In late May, Footballguys gathered 12 staff members together using a standard point-per-reception (PPR) scoring system. Afterward, we asked them to go over each selection and comment on the player taken and/or the strategy involved with that pick. Below are the first four (of 22) rounds. We will be releasing this draft in 4 parts while explaining our thought processes with each of the picks. Hopefully, their thoughts will aid you in preparing for your own drafts.
Round 15
Pick 15.01 - WR Steve Breaston - ARI
Comments by Waldman: He missed three games last year and then gave way to an examination of youth on the WR depth chart late in the season, but he still gained 718 yards. With my roster makeup I'd rather take a proven guy like Breaston than youngsters Donnie Avery, Torrey Smith, Golden Tate, or Leonard Hankerson.

Pick 15.02 - RB Tashard Choice - DAL
Comments by Bramel: I had considered Choice, along with Roy Helu, at 14.11 before taking Thomas Jones. Choice fits into the same mold that Jones does: has shown flashes of talent, with PPR upside, and plays for an offense that can move the ball. It'll take an injury to get him more than 5-10 touches per week, but he's worth a 15th round pick.

| 12.11 - WR Arrelious Benn - TBB | ||
Pick 15.03 - RB Roy Helu - WAS
Comments by Wood: I have tremendous respect for Matt Waldman, Cecil Lammey and Sigmund Bloom's rookie analysis, and none of them are particularly high on Helu. But in the 15th round of a 12-team draft, the pickings are slim at RB and Helu - by Mike Shanahan's own words - will have every chance to compete for the starting job. If he doesn't pan out, he's way down on my RB depth chart and is easy waiver fodder. But the upside is tremendous at this point.

| 15.03 - RB Roy Helu - WAS | ||
Pick 15.04 - WR Torrey Smith - BAL
Comments by Dodds: My all-in strategy continues on the Baltimore passing offense here. I love Torrey Smith's skillset and am convinced Cam Cameron wants to attack defenses through the air in Baltimore. Derrick Mason is now 36 and I suspect he will be phased out of the offense as the season progresses. Mason managed just 1 catch for 11 yards and no scores during Baltimore's 2 game playoff run. In the 15th round, you are just looking for a contribution. In Torrey Smith, I think I landed the starter opposite of Anquan Boldin by midseason.

Pick 15.05 - Def Pittsburgh Steelers - PIT
Comments by Tremblay: In all my years of playing fantasy football, I think this is the very first time - whether in a mock draft or a real draft - that I have been the first owner to select a team defense. Normally I think that fantasy defenses are sufficiently close together in expectation, and that passable defenses will be easy enough to find on the waiver wire in any given week, that I wait until the final rounds to look for a defense. In this draft, however, here in the fifteenth round we are down to either (a) defenses and kickers who are likely to be fantasy starters, and (b) long-shot skill-position players who are unlikely to sniff a starting lineup. When picking between the Steelers' esteemed defense, on the one hand, and their backup RB, on the other, I will take the package of Troy Polamalu, James Harrison, James Farrior, and Lawrence Timmons over Isaac Redman every time.

Pick 15.06 - RB Isaac Redman - PIT
Comments by Gray: There are two kinds of strategy for selecting reserve running backs. First, you can go after guys that are "in the mix" for a possible starting job. However, those kinds of players that are available in the 15th round are generally mediocre talents that really have no shot at being fantasy producers. The other type of back you can select in the late rounds is one that is clearly a backup to a stud running back. Redman is clearly the backup to stud running back Rashard Mendenhall. Redman is an excellent grab-and-hold player and will be excellent if Mendenhall were to miss any action.

Pick 15.07 - QB Mark Sanchez - NYJ
Comments by Rudnicki: I waited longer than most other teams to grab my backup QB, but I think Sanchez is a great guy to wind up for that role. He was also the last reliable QB starter available, as seen by the fact that another QB didn't get drafted until Colt McCoy 22 picks later. Sanchez hasn't progressed as quickly as most would hope but he is the unquestioned starter on a likely playoff team. I feel good about the receiving weapons he'll have and the offensive line protecting him. He's at a point in his career where QBs tend to show significant improvement so if he can cut down on the mistakes, I think he'll be a high end QB2.

Pick 15.08 - RB Donald Brown - IND
Comments by Bloom: When you already have Joseph Addai, it's hard to pass on Brown and extra injury/drop-off insurance that he offers this late in the draft. The Colts seemed to lose confidence in Brown last year and fourth-round pick Delone Carter could overtake him, but I liked this pick as another chip in the Colts backfield to hold until things sort themselves out in free agency and then early in the season. Donnie Avery was a very attractive option here, but I had been neglecting RB and didn't feel I could pass on this opportunity to hedge my earlier bet on Addai.

Pick 15.09 - RB Danny Woodhead - NEP
Comments by Wimer: When round 15 rolled around, my team's skill positions were well-staffed and the benches were looking solid. However, there was a player still on the board who finished 25th on the PPR RB board during 2010 that made sense for my squad as I had already rostered BenJarvus Green-Ellis. Danny Woodhead therefore joined my club as the fifth RB. He put up 97/547/5 rushing and 34/379/1 receiving last season replacing an injured Kevin Faulk as the Patriots' change-of-pace/third-down back. Depending on whether Faulk decides to retire or if he tries to give it one more go during 2011, Woodhead could be an absolute steal for my team as the 60th running back off the board in this draft. He is definitely worth a roll of the dice at this draft position, in my opinion.

Pick 15.10 - TE Jacob Tamme - IND
Comments by Tefertiller: Few players at this point in the draft have the potential to be a fantasy star. But, Tamme fits the bill. He was awesome after Dallas Clark went down to injury. Given the injury history of Clark, Tamme could be a home run pick as the 178th player off the board. He is worth the gamble to roster all season as a TE2 given the upside in the Colt offense.

Pick 15.11 - TE Ben Watson - CLE
Comments by Pasquino: The final eight rounds of this mock represent three things - drafting for needs (TE2, QB2), drafting for "must haves" (PK, Defense/ST) and a few home run swings. Considering I was watching my list of TE2s dwindle to the end of Round 15, getting Ben Watson was a nice option (and David Dodds got a steal in Heath Miller in Round 16 as his third tight end).

Pick 15.12 - RB Jalen Parmele - BAL
Comments by Lammey: I believe Parmele to be one of the best unknown backups in the league. He looked good as a kick returner last year and the Ravens believe in him as a reserve RB. He's behind Ray Rice, but a versatile player who is instinctive running between the tackles and also a good receiving option out of the backfield. Parmele is one injury away from being the featured back for a run-heavy Ravens offense. I feel he's a great selection at this point and at least good trade bait if the Rice owner gets nervous.

Round 16
Pick 16.01 - TE Lance Kendricks - STL
Comments by Lammey: I like my starting TE in Rob Gronkowski, but I wanted another player with huge upside at the position. Josh McDaniels has taken over as the Rams offensive coordinator and reportedly loves the skill set of Kendricks. McDaniels didn't use his TEs much in Denver but was intrigued by what the Patriots did last year with Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez. Adding Kendricks in the 2011 NFL Draft was key for the Rams as I see them using him a lot in their offense. Kendricks plays like a super sized wide receiver and can attack the deep middle seam of a defense in the blink of an eye. He's a mismatch every time he's on the field and I feel he'll become a trusted target of second-year QB Sam Bradford. Kendricks has the upside to finish as a top 10 fantasy TE as a rookie this year. Even if he doesn't play up to his potential I feel he's a great backup TE in this format.

Pick 16.02 - WR Donnie Avery - STL
Comments by Pasquino: I thought about going TE-TE but I knew Donnie Avery would not last much longer - and he was one of the few WRs left I had earmarked as a possible starter with the chances of big production this season if he is healthy. That was somewhat validated when Sigmund Bloom said that I got him just in time, which meant he would not have made it to my next pick. Sam Bradford could have a big year, and Avery is just as likely as any Ram WR to lead the receiving corps.

Pick 16.03 - WR Blair White - IND
Comments by Tefertiller: I had been planning on taking White just to mitigate the injury risk of Collie. He is my seventh wide receiver, but could start some games if Collie has concussion issues again this season. White will continue to improve and could be a viable option ... even with Collie in the lineup. I have no issue taking a number of Colt pass catchers. That is one of just a select few passing attacks that offer upside for all starters.

Pick 16.04 - WR Golden Tate - SEA
Comments by Wimer: In round 16 I snagged one of my potential "break-out" wide receivers in this draft, second-year man Golden Tate of Seattle. He appeared in 11 games as a rookie, with 39 targets for 21/227/0 receiving, and enters 2011 with a shot at the starting lineup in Seattle, currently listed as third on the depth chart behind Mike Williams and Ben Obomanu. I have Tate in several dynasty leagues and he's now on this redraft squad as well. Unfortunately, though Pete Carroll remains as the head coach, Seattle has a new offensive coordinator in Darrell Bevell, but this late in the draft I am really just rolling the dice hoping to find a young player or two who outperform expectations and are worth keeping on my WR bench for the occasional pinch-hit during the fantasy season.

Pick 16.05 - TE Todd Heap - BAL
Comments by Bloom: It was time to get the last potential starting quality fantasy TE in the 16th. I don't love spending three picks on tight ends, but I brought this on myself by being the last team to take one. Heap was producing at a top 10 clip before he got hurt last year and he seems to be Joe Flacco's favorite target in the red zone. He is working with Flacco this offseason and he gives me a firewall at TE if Keller and Celek start cold.

Pick 16.06 - Def Green Bay Packers - GBP
Comments by Rudnicki: At this point in the draft, I didn't feel like there was much out there at the RB or WR positions that wouldn't be available with my next pick. It seemed like a time ripe for a run on defenses though so I decided to try and land one of the elite options in the Packers. They have a great coordinator in Dom Capers, some exceptional talent at all levels, and an offense that will force opposing teams to take chances. It was between them or the Jets here and I felt like the Packers had a chance to put up more big plays.

Pick 16.08 - WR Leonard Hankerson - WAS
Comments by Tremblay: This is the pick I'd most like to have back. It's not completely out of the question that Hankerson will make an immediate impact: he has less competition for playing time than most rookie WRs do. But there were several veterans on the board with much better chances: guys who have already demonstrated potential at the NFL level, and who have already been through the steepest part of the learning curve. I was considering Jacoby Jones or Louis Murphy here, but in the heat of the moment I decided that Hankerson (being more of an unknown) had greater upside potential. Upon further reflection, I think I was wrong. Jones and Murphy are not only more likely to have regular roles in their respective offenses, but they've also shown the ability to make big plays against NFL corners. They need to be more consistent, but they are a step ahead of Hankerson. Give me this pick to do over, and I'll take Jacoby Jones.

Pick 16.09 - TE Heath Miller - PIT
Comments by Dodds: I had considered taking Heath Miller a few rounds ago so I was thrilled he slid to here. The Pittsburgh Steelers were a dysfunctional team for a lot of 2010. Their QB missed the first 4 games. They recovered from this sloppy play to reach the Super Bowl, but a lot of that was on the backs of their excellent defense. Of all the Steelers, I think TE Heath Miller suffered the most with Ben Roethlisberger suspended for four games. He managed just 2 TDs in 2010 and saw his targets, receptions and TDs all nosedive. But at just 29 and no one challenging for his spot, I think he is one of the best bargains to be had in drafts this year. As my TE3, I don't really need much from him at all. But if he returns to the player we saw in 2009, this could be the steal of the draft.

Comments by Wood: A few defenses flew off the board already, and that's fine by me as the Jets are atop my preseason fantasy rankings. I see them as one of the few defenses capable of producing enough impact plays to make a difference in this scoring format.

Comments by Bramel: Williams doesn't have a home for 2011 yet, but proved he was capable of a 4.0+ YPC average and success out of the backfield last year in Miami. If he lands in a good situation, he has flex upside.

Pick 16.12 - WR Dexter McCluster - KCC
Comments by Waldman: McCluster was hurt most of his rookie year. If he stays healthy in 2011, I think he'll be a nice slot player with Jonathan Baldwin on the perimeter opposite Dwayne Bowe. This is a pure upside pick, but I think an intelligent one given McCluster's smarts, athleticism, and great skills after the catch.

Round 17
Pick 17.01 - RB Toby Gerhart - MIN
Comments by Waldman: I seriously considered Randall Cobb with this pick and Bramel once again made the choice after I passed. I simply decided that having Peterson's handcuff was a better choice late.
Gerhart didn't have a bad rookie year, although he didn't stand out. Except as Cecil Lammey's Mr. August in his Big Back Pinup Calendar, which he motorboats before every episode of the Audible (just look at his RB depth chart of LaGarrette Blount, Jamie Harper, Mikel LeShoure, Willis McGahee, and Jason Snelling). He will be a serviceable starter if Adrian Peterson gets hurt.

Pick 17.02 - WR Randall Cobb - GBP
Comments by Bramel: The lack of reps with Aaron Rodgers and the presence of so many other viable receiving options in Green Bay may limit Cobb's 2011 upside, but I think he'll eventually have 100+ target upside. If that rate happens during the second half of the season, Cobb will be a steal at this price.

Pick 17.03 - WR Greg Salas - STL
Comments by Wood: I'm not usually one for betting on rookie receivers, but this is a special case. Salas is coming off the board in the 70s among WRs, and I got him after Leonard Hankerson, Torrey Smith, and Randall Cobb were drafted. To my mind, Salas is more likely to contribute meaningfully than any of these guys, and is the 4th most "NFL ready" rookie WR behind A.J. Green, Julio Jones and Greg Little.

Pick 17.04 - WR Jacoby Jones - HOU
Comments by Dodds: Jones hit his stride in the last 4 weeks of the season managing 287 yards and a score against 32 targets. He has tried to supplant Kevin Walter as the starter opposite of Andre Johnson for years now, but remains in a timeshare currently. This pick is a gamble that the more athletic 27 year-old (Jones) finally beats out the slower 31 year old veteran (Walter).

Pick 17.05 - QB Colt McCoy - CLE
Comments by Tremblay: With Josh Freeman and David Garrard as my first two QBs, I needed one more likely NFL starter, and McCoy was pretty much the last one left. I believe McCoy will be under center for the Browns this season; whether Jason Campbell or Kyle Orton or Matt Hasselbeck or Carson Palmer end up taking the majority of their teams' snaps is much less certain. Also, I think McCoy could end up being a decent fantasy QB regardless of whether he finds much success as an NFL QB. His running ability and the fact that the Browns may be playing from behind quite a bit are both factors on his side.

Pick 17.07 - RB Ben Tate - HOU
Comments by Rudnicki: As the draft starts to wind down, I began looking for high upside players who could blow up and become starters if a few things break their way. Landing the backup to the #1 overall fantasy back last year fit well into that strategy. Tate missed his entire rookie season to injury, but is a very talented back who should be able to come in and find a role in the Texans offense. If Arian Foster gets banged up, Tate likely becomes a starting fantasy RB. I wanted Rashad Jennings to backup Maurice Jones-Drew but just missed out on him in round 14. A little surprised the Foster owner didn't grab Tate earlier than this.

Pick 17.08 - RB Dion Lewis - PHI
Comments by Bloom: Time for the "rookie lottery ticket RB" portion of my draft. Twenty-two roster spots combined with the plan of using the waiver wire as a backup QB frees up some slots to take some chances and do silly things like carry three tight ends and three rookie running backs. At this point, I am looking almost strictly at ceiling, and Lewis's is very high if LeSean McCoy gets hurt. He is similar to McCoy down to the school he went to (Pitt), although not as sudden in the open field. I expect Jerome Harrison to move on in free agency, making Lewis the clear handcuff to McCoy and primary Eagles RB if McCoy goes down.

Pick 17.09 - Def Chicago Bears - CHI
Comments by Wimer: Round 17 saw my squad's first team defense (all owners were required to draft at least one team D and one kicker) - I landed Chicago's unit as I think that they are likely to be a top-five unit in fantasy terms during 2011 (they are fourth on my Team D board this year). I like having at least one cold-weather defense on my squad for the fantasy playoffs, as the frigid conditions during December (also fantasy playoffs...) help hold down point totals in the real NFL. This adds a little extra production from the Team D position due to bonuses for low points allowed (in this league, Team D gets 10 points for a shutout; seven points for allowing 1-6 points on any given Sunday; four points for allowing 7-10 points; and one point for allowing between 11-14 points). As Chicago has to play Green Bay twice each season, I am also planning to add another solid Team D to substitute when the Bears run into ultra-productive offenses like the Packers. Rod Marinelli is entering his second season in Chicago as the assistant head coach, though this year he adds the role of defensive coordinator after being the defensive line coach last year. Marinelli is a very respected defensive coach despite his rough time at the helm in Detroit, and he should make the Bears play at the top of their considerable talents during 2011.

Pick 17.10 - RB Marion Barber - DAL
Comments by Tefertiller: Who would have dreamed just a short couple of years ago that Barber would fall this far? He was the 202nd player taken in the draft. The powerful Barber will likely not be back in Dallas. This is a good thing for his fantasy chances. There are several potential great landing spots. At this point in the draft, no player had the upside of Barber and running back is my weakest position.

Pick 17.11 - RB Jacquizz Rodgers - ATL
Comments by Pasquino: Even though I had six running backs already, I felt that Jacquizz Rodgers was too good to pass up. He is a solid PPR pick as Michael Turner is usually on the sidelines on passing downs, and that will be Rodgers' role at a minimum this season. Rodgers is also the handcuff to a Top 10 RB, so if Turner gets banged up then Rodgers becomes an immediate RB3/flex option.

Pick 17.12 - WR Brandon LaFell - CAR
Comments by Lammey: I just got the Panthers number one WR in the 17th round!! Sure, the QB situation in Carolina is rough but LaFell should be the most heavily targeted WR out of the group. I expect Steve Smith to move on which leaves LaFell as the primary weapon when the Panthers take to the air. LaFell is a big, smooth athlete who can gain separation downfield. His hands need to improve but I could easily see him winning the trust of rookie QB Cam Newton early in the season. LaFell is also a factor in the red zone because of his size and leaping ability. I don't expect a huge season out of LaFell, but to get a number one WR for a team at this point is brilliant.

Round 18
Pick 18.01 - RB Willis McGahee - BAL
Comments by Lammey: McGahee is likely to be cut from the Ravens roster and could find a team willing to give him the shot at a starting job. He's proven that he's got plenty left in the tank during his time in Baltimore. He could be a featured back for another team (like Denver) looking for an upgrade to their ground game. McGahee is also a decent receiver out of the backfield and has a good nose for the endzone. If he stays in Baltimore then I still have the backup behind Ray Rice and can use him as trade bait.

Pick 18.02 - QB Jason Campbell - OAK
Comments by Pasquino: Getting Jason Campbell in Round 18(!) was remarkable, and that is another strong point to make in getting a stud quarterback in the first 5-6 rounds of your drafts this year. Taking Peyton Manning early gave me plenty of rounds to look at RB, WR and TE and not sweat QB2. Even by waiting so long, getting Campbell this late is great value as he has plenty of targets in the passing game with upside (Jacoby Ford, Louis Murphy, and hopefully TE Zach Miller returns). He may not be very consistent, but he will be the starter for the Raiders all year and there is no real threat to his job. Even if he implodes, Manning's bye is Week 11, so I do not even have to worry about another starter for the first 10 weeks of the regular season. I would have taken Kevin Kolb a few rounds earlier, but Matt Waldman grabbed him in Round 14 as QB21 - another solid value.

Pick 18.03 - QB Kyle Orton - DEN
Comments by Tefertiller: The picking of Kyle Orton as a QB3 was just to cover all of the bases. If he is traded away, the Tebow/Orton combination gives me two starters. If a deal cannot be struck, I am guaranteed to have the Bronco starting passer. Both are good options. Orton finished as QB9 last season and could be a fantasy QB1 once again.

Pick 18.04 - WR Brian Robiskie - CLE
Comments by Wimer: Brian Robiskie is another player I rolled the dice on at wide receiver - he is a third-year player who has improved in each of his first two seasons in the league (50 targets for 29/310/3 last year), and he is the son of long time NFL coach Terry Robiskie. Even though Cleveland rolled over their coaching staff during the offseason, I think Robiskie (who is very coachable and polished as a route runner) has a chance to catch a lot of balls as an inside receiver in Pat Shurmur's passing schemes. Robiskie is another guy I have rostered in several dynasty leagues and I've been following his development over the past couple of years - that's why I added him late in this draft.

Pick 18.05 - RB Alex Green - GBP
Comments by Bloom: Another upside flier rookie RB, this time one with a great third down/goal line back skill set that could give Green value even if the backs in front of him stay healthy. James Starks was not as impressive as the postseason buzz would lead you to believe and Ryan Grant might be on the decline, so it's not impossible that Green ends up getting the most work of any Packer RB by the end of the season.

Pick 18.06 - RB Justin Forsett - SEA
Comments by Rudnicki: Forsett has been an effective back at times for Seattle and would likely be a solid starter if Marshawn Lynch went down with an injury. The Seahawks running game was not very productive last year, but Forsett is still young and also an excellent receiver out of the backfield. As a depth RB, I like that you can probably plug him in on any given week if you get desperate given that he'll usually get about 5 to 10 touches per game.

Pick 18.07 - Def San Diego Chargers - SDC
Comments by Gray: I'm not a big believer in going after defenses early, but I also don't like to wait until only scraps are remaining. The Chargers have historically been a high-scoring fantasy unit, finishing 2nd, 13th, 22nd, 5th, 1st, and 5th in sacks over the last six seasons. If they falter this season, I'll simply grab one of the surprise defensive units off the free agent heap.

Pick 18.08 - WR Louis Murphy - OAK
Comments by Tremblay: Murphy lasted longer than he should have. I would have been happy if I'd gotten him two rounds ago. While it's an exercise in optimism to expect the Raiders to produce a consistent fantasy WR, and even if they do Jacoby Ford is at least as good a candidate as Louis Murphy, I can't complain about getting a starting NFL WR who's shown the ability, in short spurts, to take over a game. The Raiders will need consistent play from the QB position for Murphy to make a fantasy impact. Stranger things have happened. (Though not many.)

Pick 18.09 - WR Titus Young - DET
Comments by Dodds: Go Young or go home...or something like that. Nate Burleson looked pretty awful last year to me. Despite Calvin Johnson facing double teams on every play, Nate managed just 11.4 yards per reception in 2010. I think it's just a matter of time before the athletic rookie (Young) surpasses him on the depth chart. And in this high-flying offense, that spot could reap huge rewards.

Comments by Waldman: He was a double-digit scorer for five of the nine weeks he was healthy in 2010 and I don't see anyone on the Bills roster replacing him in the slot. Round 19
Pick 19.01 - RB Bilal Powell - NYJ
Comments by Waldman: I'll be shocked if a healthy Powell doesn't beat out Joe McKnight by mid-August. And I won't be surprised if he's cutting into Ladainian Tomlinson's and Shonn Greene's opportunities by November. Powell is a tough downhill runner with good speed and a finisher's mentality. We haven't seen these qualities consistently from Greene since he left Iowa. Powell paired with the Jets strong offensive line makes him a nice gamble this late.

Pick 19.03 - WR Denarius Moore - OAK
Comments by Wood: I apparently have a thing for Raiders receivers. Moore could start in Oakland - believe it or not - but admittedly the odds of his producing in his rookie season are slim. Pick 19.04 - Def New England Patriots - NEP
Comments by Dodds: With mostly bums left on offense, it's time to pull the trigger and get a quality defense. Pick 19.05 - RB Anthony Dixon - SFO
Comments by Tremblay: Kendall Hunter went in the twelfth round. I think I got a comparative steal taking Anthony Dixon in the nineteenth. Dixon had a good showing in the 2010 preseason only to disappoint when he got a chance to show his stuff at the end of the regular season. Sometimes it takes a year for a runner to adjust to the NFL game; and for that reason, I think there's a decent chance that Dixon will end up holding off the rookie Hunter for the backup RB job in San Francisco. If they were the same price, I'd prefer Hunter to Dixon; but I think their value is a lot closer than being seven rounds apart.

Pick 19.06 - RB Stevan Ridley - NEP
Comments by Gray: Time to take another shot in the dark at running back. I considered Tim Hightower here, but he has disappointed even with less competition than what is in Arizona now. Ridley is pretty far down the pecking order in New England, but BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Danny Woodhead were pretty much afterthoughts one year ago too. With such a large roster, you have to roster backs like Ridley and simply hope for the best.

Pick 19.07 - RB Tim Hightower - ARI
Comments by Rudnicki: Yet another young RB pick who provides quality depth with a chance to pay off reasonably well. I already grabbed Chris Wells earlier so this just gives me two of the three Cardinals RBs. Most fantasy owners probably expect Ryan Williams to win the job outright, but he wouldn't be the first rookie RB to disappoint if he doesn't. Hightower is a good all-around back who already has a 60+ reception and double digit TD season under his belt.

Pick 19.08 - RB Evan Royster - WAS
Comments by Bloom: I wanted Bilal Powell here to complete my rookie RB bench trio, but Royster will do. I'm not a big Roy Helu or Ryan Torain believer, and if Royster can regain his freshman year form, he will be better than either of them at their best. The nice thing about taking Royster is that you'll know early whether you hit on a sleeper, or have some waiver wire fodder to pick up one of the flavors of the week in September. I was never really thinking about any other position in the 17th/18th/19th - taking upside bench RBs was always the plan.

Pick 19.09 - TE John Carlson - SEA
Comments by Wimer: John Carlson had a miserable 2010 season, but he was one of the hottest young tight ends in the league prior to his problems last year. He provides quality injury insurance for the lead two tight ends on my team, and may make a spot start here and there. I like his upside if he can stay healthy during 2011 (he had a nagging hip problem last December, and was concussed during the playoffs) and feel he is a quality player to pick up in the 19th round. As I noted above, Seattle's coaching situation is unsettled on offense entering 2011, which is part of the reason he fell so far down the boards this year (he was the final TE selected in the draft, 27th out of 27).

Pick 19.10 - PK Sebastian Janikowski - OAK
Comments by Tefertiller: In deep-roster leagues, I like to get a top kicker earlier than most. There seem to be few predictable options from year to year. Janikowski will benefit from the strong running game, weak division, and another year of improvement from Campbell running Hue Jackson's offense. He was the top fantasy kicker last season and can easily repeat.

Comments by Pasquino: As the draft drew to a close, I had four picks left to take one defense and one kicker and two flyers. Pick 19.12 - WR Vincent Brown - SDC
Comments by Lammey: Brown is one of my favorite rookie WRs this year. Loved him on tape, and he confirmed his fantastic skill set for me when I watched him up close from the sidelines at practice during the Senior Bowl earlier this year in Mobile, AL. Brown can get open against press coverage because he is lightning quick. He is also a precise route runner who is very adept at setting up DBs during a route. Not only can Brown get open against nearly any DB, he also has the 2nd best set of hands in this draft class behind A.J. Green. Brown simply has hands like glue. He catches everything thrown his way - high passes, low passes, passes behind him...it doesn't matter. He has great 'my ball' mentality and is a good run after the catch receiver. It will be one on one coverage for Brown all day in San Diego as defenses will be primarily concerned with Antonio Gates and Vincent Jackson. Give me a guy who can get open all day, catches everything, and has Philip Rivers throwing him the ball.

Round 20
Pick 20.01 - RB Jamie Harper - TEN
Comments by Lammey: Harper is a good sized power back who loves to run over defenders and punish would be tacklers. The Titans had LeGarrette Blount on their team last year but messed up and cut him trying to sneak him through to the practice squad. That mistake won't be made with Harper. He could be a great complement behind Chris Johnson, and the team may even feature him on short-yardage and goalline situations. If Johnson were to go down with injury then Harper would have an even bigger role in a RBBC with Javon Ringer.

Pick 20.02 - WR Damian Williams - TEN
Comments by Pasquino: The 20th pick for this squad was another flyer at wide receiver, this time Damian Williams in Tennessee. Williams could start for the Titans this year and if Kenny Britt flakes one more time he could be the top target in Tennessee. Great upside so late in a very deep draft.

Pick 20.03 - Def Dallas Cowboys - DAL
Comments by Tefertiller: The Cowboys went from Wade Phillips to Rob Ryan running the defense. The aggressive Ryan will have the speedy Dallas defenders coming off the edge with regularity. Ryan will bring pressure often and will take the risks to get turnovers and sacks. The Cowboys finished seventh last year and can move up a few spots in 2012.

Pick 20.04 - Def Baltimore Ravens - BAL
Comments by Wimer: To cover the weeks that Green Bay plays Chicago (and for when the Ravens get to pick on Cincinnati and Cleveland), I took a second defense in this draft. I have the Ravens as seventh among all NFL defenses at this time, and I got them as the tenth team defense selected in the draft - I consider their soft division a plus, and they are still one of the best teams as far as generating turnovers/scoring plays from season to season (tied for eighth in interceptions generated last year, tied for 12th in the league with 15 forced fumbles; and tied for second with three interceptions returned for TDs).

Pick 20.05 - WR Adrian Arrington - NOS
Comments by Bloom: Room for one more upside bench player before my defense and kicker picks, and Arrington certainly has upside to spare. He riffed well with Drew Brees to the tune of seven catches for 79 yards in the season finale, and the Saints clearly like him or they wouldn't have burned a roster spot on him for so long. If Lance Moore leaves in free agency or Marques Colston's knee finally gives out after yet another surgery, Arrington could be one of the sleeper WRs of the year.

Pick 20.06 - WR Josh Morgan - SFO
Comments by Rudnicki: In filling out the bottom of my roster, Morgan was a pretty attractive selection in the 20th round. He appears to have a starting job locked up in the 49ers offense and has shown steady improvement over his three years in the league. If Alex Smith sticks in San Francisco and Jim Harbaugh gets more production out of the offense, Morgan could potentially wind up as a decent WR4 this year.

Comments by Gray: The Chiefs offense is adding tons of weapons and should be one of the more explosive units in the league this year. Of course all of those weapons will make it more difficult for Baldwin to excel, but if he does get a chance, this offense will allow him to be productive.

Pick 20.08 - PK Alex Henery - PHI
Comments by Tremblay: The Eagles PK generally puts up good fantasy points. The offense can move the ball, and Andy Reid gets conservative in the red zone. David Akers has had fantasy success during his time in Philadelphia not so much due to his talent (although Akers is talented), but due to his situation. Henry inherits that situation now. I think he's terribly undervalued right now because he's a rookie with no track record. But when it comes to fantasy kickers, it's all about opportunities. I think the team's track record is more important than the individual placekicker's. I expect to draft Henry in the majority of my drafts this season.

Round 21
Pick 21.01 - Def New Orleans Saints - NOS
Comments by Waldman: I thought about waiting for Detroit because this is a sack-heavy league and I like the prospects of the Lions' defensive front going nuts this year. However, the Saints are a better unit from top to bottom at this stage of the game. I also like the prospect of Mark Ingram's contributions to bleed the clock and keep opposing offenses off the field and the defense fresh.

Pick 21.02 - WR Mohamed Massaquoi - CLE
Comments by Bramel: Massaquoi is inconsistent, but he has always looked more like a complementary WR2 than the primary pass catching option. He could settle into that role (or the slot) in the developing WCO in Cleveland. Having two Browns' WR on my roster is far from ideal, but Massaquoi will get more targets than many of those drafted before him.

Pick 21.05 - WR Eddie Royal - DEN
Comments by Tremblay: We're in the final rounds, so I'm just looking for upside potential. Eddie Royal burst onto the scene as a rookie, showing quickness and hands that could make him a valued target in PPR leagues. There's plenty of competition in Denver for looks, and the passing offense as a whole may take a step back this season, but we're in the 21st round. There are no sure things: just possibilities. Royal has the athletic talent to make an impact in any given game, and he also gives me some insurance against a Brandon Lloyd injury.

Pick 21.06 - PK Neil Rackers - HOU
Comments by Gray: I generally wait a while to get a kicker, but I don't like waiting until the final round. Rackers is about the perfect kicker this year - he's on a great offense and has a late bye week. The need for a good offense is obvious, but the bye-week need may not be. By the time Rackers is off, I'll know which of my reserve backs and receivers can be let go for a week to provide the roster space for a one-week kicker.

Pick 21.07 - QB Carson Palmer - CIN
Comments by Rudnicki: This was a shot in the dark type of pick. I had already decided to stick with just one defense and one kicker, and I didn't think I needed a 3rd TE. I felt good about the depth I built at RB and WR so I decided to take a shot on a 3rd QB. I chose Palmer over a player like Cam Newton with the hopes that he gets traded to a team like Arizona. I'd like to see what he can do in some new surroundings with a superstar WR like Fitzgerald to throw to. Even if he sticks in Cincinnati and decides not to retire, he could be throwing to a very strong group of weapons as well. Newton was interesting because of his running ability, but I probably wouldn't have the patience to hold onto him very long. At least with Palmer, if he retires or his situation doesn't improve somehow, I can easily dump him and use the roster spot to help my team some other way.

Pick 21.08 - Def Detroit Lions - DET
Comments by Bloom: What's not to love here? A murderer's row defensive line who will make big plays and create the pressure to allow the rest of the defense to play aggressively. A rookie return man (Titus Young) who was probably the best in the draft. An ascendant team with a "let it all hang out" mentality from the head coach on down. I'll be targeting the Lions defense/special teams in all of my drafts this year.

Pick 21.10 - RB Jerome Harrison - PHI
Comments by Tefertiller: Harrison is slated to be a free agent when football resumes. He had a monster 2009 campaign and could rebound if landing in a good situation. He is talented and would be a strong committee member in Miami, Denver, St. Louis, or several other destinations. At this stage in the draft, the pick was a great roll of the dice for a chance at getting a starter at a cheap price.

Pick 21.11 - PK Adam Vinatieri - IND
Comments by Pasquino: I took Adam Vinatieri in Round 21 (since Cecil still needed a kicker and a defense, I knew kicker should come first). He was the third best kicker in this format last year, and he matches up well with Peyton Manning and Delone Carter. His Week 11 bye is also a bonus as I have a kicker now for 10 weeks without worry.

Pick 21.12 - PK Josh Brown - STL
Comments by Lammey: Easy pick here. Josh McDaniels failed as a head coach for the Broncos, but the guy knows how to build a high powered offense. Lots of scoring chances with an offense that can move the ball is great for Brown.

Round 22
Pick 22.01 - Def Tampa Bay Buccaneers - TBB
Comments by Lammey: The Bucs have an up and coming defense. I love the rookie class they added this year in DE Adrian Clayborn, DE Da'Quan Bowers, and ILB Mason Foster. These guys teamed up with Roy Miller, Gerald McCoy, and Brian Price will give the Bucs a formidable defense.

Pick 22.02 - RB Johnny White - BUF
Comments by Pasquino: With my final pick I selected another rookie in Johnny White in Buffalo. I have never been a big fan of C.J. Spiller, so if Fred Jackson slows down or gets hurt then he could get 15 or more touches a week. Sounds like a great upside pick to close the draft.

Pick 22.03 - WR Jerricho Cotchery - NYJ
Comments by Tefertiller: The Jets have their starting two wide receivers as unrestricted free agents. While anything but flashy, the veteran possession receiver could become a viable flex option in PPR leagues with any luck. My other consideration was Fred Davis since I have Cooley.

Pick 22.04 - WR Seyi Ajirotutu - SDC
Comments by Wimer: Seyi Ajirotutu showed flashes of brilliant play last year (4/111/2 vs. Houston during week nine), and is a huge target (6' 4") playing for a top-ten NFL QB in the person of Phillip Rivers. He is another of my potential break-out players - his value could shoot up if the depth chart in San Diego is rearranged during free agency (whenever that happens). I like his upside as the #8 WR on my bench (he's the ninth guy I drafted at the position, but I'm considering Jordy Nelson and Donald Driver as one player in terms of my team's depth chart).

Pick 22.05 - PK Rob Bironas - TEN

Pick 22.06 - PK Stephen Gostkowski - NEP
Comments by Rudnicki: Last round is usually the earliest you need to worry about grabbing a kicker. It has become a very deep position with plenty of productive, reliable starters to go around. I'm happy to land a quality kicker like Gostkowski who plays on one of the best teams and offenses in the league, but there were other solid options available here as well.

Pick 22.07 - RB Leon Washington - SEA
Comments by Gray: This is probably a wasted pick, but it's hard to really expect anything more from a 22nd-round running back. Washington flashed a lot of talent as a Jet before his injury. The Seahawks still traded for him, but his 2010 season was largely spent recovering. He could carve out a niche in 2011, but in all honesty, he'll likely be tossed back into the free agency pool in exchange for someone that surprises.

Pick 22.08 - WR Julian Edelman - NEP
Comments by Tremblay: The slot receiver in the Patriots offense is huge in PPR leagues. Wes Welker occupies that position for now, but he's 30 years old and has a recent injury history. If Welker misses time, Edelman has similar characteristics and could fit into a similar role.

Pick 22.09 - WR David Gettis - CAR
Comments by Dodds: If Steve Smith does indeed get moved, somebody has to play WR for the Panthers. And if Steve Smith stays and Gettis isn't involved, this becomes an easy guy to drop for the waiver play of the week. Gettis showed me enough in two games against quality defenses (8 receptions for 125 yards and 2 TDs against San Francisco; 2 catches for 92 yards and a TD against Baltimore) to take a stab in the last round.

Pick 22.11 - PK David Akers - PHI
Comments by Bramel: Akers will land on his feet somewhere. His FG percentage has been over 84% for the past two seasons and he's got the leg to attempt more than his share of 45+ yarders. With a little luck, he'll sign with an offense capable of scoring points in bunches.

Pick 22.12 - WR Marcus Easley - BUF
Comments by Waldman: Big, fast, and in a situation where if the Bills get impatient with Lee Evans disappearing, Easley might have an opportunity. I know the Bills tend to be blamed for Evans lack of production commensurate with his talent and not the other way around, but it's getting time to wonder if we've been wrong about who to blame, isn't it? Steve Johnson has been impressed with Easley this spring. Again it's spring, and this is the 22nd pick of a 22-round draft.
