 19-14 victory over the Miami Dolphins. "It doesn't really matter because we got the win, but I thought we could've showed how powerful our offense can be."

*** Wednesday Update *** WR Steve Johnson (BUF) second-guessed why a more experienced wide receiver wasn't targeted on a Week 10 play that ended with Ryan Fitzpatrick throwing an interception into the end zone to seal a 37-31 loss. Johnson also came to WR T.J. Graham's defense, saying the rookie receiver shouldn't be faulted for running the wrong route because he had never attempted it in practice. "I don't think it was the wrong play. But just the whole thing leading up to it," Johnson said, noting that he, WR Donald Jones, and TE Scott Chandler were more familiar at running the route. "We had people in positions where maybe they shouldn't have been. So who knows what would've happened if it was Donald, me or Scott there. So it's no blame on T.J. at all, because he's never run that route in practice or in a game."

*** Wednesday Update *** WR Brad Smith (BUF) partially participated in Wednesday's practice but is still expected to play this weekend.

WR Brad Smith (BUF) partially participated in Tuesday's practice.

The receiver's attorney, Royce West, said Bryant already was attending anger management sessions, and he said the Dallas County district attorney's office would dismiss the misdemeanor charge if Bryant stays out of trouble for a year.

*** Wednesday Update *** WR Dez Bryant (DAL) Tony Romo said Tuesday, Nov. 13, that Dez Bryant has improved greatly since his rookie year and is continuing down the right path. "Dez has come full circle from where he was a couple of years ago," Romo said. "The coverages are going to dictate who's going to get the ball. But does he run his route right? Is it precise? Is he quick in it? He's come 180 degrees, almost full circle where he basically gets to a point where he understands the game."

However, Johnson took two shots to the head against the Minnesota Vikings, and he was forced to leave the field briefly after one. He didn't require any concussion tests on the sidelines, though.

*** Wednesday Update *** WR Greg Jennings (GB) is out for this weekend's game.

WR Greg Jennings (GB) is feeling much better and wants to return to the team soon, however, his doctor has different plans. Jennings is pain-free and has a timetable in mind to return, but he's not sharing it with anyone just yet. The plan was for Jennings to run at full speed three weeks after undergoing surgery Nov. 1. "It's like a little kid you let taste a piece of candy," Jennings said. "Now you try to feed him vegetables again, it's not really going to happen. They've experienced the candy, they want candy. I've experienced working out, now it's like, 'Just let me go.'" Good sign here for Jennings, but he's still not close to returning. We think it's a risky proposition to hang onto Jennings hoping he can help you in the fantasy playoffs. He may not be ready until the final few weeks of the season at the earliest.

*** Friday Update *** WR James Jones (GB) doesn't have a single dropped pass this season. He says his penchant for dropping passes during the 2010 season likely cost him a hefty payday on the open market. Other teams told him they didn't want to sign him because of his dropped passes. "They didn't feel like I could catch a ball," Jones said. "They didn't feel like my hands were good enough. . . . When I play those teams, I have a little bone to pick with them." Jones has 40 catches for 462 yards and eight touchdowns this season.

*** Saturday Update *** WR Jordy Nelson (GB) said he felt great during practice this week and expects to play in Week 11. *** Thursday Update *** WR Steve Breaston (KC) was inactive for the team's Week 10 game, and head coach Romeo Crennel said that is because the team wants to take a look at other players. "What happened a little bit is that he hasn't made as many plays," Crennel said. "So this past game he took a backseat so that we could get a younger player up to see what the younger player could do." Rookie WR Devon Wylie took Breaston's place; however, he played six snaps and was not targeted on a pass. Crennel said there are other issues as well regarding Breaston. "He's a veteran player, and some young guys might have a little more quickness and a little bit more speed. And if you as a coach want to take a look at that speed, you have to make a move. So I did."

WR Jarius Wright (MIN) Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier would not say if Jarius Wright would be active for Week 12 even though he caught three passes for 65 yards and one touchdown in Week 10. He's not where he needs to be, but he's getting there. Then hopefully down the stretch run, he can really be a factor helping our team."

WR Danny Amendola (STL) came out of the Week 10 game with no setbacks, catching 11 passes for 102 yards. He also had an 80-yard catch that was called back in overtime against the San Francisco 49ers due to an illegal formation penalty. General Team News

TM Atlanta Falcons (ATL) Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff confirmed Monday, Nov. 12, that the team has cut DL Ray Edwards. Edwards has battled knee problems during his year and a half with the Falcons. He started four of nine games this year but failed to record a sack.

TM Chicago Bears (CHI) After reviewing Jay Cutler's concussion in Week 10, the league determined that the team handled the situation with correct protocol.
