Manning injured the thumb on his right (throwing) hand during the game on Sunday, banging it into an Tarik Glenn's helmet on follow-through from a pass. However, he managed to keep the digit loose and stayed in the game. After the game, he commented "I was a little worried at first, but I went over, made a few warmup throws and it was fine," he said. "I guess adrenaline pulled me through there a little, too." Manning also commented "I don't know the medical jargon, but it's fine."
