Week 6 Early Injury Report

Quarterback
QB Marc Bulger - STL - Bulger didn't play on Sunday due to his broken ribs (listed as questionable on Friday). It was common knowledge that he'd sit out the game unless Gus Frerotte couldn't finish his first start (Frerotte did play the entire game).
QB David Carr - CAR - Carr left the game on Sunday due to a tweaked back, but eventually returned to lead the Panthers to victory. "When I got hit, I felt like I got sat on and twisted, and every bone in my back popped all the way to the back of my neck," Carr said afterwards. "It was by far the worst pain I've ever felt in my life. There was no doubt. I was rolling around out there like an idiot, but that's how it felt. I was like, 'Stop moving.' I was trying to tell myself, but I couldn't."
QB Jake Delhomme - CAR - According to ESPNews, Delhomme will undergo elbow surgery and miss the remainder of the season. For Sunday's game, Delhomme's injured right elbow kept him out of the game as expected (listed as doubtful on Friday). He did warm up on the sidelines briefly when David Carr's back was injured during the game, but Carr later returned to action and Delhomme stayed on the sidelines.
QB Trent Green - MIA - Green was taken off the field after being inadvertently kneed in the head by a defender as Green tried to block him low. He was immobilized and taken off the field via stretcher on his way to the locker room. It was later reported from the locker room that Green sustained a concussion and was taken to the hospital.
QB Brian Griese - CHI - Griese's right knee was sore after the game (he was spotted icing it) - he commented "My knee's fine. This is just old age."
QB Joey Harrington - ATL - Harrington was pulled out of the Titans game due to the number of hard hits he was taking as a precautionary measure, and remains the starting QB in Atlanta. Coach Petrino commented on Monday "He took a lot of hits and toward the end of the third quarter, I didn't think he was completing passes that he normally completes. Making the change might provide a spark for us and get us something going. I think it was the right thing to do."
QB Damon Huard - KC - Huard is presumed out for the team's Week 6 game after injuring his right shoulder during the team's Week 5 game. Brodie Croyle will step into the hot seat in K.C. On Monday, the team backpedaled a bit and said that Huard won't be ruled out until results of tests on his shoulder are known, but it looks as if Croyle will get the nod none-the-less.
QB Matt Leinart - ARI - Leinart has a fractured left collarbone and is expected to miss 6-8 weeks. He'll be evaluated further as the week goes along - 6-8 weeks is the initial estimate of how long he's out.
QB Alex Smith - SF - Smith missed the game on Sunday as expected (right shoulder separation, out on Friday).
Running Back
RB Joseph Addai - IND - Addai's chest injury cost him the game on Sunday after being listed as questionable on Friday.
RB Darian Barnes - NYJ - Barnes suffered an upper-leg injury and left the game - the severity of the injury isn't currently known.
RB Mike Bell - DEN - Bell's concussion landed him on the inactive list this week (questionable on Friday).
RB Brian Calhoun - DET - Calhoun landed on IR before the game on Sunday due to his injured knee.
RB Kevin Faulk - NE - Faulk left the game on Sunday in the second quarter with an ankle injury and did not return to action - he'll be evaluated further as the week goes along.

RB Ahman Green - HOU - Green's sore knee kept him out of the game on Sunday after being listed as questionable on Friday. He was a game-time scratch this week.

RB Steven Jackson - STL - Jackson's sore groin cost him another game on Sunday, as expected (listed as out on Friday).
RB Jamal Lewis - CLE - Lewis was forced from the team's Week 5 game after injuring his right foot in the first quarter. He did not return to the game. He'll be evaluated further as the week goes along. "I came off the field and told the trainers what I felt," Lewis said after the game. "After we came in here and looked at it, we said to cool out. We'll evaluate it (Monday). I think it's going to be all right. We just didn't want to go out and do anything crazy." A MRI is scheduled to further evaluate Lewis' foot.
RB Laurence Maroney - NE - Maroney's sore groin cost him another game on Sunday after being listed as questionable on Friday.
RB Andrew Pinnock - SD - Pinnock's sore knee cost him the game on Sunday, as expected (listed as out on Friday).
RB Michael Pittman - TB - Pittman reportedly suffered a cracked fibula during the game on Sunday and will miss 3-4 weeks - Earnest Graham and Ken Darby the last tail backs standing right now, although the team will probably make a move to acquire some help as the week goes along. On Monday, Coach Gruden revised the time frame to out 6-8 weeks, and called the injury "a pretty good sprain," adding that the Bucs will know more when they receive the results of an MRI later today.
RB Mack Strong - SEA - Strong suffered a stinger during the team's Week 5 game. No additional information is currently available.
RB DeShawn Wynn - GB - Wynn left in the first quarter for intravenous fluids to treat cramps and dehydration, but returned to action. He and Vernand Morency enlivened a flat rushing game during the contest vs. Chicago, but the Packers gave away the game with turnovers.

WR Bernard Berrian - CHI - Berrian injured his toe during the game on Sunday night - he'll be evaluated further as the week goes along.
