Quarterback

Upgrade

QB Jay Cutler, DEN - The Broncos were expected to come out of the gate strong after suffering an embarrassing loss to the hated Raiders, at home no less, last week. Cutler entered the game with only one game with 20 FP or more since week three. Maybe the Raiders game was exactly what the Broncos and Jay Cutler needed, because the Broncos offense was very efficient against one of the hottest teams in the league, the NY Jets. Cutler spread the ball around evenly to his receivers and found Eddie Royal and Brandon Stokley in the end zone for scores. Denver plays the Chiefs next week in very favorable match up.

QB Ken Dorsey, CLE - *** POTENTIAL WAIVER WIRE GEM *** - Dorsey inherits the Browns' starting QB job after the injuries to Brady Quinn's finger and Derek Anderson's knee. Dorsey takes over an offense that has struggled this year, but if you're desperate for a QB, you should be able to find a starting NFL quarterback on your fantasy waiver wire in Ken Dorsey. (The last game Dorsey started was in 2005, when he was with the San Francisco 49ers.)

QB Joe Flacco, BAL - Flacco does not look like a rookie when he drops back to pass. He takes hits, keeps his eyes downfield, buys time for his receivers and stands tall even under pressure. That's not the typical description of a first year signal caller, yet here he is. Flacco also has the ability to tuck it and run as well. Flacco has not thrown an interception in six of the past seven Ravens games, all victories. As he continues to improve, the Baltimore passing game is opening up as Mark Clayton and Todd Heap contribute to Derrick Mason's weekly production. The Ravens face some tough competition in December, but Flacco looks to be up to most challenges.

QB Shaun Hill, SF - Hill has 7 TD passes in his last 4 games and he has a favorable finishing schedule of NYJ, @MIA, @STL, vs. WAS. Hill played a gritty game and came away with a victory on the road at Buffalo, which is not an easy place to play. He played mistake-free ball and let the play calling run its course, compared to other games where he has done more to win games. Hill could provide some value for those looking for a QB for the playoff run. His match up against St. Louis is particularly juicy for those who make it to Week 16.

QB J.P. Losman, BUF - *** POTENTIAL WAIVER WIRE GEM *** - Losman replaced Trent Edwards in the second half of the game against San Francisco due to an injured groin suffered by Edwards. Losman was unable to pull out the victory for the struggling Bills, because he could not convert in the red zone. He engineered one 15-play drive that took 8:47 off the clock in the third and fourth quarters only to end on downs when the Bills failed to convert on a fourth down chance due to an incomplete pass by Losman. He and the Bills had only five possessions in the second half and four of them resulted in drives that did not end in points. Losman has experience as a starter for Buffalo, but in his chances he has not risen to the occasion consistently. Perhaps he has learned more about the offense during his time on the sidelines. At least the Bills are hoping so. Losman would start for the Bills next week vs. Miami inside the dome at Toronto (considered a home game). We'll have more information on the status of Edwards in the coming days.

QB Eli Manning, NYG - Manning is still performing well despite missing Plaxico Burress. The Redskins and the weather were both bad matchups for Manning, yet he still racked up over 300 yards passing in Week 13, including 239 before halftime. Without Burress once again, Manning distributed the ball to his other options both short and down the field. Washington attempted to stack the box against the Giants and force Manning to beat them through the air, and Eli was up to the challenge. Manning has topped 240 yards the past two weeks.

QB Donovan McNabb, PHI - Donovan McNabb was up against a wall as far as his future in Philadelphia, and he came out with guns blazing against Arizona. He threw for four touchdowns, two to Brian Westbrook, as he led the Eagles' version of the West Coast Offense to a big win. McNabb started fast, completing 15 of his first 19, working short and medium routes. He did not throw the deep ball, favoring shorter and higher percentage passes, but he found open receivers. McNabb also added 24 yards on the ground as he was unafraid to tuck the ball and run. A McNabb that can beat defenses running or throwing is a dangerous combination. He does have some tough matchups the rest of the way starting with the Giants, but if McNabb continues this style of play then big numbers can be expected.

QB Tony Romo, DAL - What a difference a good QB makes. Tony Romo's play after returning from a broken pinkie finger has been nothing short of superb. In his last two games he has two consecutive 30 point fantasy games, totaling 672 yards and six TDs. Romo's strong performance has elevated the play of Terrell Owens and Jason Witten, both who struggled with Romo out of the lineup. Dallas does not have a favorable remaining schedule (@PIT, NYG, BAL, @PHI), but it may not matter the way Romo is throwing the ball and being protected by his OL. Continue to start Romo if you've got him.

QB Matt Ryan, ATL - After failing to throw for 200 yards in any of his first five games, Ryan has thrown for over 200 yards in every game since. On Sunday against the Chargers, he threw two touchdown passes (his fourth multiple-TD outing in the last six games), and was in complete control of the offense all day. He completed 17 of his 23 pass attempts and avoided turning the ball over. Ryan has matured as a quarterback this season so quickly that, for practical purposes, he really should no longer be considered a rookie. He heads into the final one-fourth of the season with a veteran's poise, and should be considered an above-average fantasy backup QB the rest of the way.

QB Matt Schaub, HOU - *** POTENTIAL WAIVER WIRE GEM *** - Schaub has been sidelined since Week 9 with a knee injury, but could get the start in Week 14 against the Packers. Schaub would be a risky play this week even if he is named the starter since it would be his first game back from injury, he hasn't played well on the road this season, and the weather conditions may be difficult in Green Bay. Looking ahead past this week as well as the Week 15 game against the Titans, however, Schaub will have a good Week 16 matchup against the Raiders. He is worth rostering for that reason.

Downgrade

QB Derek Anderson, CLE - Anderson injured his knee in the final minutes against the Colts and will miss the rest of the season.

QB Trent Edwards, BUF - Edwards missed the entire second half of the game against San Francisco with a groin injury. The injury occurred sometime near the end of the second half, but it wasn't noticeable as to when it happened. Edwards was replaced by J.P. Losman, who would start for the Bills next week vs. Miami inside the dome at Toronto (considered a home game). We'll have more information on the status of Edwards in the coming days.

QB Kyle Orton, CHI - Orton has struggled since spraining his ankle in week nine against the Lions. Since that time, he has failed to throw for 160 yards in any game, and has thrown as many interceptions as touchdown passes. He had a horrible second half against the Vikings, when three ill-advised throws were picked off. The Bears have three straight home games coming up (against the Jaguars, Saints, and Packers), and the conditions at Soldier Field may make passing quite difficult. Orton does not look like a good fantasy option from here on out.

QB Brady Quinn, CLE - Quinn was placed on IR last week after the injury to his pinkie had gotten worse.

QB Sage Rosenfels, HOU - Rosenfels played a generally solid (though unspectacular) game against the Jaguars on Monday night. His time as the Texans' starter may have come to an end, however. Matt Schaub was healthy enough on Monday night to be active as the Texans' number two quarterback, and could regain the number one spot as early as this week's game against the Packers.

Holding steady

QB Matt Cassel, NE - Cassel struggled on a cold, wet afternoon against a tough Steeler defense. He completed less than half of his 39 attempts, tossing two interceptions and falling well short of 200 yards passing. Pittsburgh is a very tough defense, but the good news for Cassel is that the rest of the schedule (at Seattle, at Oakland, Arizona) in Weeks 14-16 are far easier and should provide bigger numbers.

QB Peyton Manning, IND - Manning had a rough game in Cleveland, throwing for only 125 yards, no touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. The Browns' played inspired defense, and the windy conditions made throwing the ball very difficult. Manning will be in much friendlier environments over the next three games, as he faces the Bengals and Lions at home and then the Jaguars in Jacksonville. All of those defenses have been generous to opposing fantasy quarterbacks this season. (Manning does finish up against a tough Titans defense in week 17, however.)

QB Aaron Rodgers, GB - Rodgers had a big game passing for 298 yards and 3 TDs against the Panthers. He was very efficient when in three or four WR sets where he could pick and choose which coverage match up was the most open. The Panthers pass rush was slowed at times thanks to TE Donald Lee staying in as an extra blocker. It gave Rodgers enough time to execute. What concerns us is the hit he took on his non-throwing shoulder near the end of the game. Rodgers was hit hard on a late hit by Julius Peppers that went for an unsportsmanlike penalty, but Rodgers wasn't himself after that hit. In fact he didn't complete a pass the rest of the game and threw an INT to boot. Rodgers is a tough QB, but we wouldn't be surprised to see him on the injury report for next week's game vs. Houston.

Running Back

Upgrade

RB Tashard Choice, DAL - *** POTENTIAL WAIVER WIRE GEM *** - Tashard Choice deserves an upgrade if the injury to Marion Barber causes him to miss time. Barber suffered a dislocated pinkie toe at the end of the first half vs. Seattle. He attempted to return in the third quarter, but the injury forced him to the sidelines and he did not return. Choice, a rookie from Georgia Tech gained 57 yards on 11 carries in place of Barber. If Barber is unable to play, Choice will get the nod as the starting back. Is he worth a pick up? Perhaps (a starting RB is a rare commodity), but keep in mind the Cowboys schedule against the run (@PIT, NYG, BAL, @PHI) is not favorable. Keep an eye on the injury status of Marion Barber.

RB Kevin Faulk, NE - Faulk does not fit the classic mold of a fantasy running back contributor, but PPR fantasy players were certainly aware of his pass catching abilities. Now with New England using both him and Sammy Morris in the backfield on a consistent basis, Faulk's value has risen. His 13 touches were split almost evenly on the ground and via the passing attack, and his 121 total yards are significant in any type of league. New England has several soft matchups the rest of the way, including next week against Seattle.

RB Peyton Hillis, DEN - It looks like Hillis can be an effective RB in the league. He has 44, 74 and 128 yards rushing in his last three games respectively. He also has four TDs in that same time span. Denver hosts the Chiefs next week. If you've got Hillis start him, because the match up is definitely a favorable one.

RB Brandon Jackson, GB - *** POTENTIAL WAIVER WIRE GEM *** - Jackson replaced Ryan Grant in the second quarter due to Grant suffering a bruised hand. Grant did not return and Jackson played the rest of the game. Jackson was impressive rushing for 80 yards on 11 carries. If Grant is forced to miss time next week against Houston, Jackson automatically becomes a great start. Consider adding Jackson to your roster if Grant can't go. We'll have more information on Grant's status in the coming days.

RB Steven Jackson, STL - Jackson was able to find gaping holes against the Dolphin defense. He looked healthy after suffering for a few weeks with the quadriceps injury. In just the first half, Jackson rushed 15 times for 72 yards. He also had a 16 yard reception. The Rams did not give their stud running back many carries in the second half. He only had six carries for 22 yards in the last two quarters. Coach Haslett said Jackson was "gassed and his leg started bothering him". Jackson acted like the injury was not an issue going forward. It was good to see the elite runner back in action and running with authority once again.

RB Larry Johnson, KC - Johnson is now healthy and out of Herm Edwards' doghouse. After 105 total yards on only nine touches in week thirteen, Johnson saw a full workload and delivered. For the Chiefs to win, they need to be able to run the ball and keep the pressure off of Tyler Thigpen. Against the Raiders, Johnson carried the ball 24 times for 92 yards. He also scored. The good news for Larry Johnson owners is that the Denver Broncos are next on the schedule. Thomas Jones had a big game against the Broncos this past week.

RB Thomas Jones, NYJ - Thomas Jones continues to put up solid fantasy numbers - he now has eight consecutive double-digit fantasy games in a row. He earned his fifth 100-yard rushing effort of the season against Denver in a losing battle. Jones remains a must start RB next week at San Francisco, who allowed 136 yards rushing to Marshawn Lynch on just 16 carries last week.

RB LeRon McClain, BAL - McClain had a starting tailback's workload against Cincinnati in Week 13, rushing 25 times for 86 yards. While he lacks breakaway speed, he can certainly pound the middle of the line and rack up 3-5 yards a carry. He's still not terribly productive on a weekly basis and he did struggle near the goal line against the Bengals, but McClain looks to be the top option of Baltimore running backs right now.

RB Willie Parker, PIT - Willie Parker was able to play most of the Week 13 clash with the Patriots, including most of the second half when he was used as the primary ball carrier for the Steelers. Parker ran behind a solid run blocking effort against New England but he did fail to punch the ball into the end zone down hear the goal line. Parker showed good burst down the stretch with a 31-yard run in the final quarter, his biggest effort on the day. Look for him to be the top option for the Steelers once again next week against Dallas.

RB Dominic Rhodes, IND - *** POTENTIAL WAIVER WIRE GEM *** - Rhodes got a lot of playing time in the second half, finishing with 11 carries on the day, just four fewer than Addai's 15. The Colts have a favorable schedule coming up with games against the Bengals, Lions, and Jaguars over the next three weeks. If the Colts get an early lead, they could look to Rhodes to help run the clock out.

RB Steve Slaton, HOU - Slaton showcased his skills on Monday night, upstaging Maurice Jones-Drew, whose running style Slaton takes after. Slaton has the quickness you'd expect from a smaller back, but also has the power and balance to fight through tackles and maintain his forward momentum. Two of his next three matchups are against very poor run defenses, as he travels to Green Bay in week 14 and then to Oakland in Week 16.

RB Brian Westbrook, PHI - Brian Westbrook was banged up and questionable for the Thursday night tilt with the Cardinals, but he suited up and looked like the elite tailback that everyone knows that he is cable of being when at full strength. He set a career high with four scores, two on the ground and two as a receiver, racking up 110 combined yards. He is unlikely to be 100% the rest of the year, but given his effort and his performance he seems to be a must start for fantasy purposes the remainder of the season.

RB LenDale White, TEN - White is able to see extensive action in games that the Titans jump out to an early lead. This was extremely evident on Thanksgiving against the Lions. White did not get a carry until the third series of the game after Chris Johnson had scored twice to put the Titans up 14-3. He had only nine carries in the first half but ran the ball 14 times in the last half to close out the game. The Titans have the Browns and the Texans next up so they should be in the lead early on. Against the Lions, White rushed 23 times for 106 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

RB Cadillac Williams, TB - The Cadillac is back. The Buccaneers are giving him limited touches, but it is good to see him back on the field. Williams looked good scoring around the end. It was his first touchdown since week three of the 2007 season. Warrick Dunn saw most of the touches, but Williams might start to make it a full committee. Cadillac only carried the ball four times for 20 yards, including the touchdown run of eight yards.

RB DeAngelo Williams, CAR - The DeAngelo show continues. This week Williams totaled a team record four rushing TDs against the Packers, who have now given up eight rushing TDs in their last two games. Williams is on a role with nine of his 11 rushing TDs coming in week eight or later. He is officially one of the hottest RB in the league. Play him next week despite the tough match up against Tampa Bay. He's too hot to sit, but we don't expect a big yardage game.

Downgrade

RB Cedric Benson, CIN - Benson contributed a scant 18 total yards on 12 touches against the Ravens in Week 13. Baltimore is a tough matchup for any rusher, but the Bengals are a bad offense most weeks regardless of the opponent. The Colts are next on the schedule but it would be a major gamble to put Benson in any fantasy lineup at this point.

RB Tim Hightower, ARI - Hightower had only 10 touches against the Eagles, including just seven rushing yards on seven carries. The bulk of his production came as a receiver, but the problem with Hightower right now is that Arizona does not have a strong commitment to run the ball and feed him touches. Granted the Cardinals fell behind early, but Hightower is averaging 10.5 carries the past four weeks. With JJ Arrington also stealing touches, Hightower is not a reliable option.

RB Willis McGahee, BAL - Willis McGahee had zero carries in Week 13 against Cincinnati. Coach John Harbaugh has said that he’s still in the mix and will be used in December, but good luck figuring out when it makes sense from a fantasy perspective. Steer clear of McGahee until further notice.

RB Clinton Portis, WAS - Portis was in and out of the game against the Giants after suffering a neck injury, but even when he was in the lineup he was not very effective. Portis was hit often at or behind the line of scrimmage and could not get on track, accumulating just 22 yards on 11 carries to go with one 15-yard reception. Portis is nursing several aches and pains and the matchup only gets worse next Sunday night when Washington travels to Baltimore.

RB Kevin Smith, DET - Smith was hindered by the big deficit of the Lions. He only carried the ball 12 times on the game. The contest was out of hand in the first quarter with a score of 21-3. The rookie had 22 rushing yards, but gained 21 of those on one run. There was not much room for Kevin Smith to run on the other carries. He added one reception for nine yards. A tough matchup against the Viking is next on the schedule.

RB LaDainian Tomlinson, SD - Tomlinson had just 24 yards (the second-lowest rushing total of his career) on 14 carries, with a long run of six yards. He had no rushing room all day. The Chargers' offensive line has played poorly all year, and had their worst game of the season on Sunday against the Falcons. They opened no holes in the running game, and allowed QB Philip Rivers to be sacked three times (not including an intentional grounding call in the end zone that resulted in a safety). Although the Chargers still have a good-looking schedule the rest of the way (Oak, @KC, @TB, Den), Tomlinson won't have any stellar fantasy performances without any blocking in front of him.

Holding steady

RB Marion Barber, DAL - Barber left the game at the end of the second quarter against Seattle with a foot injury. He tried to come back in the third quarter, but left and did not return after one play. His injury has been classified as a dislocated pinkie toe, and Barber is considered day-to-day. If he cannot go next week, expect rookie Tashard Choice to take his place. We'll have more information on the extent of Barber's injury in the coming days when practice begins.

RB Ryan Grant, GB - Grant left the game in the second quarter with a bruised hand. He was replaced by Brandon Jackson and did not see the field the rest of the game. He was shown on the sidelines in good shape and spirits, so it doesn't appear to be a serious injury. We'll have more information on his injury in the coming days. If he misses time, Brandon Jackson is a quality start against Houston.

RB Maurice Jones-Drew, JAX - Jones-Drew gave an underwhelming performance on Monday night, gaining just 71 total yards and losing a fumble. Moreover, the Jaguars' lone rushing TD of the night went to Fred Taylor. We are not downgrading Jones-Drew, however, because his schedule during the fantasy playoffs includes two very juicy matchups: in Week 15 hosting the Packers and in Week 16 hosting the Colts.

Wide Receiver

Upgrade

WR Davone Bess, MIA - *** POTENTIAL WAIVER WIRE GEM *** - In only his second NFL start, Bess was able to get free often against the Ram secondary. Pennington looked to Bess often, especially with Ginn dropping passes. In the first half, Bess was targeted seven times, three of which were down the field. The undrafted rookie caught five passes in the half for 47 yards. In the second half, Bess was targeted only three times, grabbing only a 37-yard pass. The Dolphins did run the ball much more in the second half. Chad Pennington only attempted seven of his 23 passes in the last two quarters as the Dolphins ran the ball often to nurse the lead.

WR Steve Breaston, ARI - Breaston continues to produce despite being the third option for Arizona after Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald. Kurt Warner looked his way 10 times against Philadelphia, a good number for any NFL wide receiver. Breaston has six or more receptions in three of the past four weeks, so despite his spot on the depth chart in Arizona he is certainly a viable fantasy option.

WR Isaac Bruce, SF - Bruce has been the WR of choice for Shaun Hill. He had a 100-yard effort with a TD against Dallas last week and he followed it up with another score against Buffalo. The 49ers relatively favorable remaining schedule (NYJ, @MIA, @STL, WAS) should provide dividends for Bruce, who is likely a WR3, WR4 or flex option for your team. Many times it's those players that are the key to winning it all.

WR Mark Clayton, BAL - *** POTENTIAL WAIVER WIRE GEM *** - Clayton had a monstrous game against Cincinnati, posting 164 yards and a touchdown and also throwing another TD to Derrick Mason. Clayton stretched the field all day, catching beautiful throws from Joe Flacco, including a one-handed 70 yard reception. Clayton's numbers may come back to earth against the Redskins next week, but given Flacco's poised play and teams focusing more on Derrick Mason, Clayton is easily a viable waiver wire pickup.

WR Marques Colston, NO - Colston finally is healthy after missing nearly half of the season with a hand injury. Drew Brees looked to his big receiver for the big play, and Colston delivered. This was his breakout game after catching only one pass last week, although it went for 70 yards and a score. He grabbed half of his 12 pass targets for 106 yards. Colston is back to his 2007 form. The Falcons are next on the schedule for the Saints.

WR Malcom Floyd, SD - Pending the severity of his shoulder injury, Floyd certainly merits an upgrade based on his recent production. He led the Chargers in targets (8), receptions (5), and receiving yards (59). Floyd hardly got any playing time at the beginning of the season, but got his chance in Week 6 when both Chris Chambers and Craig Davis were out. Floyd has played well, and has become one of QB Rivers' favorite targets even now that Chambers is back in the lineup. He is by no means a fantasy starter (in typical leagues), but is worth a roster spot at this point. From Week 6 on, Floyd has been the Chargers' second-leading receiver, just behind Vincent Jackson (but ahead of Antonio Gates, LaDainian Tomlinson, and Chris Chambers).

WR Jason Hill, SF - *** POTENTIAL WAIVER WIRE GEM *** - Hill isn't starting for the 49ers, but he is producing nice numbers from the slot. In Week 13, he caught all five of his targets for 55 yards. While those aren't elite numbers, he is a nice option in PPR leagues.

WR Domenik Hixon, NYG - Domenik Hixon started for the injured Plaxico Burress, a role that he should have the rest of the year given Burress' numerous problems from his self-inflicted gunshot wound. Hixon had nine targets, tied for the team lead with Amani Toomer, resulting in five catches and 71 yards. He faces a challenging Philadelphia secondary next week but should be rostered in virtually all fantasy leagues at this point.

WR Andre Johnson, HOU - Johnson fought off tough coverage by Rashean Mathis on Monday night to haul in 7 catches for 75 yards and (surprisingly) just his fourth TD of the season. He almost added a second score, but the ball was just outside his reach in the end zone. Also, Matt Schaub will likely return to the starting lineup either this week or next. Before Schaub suffered a knee injury in week nine, Andre Johnson had three straight games with 140+ yards in the three previous contests.

WR Lance Moore, NO - Moore has now caught touchdown passes in five consecutive games, including two scores last week against the Packers. He was targeted six times on the game, grabbing merely two. Drew Brees attempts almost 40 passes a game, leaving ample opportunity for both Moore and Marques Colston each week.

WR Terrell Owens, DAL - The return of Tony Romo has elevated Terrell Owens' game. Owens, who could not produce with Brad Johnson at QB, has been impressive in his last two games, catching 12 passes for 311 yards and two TDs. It appears as if the return of Romo is exactly what Terrell Owens needed to get back on track as a top 10 fantasy WR. Despite the Cowboys rough schedule coming up (@PIT, NYG, BAL, @PHI), it would be difficult to bench Owens the way he and Romo have been in sync.

WR Amani Toomer, NYG - *** POTENTIAL WAIVER WIRE GEM *** - Toomer was one of two Giants' wide receivers with nine targets against the Redskins in Week 13. New York was forced once again to line up without Plaxico Burress, and Toomer helped Eli Manning to a productive passing game with five catches and 85 yards, including a 40-yard score on the opening drive where he beat Fred Smoot one on one down the right sideline. Toomer is a seasoned veteran and faces Philadelphia next week, a team he historically performs very well against.

Downgrade

WR Donnie Avery, STL - Avery was held without a catch. He has not been as effective as of late. He did draw two pass interference penalties on the first drive of the game. The Rams only targeted Avery twice on the game. Since week nine, Avery only has one game with at least 30 receiving yards.

WR Plaxico Burress, NYG - This one is a no-brainer, much like Burress' recent actions. A gunshot wound, legal issues, and likely an imminent suspension makes Burress a benched receiver at best and quite possibly a recommended drop. He will likely be placed on the non-football injury list soon. It remains to be seen if he will get suspended for his gun-wielding in a nightclub last week.

WR Chris Chambers, SD - Chambers got off to a hot start this season, catching five touchdown passes in his first five games. But then he missed the sixth and seventh games due to injury, and has not been the same since his return. Over the last five games, he has caught 15 passes for only 131 yards and no touchdowns, making him the Chargers' fifth-leading receiver over that period (behind Vincent Jackson, Antonio Gates, Malcom Floyd, and LaDainian Tomlinson).

WR Braylon Edwards, CLE - Edwards has had a tough time holding onto the ball this season, and now he has lost his team's top two quarterbacks. (Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn are both out the remainder of the season with injuries.) Now Edwards will have Ken Dorsey throwing him the ball against some tough opponents in next couple weeks as the Browns travel to Tennessee and Philadelphia.

WR Justin Gage, TEN - Gage returned from injury in Week 10 and put up a pair of nice showings. Since then, he has returned to his normal less-than-mediocre production in Weeks 12 and 13. If he can't be a viable option against the Lions, then Gage can't be counted upon at all.

WR Ted Ginn, MIA - Ginn's production has fallen in the last couple of weeks, and he had a disappointing effort against the woeful Rams in Week 13. Clearly, the Dolphins are content to pound out narrow wins on the ground, so Ginn's production will be sporadic at best even with the loss of Greg Camarillo.

WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh, CIN - Houshmandzadeh and the rest of the Cincinnati receivers really have no chance at being consistent fantasy producers. Ryan Fitzpatrick simply has been terrible and often misses his targets badly.

WR Bryant Johnson, SF - Johnson is the starter opposite Isaac Bruce, but Jason Hill is actually the No. 2 producing WR on the roster. Johnson simply isn't getting it done.

WR Matt Jones, JAX - Jones had his second 100-yard game of the season on Monday night, catching eight passes for 104 yards on 11 targets. He gets a downgrade, however, the appeal of his suspension will be heard this week. He was suspended for three games in October as a result of his arrest for cocaine possession in July, but the suspension will not be served until after his appeal is heard. Which means he could be sitting out as early as this week's game in Chicago.

WR Randy Moss, NE - Despite 12 targets, Randy Moss snared only four balls and just 45 yards against a tough Pittsburgh defense. Two big drops, one of which should have been a touchdown, highlighted his smallish performance. The weather was not great but Moss should have had a bigger day. Expect him to rebound against Seattle next week.

WR Steve Smith, CAR - Smith enjoyed his fifth 100-yard receiving game in only ten games against the Packers on Sunday. His highlight reel clutch grab in the fourth quarter that brought the Panthers to the one yard line for the go-ahead score was monumental in the team's win over Green Bay. Smith also had another less meaningful catch in the fourth quarter for 36 yards where he was tackled at the one yard line. He can't catch a break. He was literally two yards shy of two TDs that would've given his fantasy owners a huge advantage. Keep starting Smith, despite Delhomme's recent struggles. His next game is at home on Monday night against division rival Tampa Bay in a battle for the lead atop the dominant NFC South. Smith and the Panthers are 5-0 at home this season.

WR Wes Welker, NE - Wes Welker struggled against a formidable Steelers’ secondary. The weather was bad and the defense swarmed Matt Cassel, but Welker’s short routes should have provided more relief for the Patriots’ passing attack. Welker was forced from the game following a big hit which likely cost him his streak of at least six catches in every game this year. Assuming he is healthy enough next week, he should return to form against a weak Seattle Seahawks team.

Tight End

Upgrade

TE Martellus Bennett, DAL - *** POTENTIAL WAIVER WIRE GEM *** - All he does is catch TDs. Bennett may not be targeted as much as teammate Jason Witten, but he does represent value - Bennett has three scores in his last four receptions. The rookie from Texas A&M has outstanding hands, which has helped him catch TDs in each of the last three games, with four scores overall. Bennett is someone to consider if you're in need of a TE.

TE Tony Gonzalez, KC - Gonzalez has upped his game the last two weeks. After catching 10 balls for 113 yards and a touchdown in week thirteen, the veteran tight end had another big week. Against the Raiders, Gonzalez caught eight Tyler Thigpen passes for 110 yards. He was targeted 11 times, including three times on the opening drive. Next up on the schedule is the Denver Broncos who gave up a big game to Dustin Keller Sunday.

TE Todd Heap, BAL - As Joe Flacco continues to improve in the Ravens’ offense, Todd Heap looks to be a beneficiary of a bigger passing game. Heap caught a touchdown against Cincinnati, his first since his two-TD effort against Houston in Week 10, but his four catches on five targets warrant mention. Baltimore faces several some tough passing matchups the rest of the way but if you need a tight end with the possibility of a touchdown in a given week, Heap may be worth a shot.

TE Dustin Keller, NYJ - Keller has been steadily improving his game in the last few weeks. He now has 27 catches in his last four games, with at least six catches or more in each game. The rookie first round pick TE from Purdue is really starting to come into his own in his first season in the league. Brett Favre is taking notice and he is rewarding him with passes on plays called specifically to get him the ball. Keller now is considered a TE that you can comfortably start each week. His match up next week at San Francisco should yield more of the same. If he's on your team and your other options aren't as favorable, we recommend rolling with the rookie. He is even a good flex option start thanks to his consistent solid play in the last four games.

TE Zach Miller, OAK - Miller had some big catches against the Chiefs on Sunday afternoon. Miller ended the day with five receptions for 79 yards. Zach Miller was targeted a whopping eleven times on the game. JaMarcus Russell does not have a good group of wide receivers and must utilize his young tight end more. Miller caught a pass for at least 18 yards three times in the game. He accounted for half of Russell's completions and more than half of the young passer's passing yardage. The Raiders get the San Diego Chargers next week. This is the same Charger team that yields good production to opposing tight ends.

TE Tony Scheffler, DEN - The Denver offense can be one of the league's best when in sync. The now healthy Tony Scheffler is starting to reap some of the benefits of being a part of that offense. Scheffler was a big part of the Broncos game plan against the Jets. Cutler took advantage of outstanding protection, thus giving him several down field options, including Scheffler, who found himself open all game long.

TE Jason Witten, DAL - Witten's rib/chest injury appears to be a worry no more as he cruised to a nine-catch 115 yard, 1 TD game in the Dallas win over Seattle. Witten, along with Terrell Owens, tied for the team lead with ten targets. Before the game, Witten did not have double-digit fantasy points since week five and never exceeded 4.0 FPs in his last four games. Dallas had a favorable passing match up against Seattle, but Witten appears safe to start regardless of the opponent.

Downgrade

TE Vernon Davis, SF - Despite being healthy, Davis was held without a reception in Week 13. He has a total of seven targets in his last four games and simply isn't a viable fantasy TE.

TE Anthony Fasano, MIA - Fasano simply isn't getting many opportunities lately. Over his last three games, he has been targeted only four total times and has caught only one pass for seven yards. Further, he hasn't scored a TD since Week 8.

TE Jeff King, CAR - Some people keep waiting for this guy to turn into a viable option, but it just isn't going to happen - King simply isn't getting enough looks. The Panthers are more than willing to run DeAngelo Williams (and Jonathan Stewart) around the goalline, and when the passing game is used, Jake Delhomme most often looks to his two top WRs.

TE L.J. Smith, PHI - Smith is basically an afterthought in this offense. Donovan McNabb is clearly more confident in his WRs and looked at Smith only three times out of 39 pass attempts.

TE Kellen Winslow, CLE - Winslow gets a big downtick as he will miss at least Week 14 with his high ankle sprain. There is a chance he will be out for the remainder of the season.

Kicker

Upgrade

PK Rob Bironas, TEN - Bironas was able to get ample scoring chances against the Lions. The games that the Titans control with a lead, and are able to run the ball effectively, are ones where Bironas scores well. The Titans obliterated the Lions on Thanksgiving. The next two games on the schedule should look the same. The Browns and Texans are next on the agenda. Bironas hit four field goals against Detroit, all in the second half as the Titans were playing with a lead. All of the field goals were from over 40 yards out. He also hit all five extra point chances. Bironas could be a great waiver wire kicker the next two weeks.

PK Matt Bryant, TB - Bryant has made at least two field goals in all but two games this season. On the year, he has made 28 of 32 field goals and all 26 extra point kicks. In week thirteen, Bryant made all three field goal attempts and both point after opportunities.

PK Garrett Hartley, NO - *** POTENTIAL WAIVER WIRE GEM *** - Hartley is still perfect this season. While he's only been active for four games, he has booted all eight of his FGs and all 13 of his PAT tries.

Downgrade

PK Rian Lindell, BUF - Lindell still has potential for some high-scoring games, but he is missing too many kicks. He missed two FGs in Week 13 and has been off on three attempts in his last three games. That type of inaccuracy can be brutal in some fantasy scoring systems, but missing out on scoring chances is unacceptable in any league.

PK Shaun Suisham, WAS - For a while this season, Suisham was a hot fantasy option, but he has faltered badly lately. He hasn't scored in double-digits since Week 8 and has missed a FG attempt in each of his last three games.

Team Defense

Upgrade

TD Dallas Cowboys, DAL - The Cowboys have really poured on the defensive pressure lately, and it has showed in their fantasy production. In their last three games, they have sacked opposing QBs a league-leading 14 times while forcing five turnovers.

TD Minnesota Vikings, MIN - This is the defense most expected to see all season. Over their last three games, the Vikings have forced nine turnovers and accumulated eight sacks. They have also scored a TD on a return. They should put up an enormous effort in Week 14 against the Lions.

Downgrade

TD Arizona Cardinals, ARI - With as poor as this defense is, one has to wonder if they are ever able to stop their team's offense in practice. Regardless, they certainly haven't stopped anyone lately while allowing 105 points and over 950 points in their last three games. Even worse for their fantasy prospects, the Cardinals aren't producing any stats on their own - five turnovers and four sacks in the last three weeks.

TD Green Bay Packers, GB - The disappointing Green Bay defense simply isn't producing. In their last three games, they have only three turnovers and only four sacks. Plus, they have allowed 89 points and almost 1000 yards over that span. The Saints and Panthers pretty much had their way with the Packers in the last two weeks.
