2007 Preseason / 2006 End-of-season RB and WR Comparisons

The below is a breakdown comparison of the preseason top 40 RBs and WRs using stats from the 2006 season. Several statistical categories are included and the sum from all categories is totaled in the column labeled Total pts. This provides a further illustration of which players are the total package and how they rank among each other. The category labeled Total pts rank is the ranking of the players point totals using this breakdown.

Key: Running Backs

  • Pre = 2007 preseason rankings
  • 20+ = carries of 20 or more in a game
  • 75+ = games with 75 yards rushing or more
  • 100+ = games with 100 yards rushing or more
  • 150+ = games with 150 rushing yards or more
  • 15+ = games in which 15 fantasy points or more is reached (1 pt per 10 yds rush/rec, 6 pts per TD, No PPR)
  • 20+ = games in which 20 fantasy points or more is reached (using same scoring format as above)
  • 5+ = games in which the player had 5 receptions or more
  • TDs = games in which the player scored 2 TDs or more (rushing or receiving)
  • Pts = sum of all points from each category
  • Rk = 2006 rank of players based on the sum of all points from each category
