Quarterback
Brooks missed another game on Sunday (shoulder, questionable on Friday's injury report).
Carr left the game on Sunday due to a bruised left shoulder, and did not return to action. He initially looked to be in a great deal of pain but after a bit, he felt good enough to be throwing the ball on the sideline. He'll be evaluated further as the week goes along.
Lingering pain/swelling in Culpepper's reconstructed knee continues to sideline him (doubtful on Friday).
Green missed another game on Sunday (concussion), but was in uniform and available as the #3 (emergency) QB. The poor play of Damon Huard has people wondering when Green will return. Coach Herman Edwards said last week that it will be a tough decision.
“I’m going to sit (Green) down and talk with him,” Edwards said, “and see what the doctors say.”
Green has been out since Sept. 10 because of a severe concussion. Edwards said the loss this week would not prompt him to rush Green’s return.
“No, no no,” Edwards said. “No way.”

Leftwich's sore ankle kept him sidelined on Sunday (listed as questionable on Friday).

Brown suffered a groin injury during the game on Sunday, and though he managed to return to action it was not insignificant: Brown said he was about 70% after the injury. "The main thing was when I was running to the left, it kind of affected me a little bit," Brown said. 'Between the tackles I felt pretty comfortable." He'll be evaluated further as the week goes along - Brown owners will want to pay attention to his progress/status this week.

Cobb's sore ankle sidelined him on Sunday (probable on Friday's injury report).
Cramer was sidelined on Sunday due to his concussion (listed as questionable on Friday).

Gore will be evaluated further as the week goes along as brain traumas often cause side effects days or weeks after the initial injury is inflicted. Teams rostering Gore will want to pay attention to his practice participation this week. Initially, Gore is considered probable for next Sunday's game against Seattle after suffering the concussion.

Portis broke the fourth metacarpal bone in his right hand during the game on Sunday and is expected to be out at least three to four weeks. "I haven't talked to him yet, but it's something that might have to have some screws," coach Gibbs said after the game.
Bubba Tyer, the Redskins' director of sports medicine, said Portis would undergo surgery as soon as today to repair the fourth metacarpal bone in his right hand, which is the bone that runs below the ring finger. Tyer said Portis would have screws inserted to stabilize the bone, but that the injury would be particularly difficult for Portis, because as a running back he must be comfortable gripping the football. Portis is right-handed.
There is a fair amount of speculation that if the Redskins remain out of contention (which seems likely) that Portis might miss the rest of the season instead of rushing back.

Houshmandzadeh was shaken up during the game on Sunday, and did not return to action. San Diego free safety Marlon McCree apologized for inflicting the concussion on Houshmandzadeh on Monday, saying "I apologize to (Houshmandzadeh). I'm going to pray for him and I'm going to call him (today) and make sure he's OK because the last thing I want to do is to end a guy's career on some cheap shot. I'm not a cheap player. I've never played this game to be dirty or to hurt anybody."
Houshmandzadeh reported a large amount of memory loss after the game "To be honest, I don't remember a whole lot of the game right now. A big part of it has just kind of gotten away from me." He'll be watched carefully in the wake of this injury.
