*** Friday Update ***
QB Marc Bulger (STL) partially participated in Friday's practice and is officially questionable to play this weekend. However, Bulger reportedly did not feel well after Thursday's meetings, and multiple sources say he will not play this weekend.
"Marc had really what I thought were two very good practices Wednesday and Thursday, but that's the objective part," coach Scott Linehan said. "I guess the subjective part is he didn't feel really good after (Thursday) afternoon's meetings.
"Because of that, it puts some questions in my mind as to whether or not he should be cleared to play. . . .We're not going to put a guy out on the field if there's any doubt whatsoever when it comes to these kinds of injuries. Or any injuries."
*** Thursday Update ***
QB Marc Bulger (STL) won't clear himself to start just yet despite passing a neuropsych test Tuesday, which cleared him for practice. Asked whether he's definitely starting Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals, Bulger said, "I wouldn't say that. I haven't been able to do anything for the last 10 days. That was just to get me back on the practice field." HC Scott Linehan said Bulger will play assuming he makes it through a week of practice without any side effects. Otherwise, reserve QB Brock Berlin will start.

"It's a day-to-day operation right now, but he is getting better, and I can only make the decision on Sunday when we get to the stadium."
*** Thursday Update ***
QB Jeff Garcia (TB) partially participated in Thursday's practice. The team is encouraged with his progress. "He took a lot more snaps today and we'll see how he feels tomorrow," coach Jon Gruden said.
Gruden said on Wednesday that he wanted to see how the quarterback bounced back from a day of limited work. Gruden seemed comfortable with what he saw.
"I think so," Gruden said. "He's certainly getting better."
QB Jeff Garcia (TB) suffered a deep back bruise more than a week ago in the game against the Washington Redskins. HC Jon Gruden said there was a possibility that Garcia could play Sunday against the Houston Texans. "We'll just take it day by day."

RB Jerious Norwood (ATL) could become more of a focal point in the Falcons offense according to HC Bobby Petrino. "We have to get Jerious touches," Petrino said. "When you watch the video, he's the most explosive player out there for us. His speed shows up. He makes big plays, whether it's catching the ball or running the ball; so it is a situation where we have to get him more touches one way or the other."

"He practiced about like he did yesterday," said coach Dick Jauron on Friday. "So we're a lot more optimistic."
"It's just steadily improving," said Lynch Friday. "I feel good about it."
"We've got him in that 50-50 category," said Jauron of Lynch's listing as questionable. "Again we'll monitor him (Saturday) and see how he feels. Going into the game we'll check him out and see how he's feeling on game day, but I feel good about him."
*** Thursday Update ***
RB Marshawn Lynch (BUF) partially participated in Thursday's practice. Lynch's ankle responded well to his first day of practice Wednesday, practicing a second straight day, while getting the majority of first team reps. "He was limited, but only really by definition," said HC Dick Jauron. "Normally he'd get more reps. Before he got hurt he got more reps than he got today, but he was in the normal rotation pretty much. He just didn't get as many (reps) as he normally gets." Jauron feels good about Lynch's chances of returning to the lineup for the first time in a month. "He looked good," Jauron said. "He tolerated yesterday's practice pretty well, so we're optimistic."

*** Thursday Update ***
RB Travis Henry (DEN) says his knee, which suffered a slightly torn ligament five weeks ago, is at about 80 percent and could continue to give reps away to backups Selvin Young and/or Andre Hall. The Broncos averaged a league high 148.3 yards rushing while Henry was out. "It's a nice problem to have," HC Mike Shanahan said. "Whenever you have three healthy guys back, you're excited."
RB Travis Henry (DEN) won the appeal of his 12-month drug suspension and will be able to finish out the remainder of the season. Henry claimed the positive drug test for marijuana was because he was a victim of secondhand smoke. Faced with the possibility of getting a year-long suspension because he's been a past offender, Henry even took his case to a federal court. After waiting for a ruling, he was notified Tuesday afternoon he won his appeal. "Travis Henry will remain in the substance abuse program, must continue to adhere to all aspects of it, but will not be suspended following his appeal," the NFL announced in a statement Tuesday.

Aaron Stecker and Pierre Thomas will carry the rushing load in Bush's absence.
*** Friday Update ***
RB Reggie Bush (NO) did not practice on Friday and is questionable to play this weekend. Bush suffered a torn posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during last Sunday's game against Tampa Bay. The team learned of the injury last night.
HC Sean Payton said he is still holding out hope that Bush can play in Monday night's game at Atlanta. But it's also possible that Bush could miss several weeks, putting the remainder of his season in jeopardy.
"He has soreness and swelling in the knee," said Payton. "Yesterday he was able to practice on it and he will be a game-time decision, and we will continue to monitor where he is at in his progress with rehab."
"I don't know if that would be the case right now. I think that would be a little premature," said Payton of the reports that Bush's season is over. "I don't know who reported it but if you just study the history of PCL tears, I know they vary with each player and I know it is an injury that you can come back from, and we will see, I am still hopeful for this weekend's game based on how he practiced yesterday. It is going to come down to the swelling and the condition of it as it applies to him playing."

RB Brandon Jacobs (NYG) HC Tom Coughlin said he believes RB Brandon Jacobs will be okay to start this Sunday against the Eagles as scheduled. Backup RB Derrick Ward, who started for Jacobs (hamstring) the last two weeks, will likely miss the rest of the season with a broken fibula. "[Jacobs] was scheduled to be back anyway," Coughlin said, "If Jacobs can come back and play through the end of the season without further injury, we'll be in good shape."
RB Derrick Ward (NYG) has officially been placed on the injured reserve list, so his season is over.

"He took the plays we needed him to take, then we got him off the turf and in for a little treatment," head coach Andy Reid said.
Westbrook prepares himself away from the practice field as well, says Reid.
"You have the meetings, and your conditioning. These are all things that you need to maintain throughout the week," Reid said. "You have to keep yourself mentally sharp and physically ready to go. If you're hurt there are other ways of getting your cardio work in, making sure your endurance is right for the game.
"Those are things Brian does and then, the opportunity he had to get some practice time in today. He did both walkthroughs the last couple days, so we were able to get him some reps on the new stuff."

WR Anquan Boldin (ARI) looks very iffy for this weekend's game (and possibly for the rest of the season) due to hip and toe injuries. As HC Ken Whisenhunt understands it, the issues involve how much damage was done, the likelihood of Boldin dislocating the toe again, and pain management and tolerance. The hip injury also seems to have affected Boldin's play since his return. "I'm sure he has pain there," Whisenhunt said. "That was a very traumatic injury. He fought hard to get back. The only thing that's going to get that better is rest."
