If you're wondering how different WRs stack up against each other, this is the most in depth conglomeration of WR data you'll see this preseason. View how rankings have changed from the end of 2007 to the beginning of training camp to the present. Examine how each of the top 50 WRs fared last season in several different categories. Make your own determinations based on hard to find data compilations that will aid in helping you decide who to target in 2008.
The best way to use this comparison tool is to download the excel spreadsheet so you can toggle between each category and see how each WR stacks up against its competition. However, the tables below shows all of the separate categories sorted by 2008 August preseason rank.

- diff - The difference in WR rank from July 08 to August 08
- 10+ - Number of games with 10+ targets in 2007
- 75+ - Number of games with at least 75 yards receiving in 2007
- 100 - Number of games with at least 100 yards receiving in 2007
- 150 - Number of games with at least 150 yards receiving in 2007
- 15FP - Number of games with at least 15 Fantasy Points in 2007
- 20FP - Number of games with at least 15 Fantasy Points in 2007
- 6+ - Number of games with at least six receptions in 2007
- mult - number of games with at least two TDs scored in 2007
- sum - Sum of numbers from all categories
- GP - Games Played
- TD - Number of games with at least one TD scored in 2007
- TD% - Percentage of scoring at least one TD per games played
- 75% - Percentage of reaching 75+ yards receiving per games played
- 15% - Percentage of reaching 15+ fantasy points per games played
- 6% - Percentage of reaching at least six receptions per games played
- tot% - The average of all four % categories
What stands out?
- In one month Nate Burleson has climbed 17 spots in WR ranking, while Bobby Engram has dropped 17 spots
- Chad Johnson has climbed 11 spots now that a holdout threat is an afterthought
- 49ers WR Bryant Johnson has climbed 8 spots, while Sidney Rice and Ted Ginn have climbed 7 spots each
- Surprisingly, Marvin Harrison has dropped 3 spots in the ranking
- Three WRs had double-digit games of 10 targets or more. Larry Fitzgerald, T.J. Houshmandzadeh and Derrick Mason. Interestingly enough, Greg Jennings had only one game of 10 targets or more in 2007. In contrast, Donald Driver had four games of 10 targets or more
- Patrick Crayton had one big game in 2007 - 184 yards on 7 catches with 2 TDs against the Rams. He didn't eclipse 73 yards in any other game
- Hines Ward didn't have a single 100-yd game in 2007. He had two in 2006 and four in 2005
- Roddy White had five 100-yd games in 2007. That's more than Braylon Edwards, Marques Colston, Steve Smith and Larry Fitzgerald.
- Jerricho Cotchery had six 75+ yd games, four 100+ yd games and two 150+ yd games - yet he scored only two TDs all year. Bring on Brett Favre!
- Nate Burleson scored a TD in 50% of the games he played in last year, but he had only 15+ FP once.
- Andre Johnson scored at least one TD in 7 of his 9 games played in 2007. He also had at least six receptions in 8 of his 9 games
- According to these numbers, Derrick Mason, Jerricho Cotchery and D.J. Hackett are underrated
- If Andre Johnson is healthy all year, he has the talent and ability to compete with the best of the elite WRs
